SCHMETTERLING DEMON
1. Mating Habits
Only males make up this species, this however does not ruin their mating. Their mating habits are also their hunting habits. They kill their ‘mate’ by having sex. When the Demons are not in heat, they simply produce a poison that kills the-could-be host, when they are in heat they produce larva. The larva attaches its self to the host and feeds off of her/him until the normal time of a human baby to be born, when the now giant maggot-like larva pushes its self out of its ‘mother’, usually killing her/him it proceeds to feed. Even if the larva leaving its mother doesn’t kill her/him, they would be too weak after the birth and would be then eaten alive. Though Schmetterling Demons are usually attracted to the females of the humanoid species, sometimes they chose to experiment and impregnate males, its very much the same, just more bloody and disturbing, males generally die, along with the larva, because their body does not have the right… storage equipment.

2. Appearance
All Schmetterling demons have two forms, their original butterfly-humanoid like form, which is rather disturbing to view, and a form of the creatures they live with. While all their butterfly-humanoid shapes are vaguely the same, the ‘human’ forms can take on any shape from which they desire. They get one form, and it is usually created in the best interest for acquiring a mate, so, they tend to be ‘the best’ of the group of males. If a Demon took on the form of a bull humanoid, and their best males were considered the ones with the biggest horns, the Demon would have slightly larger horns than the rest of them.

Schmetterling form: These creatures are rather ugly. They have large fangs, long antennae trailing from their foreheads, long fingers and sharp claws. Though they tend to keep characteristics from their other forms, this is only slight and on the skin and face and hair. Their wings, large and leathery are shaped like a butterflies and are usually very vibrant in colour. Not the type to wear clothes because there isn’t anything to see, their bodies tend to be covered in natural markings, also vibrant in colour and attracting to the eye. They hardly ever morph into this form and when they do, it is because of dire circumstances, or they need to fly somewhere.

Humanoid form: ‘Pick of the litter’. They’re usually the strongest, fastest, most attractive males of he species, and because of this, there is usually only one Schmetterling Demon for miles so they don’t become too suspicious. They can be bums, and they can also be political, whatever suits their fancy as long as they get to eat.

3. Life
These creatures live until they die of starvation. Many get fed up with their life so they simply starve themselves. Though, many others enjoy the game and stay alive for centuries. They can also be killed as easily as a human, loss of blood, decapitation, and if they were ‘injected’ with poison from another male of their species, or, because they were a host from for a rival males larva (their type of rape I suppose). Usually solitary creatures, they are just like humans in the sense that they’ll enjoy company if that is what they grew up with, though, not many people enjoy chatting with a wriggling maggot for five years and teach it how to read. Just like caterpillars, the larva produce a sticky substance which hardens in about two hours, they remain in their shells for nearly a year before they break out, about the size of a young child in their Schmetterling form, from which they slowly ‘dry out’ from and into the surrounding species form. If a child were to ‘dry out’ among a city of mixed people he would look like a mixed version of the two prominent species or if there was a very dominant species simply that one because it presented the most opportunities to hunt. If one were to ‘dry out’ around a pack of wolves, it would keep the humanoid shape but be furry, have a tail a snout and ears. That is usually only in unwanted children and they usually die because of self-starvation due to the meat they are presented with (animals) is undesirable and their methods of hunting cannot be used in this case.

4. “Love”
These Demons, though they do have the full array of emotions, generally do not ‘love’ and if they do ‘love’ they do not have sex with their loved one because it would kill them. When these demons are in love, they go out of their way to pet and cuddle and also be close to the person of their choosing, they do give their ‘loved one’ pleasures, the tend to chose not to because that is almost like threatening to kill them. If their loved one leaves/dies or in the odd case does have sex with the Demon, he usually starves himself and dies because of depression. Schmetterling Demons gain no pleasure from sex (they don’t have those nerves down there and they don’t orgasm), which is why they pet and cuddle, the simple pleasure of having company they don’t plan on eating is pleasure enough. The only reason why they would inject their loved one with poison would be because the Demon figured he could keep from injecting it, this never works however because during ‘the act’ poison leaks and even a drop can be fatal if given enough time to travel to the brain, which it does because there is no cure of their poison and there is nothing strong enough in a humanoid body to produce something that could kill it.

5. Death
They die because of starvation, bleeding, ‘giving birth’, or they’ve been beaten to death because their secret has been found out. There are no Schmetterling demons as of yet who’ve died because of old age, simply boredom.

5. “Laws”
It is forbidden to mate with those of their own species. It is forbidden to keep humans close at hand where they can find out their secret, it is also forbidden to speak of their species. The latter two are generally unknown and demons do tend to take on simple companions who have no problems with them eating their neighbors. However, mating with those of their own species is greatly frowned upon, on the very odd case this is done by accident, but sometimes ‘groups’ of demons come along to ‘murder’ a well-known demon or simply one who has invaded their territory. Sometimes the group plans it so they are in heat and so the male becomes a host, in this case the only way to keep himself from giving birth is to commit suicide by loss of blood.

6. The Poison
Induces a cease of brain activity, lungs stop working, heart stops pumping and they die painlessly and suddenly, works a half hour to an hour after ‘injection’. If victim is asleep, they simply die in their sleep and then the demon proceeds to either eat them like a barbarian or cut them up and store them in a freezer for a later date. They do not eat the brain or the womb and private parts, because those are tainted with their poison and while it won’t harm them, it would taste down right nasty. All demons find that out the hard way.

7. Eating Habits
These demons can sustain themselves for months before they starve. They are omnivores, but will always have a large helping of meat (humanoid) on their plates. Like normal humanoids, they like flavour and even have vegetables as a side dish. They can only feed on their own kills or one made by father/son because other demons kills makes them violently ill, a way to ward of thieves. This does not affect humans should they want to see what other humans taste like.

8. Infancy
Born violently and starting life off with a big meal, they are in a maggot looking form for the first five years of their life. They eat food giving to them by their father after his hunts, and are aware in a sense, they hear but they cannot see or speak. At the exact age of five, they begin to produce a thick sticky substance that hardens quickly and harder than cement. They remain in this stage for a year before they break out of their shell in their ‘adult’ form, which is roughly the size of a small child and looks to be about five or six. They age quickly and within a month they seem to be in their late teens, and in a complete ‘humanoid’ form, be that whatever it is. Mentally they are immature and at first they are sloppy and very bad at hunting. They’re ‘booted from the nest’ after their first hunt and set out to make it on their own. The parent generally doesn’t care for them or know about them after they leave the ‘nest’ and could care less about them after that as well.

9. Extra info
Even if they take the shape of a species, they gain no abilities of it. If a Demon where to be born among Drow, it would look it, but it would have to rely on its strong sense of hearing because it would not be able to see like other Drow. These demons have echo location (like moths), and while it is greatly dimmed in their humanoid form, it still generally works and they could successfully walk around with their eyes closed without looking completely drunk. They have a very good sense of smell, are extraordinarily fast and have excellent eyesight. They are predators, and play the dominance game; those who do not gain dominance usually die early on in life because of starvation, whether on purpose or not. These Demons usually have ‘ a block ‘ or sometimes an entire city to themselves depending on how many there are and how dominant the main male is. Generally they keep to themselves, but in the case that they run into one of their own, their scent, only detectible to other Schmetterling Demons, they treat one another with cold reserve. The scent they produce is strong and disgusting to other demons, so, two of them, unless brothers from the same ‘litter,’, do not hang around one another.

