PLOT OVERVIEW

Spirits of the Earth is a high fantasy role-playing game where literally anything is possible. Set on a very future Earth after the collapse of civilization as we today know it—or even the very destruction and rebirth of the Earth itself, depending on who you ask—the game centers around the large and diverse continent of Le’raana and the various beings that live there. Healed from the scars the wars and technologies of the past inflicted upon it, from a bird’s eye view all might seem peaceful and serene, but that is far from the case, for already history is beginning to repeat itself in the form of wars, greed, racial and religious conflict, and political corruption. And even though the old technologies are dead they could still pose a threat, for scattered throughout Le’raana and even the rest of the world lie ancient ruins and relics from the civilizations of the past, and some of these relics could potentially prove dangerous, lest the people of the new Earth make the same mistakes their ancestors did…

We offer:

• A fun, active, friendly, drama-free and advertisement-free community that has been going strong for over seven years with no hiatuses or shut downs. Needless to say, you don't have to worry about it dying! All players are welcome, as well. If you have a story to tell, come on in! New people are loved.
• A diverse and open setting that allows players to participate in shaping SotE's unique world and culture. Many of the lands and countries in SotE's setting have been suggested by the players, and players are allowed to submit their own races, religions, and even plants and animals to the site. The game is in a constant state of change and growth, and what you do does matter! There's a little something for everyone here with settings ranging from the cryptic but misunderstood country of Necromantia and the militaristic and advanced, magic-hating country of Connlaoth to the rich Southern deserts, lush Yoreiq isles, haunted Adelan brothel, and everything in between.
• Player-driven plots that range anywhere from casual one-on-one role-plays to epic, site-wide conflicts and adventures. Both are encouraged!
• The opportunity to play as any original character you like, whether it be a humanoid like a human or an elf, an animal like a wolf or a dragon, or even something you've created entirely on your own.