DRYGAN
1. Appearance
Humanoid form. They have pointed ears, almost like an elf’s, except longer. They have a long, muscular tail, almost dinosaur like in appearance, but devoid of scales. Their feet are very dragon like, claws and all, but again without scales. Their fingernails are sharp and talon like as well, often black in color to match the talons on their feet. Cat-like vertical pupils. Their skin is very human in texture, but is far tougher than any normal human skin. They also do not perspire heavily, their body temperature able to change with their surroundings like a reptile. This skin can be all sorts of colors, from lightly tanned or fair skinned, to blue, black, and beyond. Their hair will always have at least one strip of white in it, for no Drygan is completely devoid of magickal energy. As for the rest of their hair, this can also be just about any color as well.

2. History
It is said that Drygans were created as a result of a curse. One of the Elementals, the Master of Flame, fell In love with a human. The human, dismayed at the complete difference of species, begged her own gods to turn her into a dragon. Seeing the desperation, the gods agreed. But there was one drawback they issued. Any children the human and Elemental had would be half bloods, outcasts. They would be haunted by their bastard upbringing, never fitting in with dragons or humans. The human, in her haste, agreed, never thinking about the consequences. She eventually ended up laying a clutch of exactly 100 eggs. When they hatched, the Drygan came into existence. There can never be more than 100 of them in existence, and it is assumed that they are reborn again and again after they die, blocked from the land of the Elementals. As legend has it, only the One with Power, or The Chosen, can make it to the heavens when they die. They are the Drygan born every generation with pure white hair and the most powerful of all the Drygans in existence. So far, every Chosen has been killed at a relatively young age, so no one knows if this legend is true.

3. Powers
These creatures are extremely powerful both physically and magickally. They can have control over only two elements, no more, and sometimes one, if they do not have much white in their hair. They have the strength of a dragon in their seemingly human form, and are not afraid to use it. Magickal prowess can be determined by how much white is in their hair. As the magickal power rises, more of the hair is streaked with white. The most powerful Drygan is The Chosen, with completely white hair, which one must be born with. Drygan of this power level can accelerate to extreme speeds by manipulating their excess magick energy. Their two elements are also super-powered. They can even form themselves to look completely human. There is a drawback to this ‘shape-shifting’. Only a certain amount of power is in the body, and once that energy is gone from magick usage, the form begins to disintegrate quickly. The flesh ages rapidly before disappearing completely, showing the Drygan for what it is. Drygan have a keen sense of hearing, smell and eyesight as well, which boosts their reaction time. Also, in extreme circumstances, Drygans can pause the growth of their own bodies by stopping hormone production. This makes them moody and irritable, but in some instances it is needed (example: Terri was forced to be a slave from age 10, and at age 18 still looked to be around 11-12, because she refused to become a pleasure slave). Drygans can also go a long time without food, living off of stored fat and muscle in their tails first before really showing signs of famine.

4. Lifestyle
Drygan are by no means unstoppable, though those most likely to kill a Drygan are other Drygan. With only 100 of them in existence at any one time, Drygan find it hard to keep in touch with one another, and thus have become rather reclusive. They’re not used to a lot of attention, or having a companion. Drygan often fight with others, for fighting is their natural way of settling any sort of dispute. They are more in tune with their dragon side than with their human, so fighting is natural. They are also very proud creatures, but are also surprisingly polite in the right situations (such as respecting another’s property, home, etc.). Drygan will also often challenge others of higher magickal power than themselves, for drinking the blood of a fallen foe with more hair than they have will temporarily boost their own powers. This is also the reason behind why most Chosen are killed when young, the only time they are really vulnerable.

5. Mating
Mating is a challenge, for Drygans do not often run into one another. Therefore, females come into heat only once every few years, but it is intense and lasts a week straight. When a female in heat finds a male of her species, she will follow him around, mewling, and constantly petting his tail. The tail, though used as a weapon very often, is very sensitive, and is a key arousal spot on all Drygan. Once mating has taken place, four months is usually allowed before a female will consider giving birth. They do not get swollen bellies as most other species, and can choose to hold off on giving birth for up to a year and a half. When they do give birth, it is almost always to a single egg, which is only a slight bit bigger than that of an ostrich. Drygans are capable of breeding with many other species, but the babe is almost always distinctly Drygan in appearance and ability. Sometimes they will gain abilities from their off-species parent as well (An example: A Naga/Drygan mix might have potent venom, and a slight hiss to their voice, etc.). Drygans do not often pair up as an actual couple, but when this does happen, the female comes into heat far more often.

6. Precious Items/Artifacts/Oddities
All Drygan hold three things in the most high esteem. Their ears, their tail, and most importantly, their hair (which they NEVER cut, so almost all Drygan have long hair). To loose any one, or gods forbid, all three, is a most horrid and shameful thing. They also do not let anyone touch any of these attributes if they do not trust them wholly. Being proud also means Drygans do not make good slaves at all (Example: Terri was forced to be a slave, had her hair, ears, and tail cropped off to try and break her spirit. She killed 5 masters and many a hired muscle when she struggled against being whipped or sold). All Drygans can be broken into two groups concerning The Chosen. They either revere and nearly worship The Chosen, or they attempt to kill them for their power. The Chosen also has a precious artifact with them at all times. It is the Chosen’s sword, a beautiful silver weapon inlaid with gold and jewels. Another interesting fact, is that Drygan can be made to be totally subservient, but only under their own free will (sounds like a contradiction, let me explain). If a Drygan willingly gives to another one of their white, magick-holding hairs, they are then bound to that person, and must do whatever that person says. On the up side, if the Drygan were somehow to die, they could be resurrected, because their spirit is linked to the hair the other person has, giving them an anchor point in the mortal world. This ritual is tricky, for the dead Drygan and hair owner must either both know the spell, or at least one must. It does not happen often, in any case, for most Drygans are totally opposed to the idea of having anyone ‘own’ them at all.

ETHEREAL
1. Appearance
The Ethereal people are a gentle looking race. While being rather generic looking, their skin a soft pale grey, they often have strange vibrant eyes. Like someone stole the clouds and placed them in the sockets. These clouded eyes can be any colour, but what is more amazing is when the clouds clear up and their real eyes are revealed. Like shining spheres of vibrant colour the coal black pupils are slits just like a cat’s eye. The eyes almost seem to be reflecting colour and light constantly. An Ethereal has no actual mouth, and instead of a nose just two small slits for breathing in and out, that is, when they need to breathe. Ethereals are often no taller than 6’0, though there is a rare occurrence of taller Ethereals. They come in wide varieties of shapes going from thin to fat, stocky to bulky. Ethereals always have raven black or snowy pure white hair, depending on the Ethereal. Usually they keep their hair short and controlled, but sometimes an Ethereal can be seen with long flowing hair done in braids.

2. History
The Ethereal people have been around since the beginning of time. While the Abyss is the Nexus point of travel for all living creatures, the Aether is the land that all the dead must pass through before going to the final resting place. All souls usually pass here before going to the respected heaven, hell, or limbo for that matter. They were created to handle the massive amounts of energy that a soul gives off when it exists. To Necromancers, the Aether and the Ethereal are usually highly respected because of what they do and what they are. No on truly knows how the Abyss or the Aether came to be, some suspect that the universe that holds all the realms had to create the Aether in order to keep the Balance in tune.

3. Powers
The Ethereal people have several innate powers that each one posses. The first is the unique defence mechanism known as ‘Phase Sync’, where an Ethereal will simply step out of the current Phase of Existence, and into a new phase. This makes an Ethereal immune to everything, matter, magic, and metal attacks, BUT renders the Ethereal unable to do anything but to become observers. The second innate power is called ‘Ethereal Tongue’ where they are able to speak to people. They do this by releasing dialogue through mental manipulation, creating sound waves that people are able to hear. The third power is known as the ‘Chaos Aegis.’ This is a particular shield that the Ethereal create around themselves and sometimes others. It’s a bubble of chaotic energy, which in turn will suck in an attacking object then send that object off in a new direction. This can work for pretty much anything; even a falling tree will be split in half. However, the Chaos is unpredictable, and things are able to get through, or become very dangerous. The Ethereal prefer to use Phase Sync instead of Chaos Aegis, for it is much safer. The fourth power the Ethereal can use is the ‘Evocation of Souls’ where they can call Souls of long passed people, to even forcing the soul of a living person to leave the body. A soul cannot be harmed, but communication is possible.

4.) Lifestyle
For many generations, the Ethereal people existed without a form, just a consciousness that floated in an endless space. However, eventually the world was formed into a more solid design. The Ethereal people are laid back for the most part, the only real work they do is guiding Lost Souls and harvesting energy to create new bodies for themselves and others. Rarely do they encounter actual people, as souls are the only thing to pass through their realms, but once in a while they get a living visitor and greet them with open arms. Unless it’s a Necromancer trying to steal the energy and take over the world.

5. Mating
The Ethereal people do not mate with each other. There is no need for it. When enough energy is concentrated, suddenly a new Ethereal will appear. However, the Ethereals can force one into existence by harvesting and pushing enough energy together. When in their physical form on a world, they are able to mate normally, but the men are sterile and the women barren. This is the price that they must pay.

6. Homeland
The Ethereal homeland is beautiful in its own special way. While being devoid of trees and grass, the actual ground is not hard and rocky, but a strange flowing water. A few great cities that rise up into the cloudless, starry sky, made from a material not unlike marble, however it seems to twinkle and sparkle. There is no day in the Ethereal land, just a constant darkness.

7. Religion
“Belief is for those who aren’t the intermediaries for the passage of the departed.” ~First passage in the Book of Value

8. Society
“And so shall it be that the First, the Second, and the Third shall rule. The Voice shall speak for them, the Ears shall listen, the Eyes shall see, and the Hand will bestow justice. The Elders will council and advise the Hand, while the others will obey.” ~Last passage in the Book of Value. In the Ethereal Society, the First, the Second, and the Third are the first three Ethereals in Existence. They have lived many years and many lives, and so as such their impartial wisdom is impeccable. They lead the Ethereals without question. The Voice, the Ears, the Eyes and the Hand are appointed positions by the First, Second and Third. The Voice acts as a line of communication for the Three to communicate with the people and the Elders, as well as the Eyes, Ears, and Hand. The Eyes see everything for the Three, while the Ears hear everything and relay what the people want. The Hand however is vastly different. The Hand operates outside the control of the Three, it deals in Justice of the Ethereal. If an Ethereal does something bad, they can be slain, or even sent to the Abyss for punishment. However the Elder Council (Consisting of the Fourth, Fifth, Sixth, Seventh, Eighth, Ninth and Tenth) decide the punishments that will be carried out by the Hand. The rest of the Race must obey the Three and the Council, as well as whatever the Voice or the Hand decrees.

9. Lifespan
The Ethereal are immortal, and despite their mortal bodies being able to die, their true form, the consciousness, can exist in the Aether or the Physical Worlds. The Consciousness can move back and forth from the Aether and the Physical Worlds and vice versa.

GAROU
1. Characteristics
Appear either identical or extremely similar in basic form to humans. However, Garou men often wear their hair very long (either loose over the shoulders or tied back with a strip of cloth, according to personal preference). This is more a folk belief or superstition than anything serious (much the same as a human might hang a rabbit's foot from their belt for luck) and it is done in the belief that long hair ties the human form of the Garou to the wolf form he or she assumes once a month.

2. Homeland
No specific homeland.

3. Special abilities and distinguishing features
Will transform into a wolf shape once a month. This can be done at other times of the month (at which point the decision to Change is entirely within the Garou's control), but at the full moon the transformation is involuntary. Garou are also possessed of extraordinary physical strength and stamina - a side effect of having two shapes to call upon. Many Garou are at least partly colour-blind.

4. Lifespan
Similar to humans. May be slightly longer due to their physical toughness.

5. Cultural description
The culture of the Garou is based around an extremely large and complex extended family structure. A Garou family will consist not only of parents and cubs, but also any living grandparents, uncles, aunts and cousins that any member of the immediate family may have. Additionally, 'uncle' 'aunt' or 'cousin' status (or indeed any introduction into the extended family circle) may be bestowed as an honourific, and is not reliant on a blood tie. A young Garou is never given a name among their family - they recognise their kin by sight or (if necessary) scent rather than by a name. This came about largely because Garou cannot communicate fluently whilst in their wolf forms. A name is only granted to a Garou when he or she leaves the family circle (as most do) to travel or work in the human kingdoms, and as Garou do not use or even in some cases fully understand the concept of surnames, a secondary name (the equivalent of 'Smith' for a human) is never given. If a surname is necessary (as it would be if a Garou entered a military career or similar), they will often follow their given names with something like 'Wolfe' 'Lupis' or simply 'Garou'. With the exception of a few names from legends (further discussed below) the Garou have no language of their own, and speak either Common or the language of the region in which they live.

6. Religion
The Garou believe in a sort of godlike figure known as Lonchani. According to legend, Lonchani has at least a thousand different faces or appearances, and as all Garou are a part of his family, he obviously knows them all by sight. Part of the reason that names are given before a Garou travels (but not before) is to allow Lonchani to keep track of his wandering family, wherever in the world they may be. The general belief is that Lonchani runs alongside the transformed Garou, rather than living in a separate Heaven\ There are certain things about Garou beliefs which suggest that Lonchani (or at least, the name of Lonchani) may have come out of a fragment of information from the old Earth which was destroyed.

DVORAKI
1. Appearance
The Dvoraki differ greatly in appearance from one another, owing to their innate power: more on that later. But in their natural form they are small, averaging about four and a half feet, with long ears and slender fingers. Their skin is a strange shade, a kind of washed-out midnight-blue; their hair comes in similar subdued shades of green, blue and white. Their eyes are invariably very dark.

2.Lifespan
A typical Dvoraki may live for up to a hundred years. They hit their prime at around thirty, and it lasts until up to seventy, after which they go into a slow decline until the time of their deaths. They’re spry little things.

3. Powers
A Dvoraki can, at will, change its features to resemble someone else or even a random combination of characteristics. This is limited: a Dvoraki could, if he wanted, look like a small human or elf or what have you, but he could not become a wolf or dragon. Additionally, the Dvoraki will only change in appearance: they will not gain or lose any traits or abilities other than that. It is rare for a Dvoraki to have any magical ability other than changing their appearance, though it is not unheard of.

4. Society
Dvoraki society does not, in a sense, exist, thanks to the fact that they have no country or kingdom of their own, instead joining others or adopting a nomadic lifestyle. Generally speaking, a Dvoraki will adopt the values and beliefs of the country in which they live. However, parents will tend to teach their children the traditional Dvoraki religion.

5. Religion
The god Vorak, who was all things at once, painted the world and caused it to be remade every time it died. And he painted all things that walk on many legs, and all things that walk on four legs, and all things that walk on two legs, and all things that walk on no legs but fly or swim or crawl. And of these creatures he raised up his chosen people, and named them Dvoraki, which is “of Vorak”. And he blessed them with the power to take many forms, though he did not give them the power to take any form he had made, for with each repainting so great the canvas of the world would be thinned and damaged. And so the Dvoraki walked freely with the other peoples, and there was peace.

But some saw the splendour of the Dvoraki and were jealous, and once a band of such people crept into the temple of Vorak and stole a hair from His brush, which gave them the power to change their shape like the Dvoraki. The leaders of the traitors took large pieces of it, and thus could take any shape. Others got pieces of different sizes, and could take many shapes, or only one. And these people were the first of the shape-shifters, wearing out and ruining the world that Vorak had made every time they used their ill-gotten power.

(It may be followed from this that the Dvoraki are not great fans of shape-shifters, however hypocritical this may sound.)

6. Icky Stuff
Dvoraki can have children with pretty much any other upright species, owing to their shape-changing abilities. Fertilisation does not often occur, but when it does, the child is fairily certain to be a Dvoraki; if the mother is one, then the child definitely will be.

Oh, yes, and all Dvoraki are bisexual (though not hermaphroditic).

NORTHERN ELVES
1. Characteristics
Thousands of years ago, when mankind was a newborn race, there dwelled a species so isolated that no one knew they even existed. They were the Northern Elves, medium tall creatures with human features. There were only a few things about them that made them different from men: their limited immortality, their ears (which were pointed at the top), the peaceful state they were always in and the fact that their magic worked like a fire (it goes for a while, then burns out until you light it again). Only once in a thousand years would you find a Northern Elf that had any spark of adventuresome spirit. After a very long and tranquil time, the Northern Elf was one of the most common sights in the world. Then, for some unknown reason, their numbers dwindled to under a hundred. They suddenly and unexpectedly went into hiding. This was approximately one thousand years ago, and there have been two cases of Northern Elves being seen since then.

2. Special Abilities
Female Northern Elves have the ability to calm the wild beast. They have powers that enable them to work with all animals and creatures of the earth. Male Northern Elves have the "Power of Tongues", which enables them to speak all languages, and the "Interpretation of Tongues", which allows them to understand all languages. Both genders obtain the power to heal.

3. Lifespan
The Northern Elf will never fall victim to age or disease, but they can be killed. The first thirty years of their life, the Northern Elf grows like a human being. Then, their genes kick in and they slowly age, reaching the age of 100 as the age of 45.

CARPATHIANS
1. Description
They look just like humans, except unusually beautiful and mysterious.

2. Characteristics
As children, Carpathians are able to walk in daylight and even eat human foods. This puts them at risk, though, as their parents must sleep during the day and they have no one protecting them. it makes childhood a dangerous and usually fatal period. They then become fledglings and must drink blood and stay from the light. During this time, they still have emotions and can see in color. But after a few hundred years or so, they loose these precious things. They are cast into a world of black and white, unable to feel emotions strongly if at all. But once they meet their lifemate, these gifts are returned. A lifemate is the only partner a Carpathian will ever have, someone all but made for them. There is a strong bond there that is not easily broken. But as of now very few Carpathians remain. Females of the species are not born very often, and many Carpathian males wonder the earth alone for eternity. Most of these males loose hope and let go of their tatter souls in return for the powers of a vampire. Even then they are usually never happy and search the earth once again for their lifemate, though they will never find them.

3. Special Abilities
Able to dissipate into tiny droplets of water. Able to shape-shift. Able to use telepathic speech from great distances, and even control the weak minded. They are extremely fast, and most males have the power of thunder. Also, their saliva heals.

THE LIGHT ELVES
The first beings of the Earth were created by Eru, the One, or Eru Ilúvatar as the elves later called him. They are beautiful and strong, and immortal. They cannot be victim to any illness, and can only be killed by weaponry or power of the strongest magic. Some elves however, have been known to die of a broken heart. They never forget and with their wisdom comes great sadness. They seldom smile and have fathomless eyes that hold the sadness of the wise. The Calaquendi seem to be surrounded by glowing light – hence their name- light elves. The light is of that like to a glowing moon. They are at one with nature, have super-keen senses and are valorous and wise. The high elves also possess foresight. Elves are immortal and do not physically age. Elves do not grow weak as they age, only wiser and more beautiful • Elves have more beauty than any creatures on earth, but also possess the most extreme happiness and sorrow.

The greatest of the elves, closest to their creators – the Valar, are the Calaquendi – the Light Elves. They are the fairest to look upon and the strongest in magic. They are also known as the Eldar or the High Elves. Whereas many of the other elves were created on earth, they and a few small divisions alone remember the heavens above – sometimes known as the undying lands – from whence they came. They were born into the reformed world by starlight and will one day rise again in a ship that sails the straight road over the sea to the heavens.

Elves usually appear to be carefree and merry, yet sad and thoughtful. They excel in speech, song and poetry, their songs lightening the heart of many in grief. They were the first people on the reborn earth to speak with voices and no earthly creature before the, sang. They have become mostly estranged from men, mistrusting them. Many live in fair woodland dwellings, others in great halls in hidden valleys. Everything about them is fair. They typically have fair complexions and colouring, with a few exceptions like Elven Princess Nimrodel, who was noted for her rare and unusual dark beauty.

As the ages of the world progress, many elves seek to leave the circles of the world, returning to their true home in Valinor, seeking to be with the Valar that are most beloved at last. The High Elves have bestowed within them ever the tug to sail across the seas. With the lesser elves, upon seeing the sea, the desire to return to Elvenhome can seldom be appeased.

SEDORA
A Sedora matures around the ages of 2 and three. They are immortal beings in the sense that they cannot die of old age or disease but they can be killed with steel (in battle) or die of a broken heart, like elves. They are a faerie-like creature with wings, and can transform into anything (that is what separates them from fairies). They are expert healers, and good with magics and spells etc.

They can take the shape of any animal or human being. They're almost always kind-hearted, but some are dark and mischievous, as are pixies, nymphs, and faeries. They are cunning, and persuasive.

A Sedora in it's fairy form is about five inches tall. They can mimic almost anything, even sounds, which you must be wary of while traveling in the forests.

They live just about everywhere, and can adapt fairly easily to any type of terrain and/or situation.

They have been known to fall in love with humanoids or humans, in which they usually grow to Human height, but do not lose their wings nor their powers. They do not have to give up their immortality if they fall in love/marry a human/beast. Usually, their children will live three times the lifespan of a normal human being/beast. Their children inherit any powers their parent(s) possess when born, which usually means they become skilled healers and the like. Some children may be able to shape-shift.

HAITHIANS
The Haithians are a species of human-like psychics. They appear mostly human, although they are generally on the small side. Their main outward difference from humans is the gem that is set in each Haithians forehead. The gem may be any kind of precious or semi-precious stone, and it is the source of their psychic powers. The type of stone a Haithian has does not affect their psychic abilities. A Haithian's hair and eyes are always the same color as their gem.

The Haithians are descended from humans who were exposed to a type of magical crystal. The crystal gave them their psychic powers, as well as causing physical changes within them that allowed their bodies to handle their new powers. Because of their human roots, Haithians tend to think like humans most of the time, although their psychic powers give them insights that humans cannot possess. However, they are far more free in expressing their emotions. It is very easy to hurt a Haithian emotionally.

Most Haithians are peaceful, friendly, and live by a strict rule of non-violence. The reason for this is simple -- with almost no exceptions, any Haithian's strongest power is empathy (the ability to sense other people's emotions). If someone near a Haithian is hurt, physically or emotionally, they feel the pain as if it were their own.

There are, of course exceptions. In every generation, there are always a few Haithians who are affected differently by their powers. Instead of feeling other people's pain, they have the ability to feed off of it. While most Haithians possessing that power still follow the customs and laws of their people, occasionally one will become addicted to the pain and suffering of others. They can do a lot of damage, and are generally shunned and driven out by their own people. Invariably, they turn to darkness and evil to feed their needs.

HIROKO
When humans are born, a fortunate few are selected by the goddess Kimona to become a Hiroko. They are taken from their parents, and given the spirit of an animal in their heart. A symbol of their animal spirit is tattooed on their left upper-arm, and the Symbol of Hiroko is tattooed directly below it. From the second they receive these tattoos, they are considered a Hiroko. Every Hiroko holds the special gifts to transform into their animal, to turn into a shadow at will, to speak with their minds, and to read minds. From the Hiroko, one out of every hundred is selected to receive premonitions every so often. The Hiroko have one trait that can give away their species: their black eyes.

NEMOENS
1. Physical Characteristics
Mostly resembling humans, Nemoens can be hard to determine from long distance. However, if one were close enough, one would notice how abnormally smooth and pale their skin is. So pale in fact, that it almost appears to be blue. This is because the race has a gene that makes them ‘albino’ in a sense.

Another thing is their elongated faces. Their faces are generally 2-5 inches longer than the average humans, giving them longer skulls. Pointed ears grow up and back at an angle, often having 2 or 3 ‘forks’ on the ends. Lengths can reach up to 7 inches.

Build typical to Nemoens is usually tall and musculcar, making them less flexible. Their shoulders, thighs and hands are the most powerful parts of their bodies, making them ideal for wrestling. The ‘weak spot’ would most likely be the middle of their spines or their kidneys.

One last thing is noticeable about the Nemoens. It's their eyes. Instead of having round pupils like a human would, their pupils are diamond shaped. Eye colors range from a pale silver to a deep navy, often having more than one color. Their general shape is usually almond, though some of the older families have slanted eyes. A thick mop of fur-like hair grows wildly from their scalps. It comes in all hues and colors, giving a rather ‘colorful nation’. It is often worn in tight braids and/or topknots.

It is not uncommon to find Nemoens with onyx colored symbol painted over their skin. Depending on their age, BloodClan, Rank and Family, one Nemoen can have a unique set of symbols. This helps to determine identity, much like a fingerprint or stand of DNA. However, not all Nemoens have these marking. The more common-found Nemoens have little to no markings as the paint they use is expensive and hard to come by.

For one who has never seen a Nemoen, they are most likely to be mistaken for elves. While similar in appearance, Nemoens are not related to the fairy-tale folk. If one wished to view them in a matter of relation to other species, Humans are the closest related humanoid beings.

2. Cultural Description
The Nemoen culture is a fairly simple one. The stronger you are, the higher ranked you are. Young Nemoens are often trained by elder Nemoens. They must either succumb to their master's will or overthrow them. Through this, the weaker of the race is eliminated. However, their culture is not without some guidance to keep it from flying apart.

The population is split into four groups called BloodClans. These are:

• X'Tero
• J'Barl
• C'Fuy
• L'Rin

The BloodClans are all led by the strongest male and strongest female of that particular group. To prevent inter society war, a trial of games is held every 5 years. The 4 pairs are pitted against each other to determine which leading pair is the strongest of them all. The winning pair is then called the RuneKing and RuneQueen. They hold power until the next games, when they'll be pitted against the other 3 pairs again.

By cultural law, any Nemoen who breaks long standing tradition is either put into slavery or executed. This includes the RuneKing and RuneQueen. To enforce this law, there is a group of old Nemoens called the Eldors. There are 4. The Eldor of Purity, the Eldor of Tradition, the Eldor of Honor and the Eldor of Strength. Each is from the four different BloodClans, often taking apprentices from their own specific family or the proceeding branches. They are held in high regard, almost ‘above the law’, if you will.

3. Special Abilities
There is no uniquely special abilities with Nemoens. They can perform basic magic, even cast curses. However, very few ever do bother with magic, as they prefer to use brute force.

4. Life Expectancy
50 - 70 years

5. Homeland
A place they call ‘K’Dara’.

6. Religion
X’Narepoen

KAYATERA
1. Characteristics
One is not born a Kayatera. The Kayatera are chosen seemingly at random, from any walk of life, be it noble or beggar, thief or do-gooder, male or female. A Kayatera can only come into being after having come into contact and chosen by a Niotsue.

Niotsue are distinguished Kayatera that have been granted the gift of immortality. Their main goal is to roam the lands and find those suited to be Kayatera. Once they do, there is no explanation, no introductions, the Niotsue simply marks their chosen and leave as quietly as they came.

Once chosen to be a Kayatera, a tattoo of an animal appears on their body and expands with each passing day. This is a very painful process, and often times the new Kayatera have no idea what is happening to them. Once the tattoo has completely expanded, it begins to remove itself from the skin and literally morphs into the creature. When this process is finished, this person will have what can be referred to as a familiar. Whichever creature was represented in their tattoo become their lifelong companion and guardian. Afterwards, their skin is as unmarred and clear as it was before the process.

2. Homeland
No discernible pattern in the homeland of those chosen.

3. Special Abilities and Distinguishing Features
A Kayatera will occasionally experience random visions. These are often blurry and indiscernible save for a few important details. After receiving a vision, the Kayatera is compelled to follow it through, figure out what it was about and eventually fulfill their purpose within the event (although their purpose often remains unknown to them for quite some time). If they resist, it will eat away at them slowly, they will feel like they are perpetually “missing” something, similar to a person who has had a leg amputated but can still feel its presence. Some are said to have gone crazy from resisting the compulsions, others are rumored to have been released from the Kayatera, their companion guardians just disappearing one day, along with their visions.

The Kayatera have a special link with their guardian. As they learn and grow in character, their guardian grows as well. Their powers depend on the kind of creature it is. For instance, if one were to have a power guardian of a beaver (just for instance!!) – they’d have the ability to cut down trees, or build wooden dwellings, or swim very well. Because these creatures are mythical in nature, their natural abilities would be slightly expanded: the trees cut could be very large, or the dwellings built could be very intricate, or they would be able to pull very large amounts of weight through a stream, etc….

4. Lifespan
The Kayatera retain their primary race’s typical lifespan, unless they are chosen to become immortal (a very rare occurrence). They can be killed by normal means – a shot clean to the heart, a raging disease or poison will kill them just as easily as it will kill the next person.

5. Cultural Description
The Kayatera are elusive and so few that for them to meet is a rare occurrence. When they do, there is the general knowledge that neither may bring any mortal harm to the other. Generally, any ill will they may have towards each other is stumped by the overwhelming curiosity at finding another of their kind. Also, as they are unable to have children with any other race, there may be the need to procreate, though whether a Kayatera can beget children is still disputed.

6. Religion
Unknown. Not even a Niotsue knows of their origins, only that they are compelled to find potential Kayatera’s. The Kayatera receive visions from those with more power, that much is sure, but whether they are gods or powerful mortals; or good or evil is unknown.

SOLISONA
1. Appearance
This is just another ethnicity of humans, like African Americans and such. However, certain things set them off differently. Any child born with a parent, grandparent, or great grandparent that are true Solisonas will follow the basic appearance rules. All have much more darkly tanned skin that is heat and cold resistant to a certain extent. Males will only have the coloring of eyes that are brown, though other colors may mix in such as hazel or green; females will have a purple blue mixture, and there is no set you will get more blue, or more amethyst color. Men’s hair will be a blonde color, predominately, and woman a black color, only. The woman will grow their hair out long, and tend not to cute it, though if you wish to, you are allowed with only slight scorn looked upon you. Males are required to keep it no longer then shoulder length, though when not with the tribe it is not a necessity.

2. Homeland
Moraki Desert

3. Religious History
When the world was new, everything was created from what it was to be today, and the Creator, which was the desert, put the Warrior Sun in charge, to protect the people. Well, he battled his way across the sky everyday, keeping the demons at bay, but like all warriors, he had to sleep. So he disappeared into his palace in the west every night, taking away all light, all heat, and leaving the sky open to the evils who tortured the creatures of the desert. This happened every night, and finally, everything from the People to the Plants and the Animals went to the Sun to complain one day.

He, irritated about the problem in the realm the Creator had given him to watch, began to try and solve it. First, he collected all the spirits of the dead and placed them in the sky to hopefully light it up enough that they could not walk among it. But the sky was so huge that not even all the dead in the world could fill it. So then, he asked a few of the fleeter souls to come and fetch him when the demons were there, and put them in motion. However, they were to slow, or caught before they reached him, and by the time he roused himself the demons would be in hiding again.

But there was a young girl, named Luna, who thought she knew what to do. So she left her village and traveled to the Sun’s palace, and knocked on the door so loudly, that he rose and growling that he slept little enough as it was, to it for her. She was a dark skinned girl, with pale silver orbs that looked at him without fear and told him that she could fix his problems, if he would only give her three things; Pale skin, a pure silver everlasting bowl, and melted silver from the Warrior’s own breastplate. He scorned her, and sent the girl away.

But soon enough, he had no other way to turn to, and summoned her back one night. Her foolish youth made her cocky, and she demanded a fourth thing in exchange for it; the ability to transform. She angered the Warrior, but he promised, knowing he would get back at the ignorant girl.

The next night, a pale girl stepped up through the sky, tracing the Lord Sun’s pattern, holding the bowl filled with liquid silver. The nomads came out to see this, and they admired the differences between Luna and Sun. Sun was bright and bold, while Luna’s steps were slower, gentler, and quieter. As she walked, she let the silver fall from the everlasting bowl, and the demons fell back in howls, for while the Sun drove them away, the silver, pure and good, burned their very essence. She came to the Palace just as Sun woke, and he, pleased with her work, asked her to do the same every night.

Luna however, demanded her payment first, and the Warrior in anger, granted her the wish. The bowl that she held in her hands so gently, became a part of her, some saying that she turned into the bowl completely, other’s saying that her outstretched arms became the bowl. And because he said she would transform, made the bowl grow and die alternatively, so that when it was darkest she would be beset upon by the demons forevermore to remind her of her greed.

She, in anger, attacked him, but the Warrior held her off until she saw her own folly, and called a truce with him. For, the truth was, she loved the attention, the quiet watching, and wanted to keep the job. Because of this, he made her immortal, and made her a palace of pure silver in the east. And then, because her screams were so terrible when the demons attacked, did her one last favor. He created the Guardians of the Desert, and placed only those that deserved to be in the sky there, including all Guardians.

4. Lifespan
They are not immortal, but live to be slightly older then most people. An average human age’s every year. Well, these people, it’s every 3 years equals one year. So, you are born, and then three years later they celebrate their first birthday, because they mature slower then normal humans. So, when a regular human is 50, a Solisona is actually 147, but they only look 50.

5. History
The people of the Solisona were nomads until they found a giant cliff face southwest of Essyrn that seemed to rise out of nowhere. The legend said that the people were instructed by the Creator to follow the Warrior Sun until they reached a distinguishing landmark in the desert. The Sun led them to the cliff, according to the legend, and they built the village of Argentliam here. The cliff had been hollowed out over the years by wind and natural erosion process, creating caves that led all over. They built a village in front and in the caves, and found that an underground river passed through the cliff, giving the people an endless water supply.

Only two major wars have ever happened, the first in the beginning when they were first settling, a civil war between the tribe over who would rule and where everyone would live. This killed over 600 of the 4000 Solisona people, before it was decided that the Guardian Elders, who lived slightly longer then most people, would watch over, while everyone made the larger decisions.

The second has happened much more recently, called the Bandit War by the people. Various, nomadic people that the Solisona’s called bandit’s because they thieved off of Argentliam, stealing woman and livestock, began to institute bloodshed, demanding that Argentliam be put under their control. Many warriors died, and the effects are still being felt as of now, though all of the bandits were killed or driven into hiding and away.

6. Cultural Description
There is one city for these people, named Argentliam, after Luna, but within walking distance is three or four others, smaller villages. A group of Elders are the said Ruler’s of these people, but it is a much more relaxed system. You can only be an Elder if you have reached 350 years of age, around 118 years in human span, or are a Guardian of the Desert and over 207 years. Families tend to live in small houses made of baked mud from the river or in the caves that they enlarged, living with the grandmother or grandfather, depending on weather the married couple’s siblings have taken care of the other already, and the children. Teaching children is a group effort, and they start getting educated around 15, 6 years in human, both males and females.

7. Powers
At the age of forty or so, fourteen in human years, each child is sent out into the desert to gain an animal companion. They are granted a water skin of water and a pouch of dried meat, and then they go. They receive an animal within a month, or they are dead. If you receive a big cat, the Lion, Cheetah, or Leopard, you are a Guardian. Some receive snakes, other’s gazelle, any animal you could find in a desert.

For normal people, you can be a healer, a weather witch, a stitch witch, just about anything. However, you are born with those powers. When you receive Guardian status, you keep whatever magic you are born with, if any, and receive the powers of the Desert also. You can control sand, wind, and earth.

8. Guardians
All Guardians take an oath to protect the Goddess and the Desert, including the people, the travelers, and respect the Creator. When they are chosen, the two or three are taken and taught the lore, the stories, the history, and the techniques by the older Guardians, and then are allowed to roam free, asked to at least walk among other people for a time, and do the duties that are asked of a Guardian.

9. Travel
The Guardian Hitasu, one of the first, walked among people and saw the boat, and when he came back to the desert created boats that could surf on sand. Guardians and non-guardians can both use them, though they only are for 2 to 3 people.

10. Note
The three most recent Guardians are Kei, Kagmoa, and Nelei. Kei is played by Mona, Nelei by Cat and Kagmoa by Nae. It is possible to create older Guardians, but they are generally choose two every 30 years or so, so they wouldn’t be a whole lot.

TERRIN CENTAURS

There are many different breeds and tribes of Centaurs scattered throughout Le'raana. Depending on the are they are from, the tribes can very is size, shape and coloring. The ones detailed here are from the foothills in the Terrin Mountains. Most Centaurs are female, only about 20% of the population is male.

1. Appearance
Centaurs appear to be human from the waist up, horse from the waist down. The human half ranges in skin tone and coloration. Most tend to have dark skin and pale hair. Because they tend to not use their upper bodies as much, Centaurs tend to have a thinner, leaner muscle tone to their arms and torso.

Their ears are often delicately pointed, but not always. Eye color tends to be a wide range of browns and the occasional blue. As long hair gets in the way, most keep their hair short with a few tightly braided longer strands that have feathers or beads decorating them.

The horse half is large and well muscled. They take after Clydesdales, sure footed and strong. Thick legs and wide hooves help them keep their footing up in the foothills. Their coloring includes bay roan, chestnut and black. Centaurs have long hair on their lower legs, falling over their hooves.

Centaurs have little interest in hygiene, so most tend to have greasy hair and dreadlocks are not uncommon. Clothing is fairly optional. Most wear leather harnesses to keep things in. Tattoos are prevalent, telling the story of that Centaurs accomplishments.

2. History
The Centaurs originally started as one tribe. They had been a magical experiment that went wild. And they flourished in the Draconi Forest. As the tribe grew, and people started coming deeper in the Forest, the Centaurs began to split apart into smaller groups. The largest group headed into the Terrin Mountains. Over the years they have developed into a hardier, surer footed breed then their plain and forest dwelling cousins.

3. Religion
The Centaurs believe in the Three Fates, The Maiden, The Mother and The Crone. They believe that everyone has a destiny, that the Fates control all. They don't tend to have services, but have a number of festivals that honor the Fates.

For more day to day worship, most Centaurs also pay homage to smaller spirits and godlings of nature and the hunt and home and things along those lines.

4. Lifespan
Centaurs have shorter life spans then humans, the eldest tending to live 50-60 years. They mature faster, being mostly grown by the time they are 5. They are considered adults by age 7. At around 40, they start to show the signs of age and tend to retire from the hunt. Some Centaurs have been known to live as long as 70, but that is quite rare.

5. Lifestyle
Because females outnumber males by quite a bit, it's no surprise that Centaurs are matriarchal. Men are expected to stay home and guard the camp, leaving woman to hunt and fight and take care of things.

They are ruled by a Queen. Queens pass the crown on to a successor, though it must be kept through force. Any warrior can challenge the Queen for the crown. When a Queen retires, there is normally quite a number of challenges for the crown.

They are highly territorially and dislike having to much contact with other races. They don't often fight, but respond quickly and violently to any threats to their land. And they are constantly warring amongst the tribes over land and males.

Female Centaurs start going on hunts at around 3, though they are there to gather the fallen animals and help skin and prepare them. They start to receive basic hunting and fighting training and at 5 are allowed to help hunt.

Males are trained to fight as well, though they are never taken on hunts and hardly leave the villages. They are well provided for by the females of the tribe. They tend to provide defense for the villages and take care of many of the domestic tasks. Centaur names are quite long. It's the tradition to have a new first name, and then be named after their mother, grand-mother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. Even the males tend to take their last 4 names after female relatives.

6. Mating
Due to the small number of males, Centaurs don't really have traditional marriages. Once a year, there is a large festival with much drinking and merrymaking. And the males try and impregnate as many females as they can.

The rest of the year, some of the men settle down with woman. Quite a number of Centaur females prefer the company of other females and marriages mostly happen between two females. Any children born to the pair is considered the child of both females.

They take there vows seriously and cheating on your partner, either male or female, is considered disgusting and adulators are often given facial tattoos to show their shame. Marriage vows are normally for life, though divorce not entirely unheard of.

TUOR MERFOLK
1. Appearance
The Tuor merfolk aren't much different in appearance than what we'd usually imagine merfolk to be. Their top half, of course, is much like that of a human male or female. However, rather than having a tail of a fish, their tails are smooth like a dolphin rather than scaly, and often brightly colored like tropical fish. Hair, eye and skin color vary, though most of them have skin on the pale side.

2. Special Abilities and Distinguishing Features
Though they are not aware of it, they are able to enchant humans of the opposite gender (and sometimes the same gender) by singing. They can also communicate with animals.

3. Lifespan
Generally they live 275-300 years, given they die of old age. They can be killed like any human.

4. Views On Magic
Like Connlaoth, these merfolk are anti-magic. Most believe that magic is evil, but this was not the intention of the king who passed the law against it. After on witch attempted to take the throne, he decided the power witchcraft gave would most certainly cause corruption, and he wanted to protect his people from this fate. Those who chose to practice anyway would be banished and forced to live in the Forbidden City. Some were more than happy to have their own magical haven, but others were angry about this law.

Their views on magic are odd because they all have a magical ability to enchant humans with song. This is unknown to them, though, because they've never had contact with humans due to the legends about monsters on the surface. Even if they were aware, they would most likely count this as a natural ability rather than witchcraft.

5. Love and Mating
The merfolk of Tuor mate for life. As far as choosing a mate, there are different practices. In the case of royalty, their mates are chosen for them by the King and/or Queen. This usually goes for the nobles as well, though theirs are chosen by their parents. Commoners are the only ones who really allow for love. There are those nobles, though, that fall in love and run (or swim, really) away, giving up their wealth to be with their chosen mate.

As for homosexuality, the upper crust doesn't know it exists, unless for some reason they've spent a good deal of time with commoners. Even among commoners, it is frowned upon, seen as strange and perverse, except in the Forbidden City, where basic laws still apply (no stealing, no killing, etc), but most things are more relaxed. Commoners often sneak away to the Forbidden City for this reason, and a few stay. Nobles who have homosexual urges often feel out of place, but most never tell anyone about their feelings. The ones who do often disappear, being quietly sent away to the Forbidden City to avoid the public shame it would cause the family. When asked about their missing family member, they simply say they decided to move to another city in the kingdom.

6. Diet
Most of them are vegetarians, though some nobles do eat meat. The reason for this is their power to understand and communicate with them, some of them even forming friendships with the animals, so they are reluctant to eat them.

7. Religion
There is no set religion, but most believe in a Goddess called Aryé (AH-ree-eh). She is called the mother of the ocean, giving birth to all life in the sea. Some have created rituals and other ways to honor her, but many have a simple belief that she exists.

HELLEON
1. Description
In a separate dimension, known as H.E.L.L., lived four kings who ruled with absolute power in their each kingdom but were right and just. The first and most powerful king, Dmitrius Kriis, held the base element of earth in which all helleons born under this element would bear tanned yellow skin and have the ability to control the earth, capable of both life and destruction. The second king, Angelus, who was jealous of the first king because of his role of leadership, held the power of flame, the second most powerful but most destructive of all four elements. All those born under this element bear reddish skin. The third king, Vortexius, was ruler over the destructive power of wind and every helleon coming into this power would have greenish skin. And the final ruler, a queen but still bearing the rank of a king, Ulyssus Aquatica ruled over the life giving powers of water.

Under each ruler, helleons were all treated equally and disciplined with the utmost respect. This tradition of equality was even utilized in domestic homes in which there was no gender bias but a process of equal input and equal exchange from both spouses. They carried out conduct like that of humans; even complete with the same emotions and body structures and growing to maturity. However they differed in that all helleons were given the ability of natural flight from the large, feathered wings and that time was not their enemy, nor was disease. Nonetheless they could die from physical wounds and broken hearts, or from neglect to their bodies.

But despite the rule of these kings, there was a higher ruler, their creator, a divine dragon named Gathor. This religion, known as Giannok (Gi-an-ok) has its separate rituals and holidays as any othe religion. The kingdoms, though living in harmony, remain separate from each other making travel between them impossible. But they are also known as dream eaters where they consume the dreams of humans and use the energy for their own means. This ability also allows them to enter and act in a human's dream as if in reality.

2. Extra stuff
Originally Gathor had meant for Helleons to remain in seclusion from the Earth but was at a loss with giving them the power of free will. When a discovery of a portal unlocked other worlds the helleons in their kingdom military began to move to Earth and various dimensions, though many still remain in their own realm.

ULRIC
1. Characteristics
Ulricians look overly human, aside from their wolf ears and tail. Which come in different colors. They are generally a peace loving people, who have goals, dreams and ambitions just like any other race would. The personality of a Ulrician largely varies from one to the other and is often shaped and formed from the way they are raised and the experiences that they go through in life. By nature however, Ulricians tend to be very curious with any thing that they aren't accustomed to. They can also be extremely playful at times, younger Ulricians tend to show a great love of performing pranks, though the pranks they usually perform are quite childish and rarely result in any one getting hurt. Ulricians are extremely protective of loved ones and their personal belongings, at times often going to great lengths to ensure that they are protected.

2. Homeland
Ulricians tend to live in villages rather than having a large town or city like structure. Their villages are often found deep within forested areas.

3. Special Abilities and Distinguishing Features
The only things that cause Ulricians to stand out from humans, are their wolf ears and tail. Their eyes are usually often more wolf like as well, and come in a large range of colors. Ulricians are very protective of their ears and tail...rarely allowing anyone to touch them..unless said person has proven to him/her that they can be trusted. This having been said..Ulricians expect that any one they allow to touch their ears or tail view this act as an extremely high honor and sign of friendship and loyalty. The fur that makes up their ears and tail is said to be allot softer than the fur of an actual wolf.

Ulricians are naturally stronger and faster than humans, their five senses are also more advanced.

4. Lifespan
Ulricians age in a style like that of a human, however they often tend to out live even the most healthy of humans. They are not immortal...and can be killed as easily as a human, they also tend to die of old age..though given the fact that they can out live humans...it may take an elderly Ulrician a few extra years to die peacefully when compared to an elderly human.

5. Cultural Description
Ulricians have family relationships in the same way as humans do. They do not believe in the need to chose their children's mates, they feel that it is best for one to find their own love, whether it be with another Ulrician or a member of another race. They also do not feel it all that important to chose what kind of life their children should leave, feeling that no one can choose another's destiny.

6. Religion
Ulricians believe that there is some higher power watching over the world...they do not tend to give this higher power any one physical form..believing that if such a being has the power to create whole worlds, then the same being could there for chose to be what ever it wishes. They do view forests, jungles, and other types of areas as being holy since when the world was first created these places were there...long before any one race set forth and began to make towns and cities. And therefore they tend to hold annual celebrations in honor of this belief. Ulricians are never quick to dismiss another race's religious beliefs as being wrong or stupid...as they are always open to listening, though they tend to hold tight to their own beliefs.

DIN
1. Characteristics
An exceptionally tall race, the men average at about 6'8", but getting over seven feet tall is not uncommon. Women shorter than 6' is rare, and are considered exceptionally short. They have feathered wings, like angelic wings, but different, for the feathers are always the same colour as the hair. Wings are about as similar to angelical beings as they get, though. They usually have strong features, though the men tend to be quite handsome, and women quite pretty, they really aren't worth it. Most are extremely self-centered, and well, in their culture, it's okay to be a whore.

2. Homeland
Carriean, a distant land high in the Riodijan Mountains on the continent of Cardahlin.

3. Special Abilities and Distinguishing Features
Each Din has specific magical abilites pertaining to a specific element. Each Din as control over only one element, and their elements include: air, water, ice, earth, lightening/electricity, metal, blood, light, and shadow. Their personalities tend to reflect their element, but not always, and it may not go very far. Also, the element that the Din controls tends to run in their family.

4. Lifespan
Din are much like elves in, they don't die of old age, in fact, they stop aging. They die if they are killed, whether by an injury, or sickness.

5. Cultural Description
The Din culture is very male based, and very sex based. There is no denying that they enjoy sex, and it is common to be a whore, and actually excepted, and widely expected. If a male settles down with one woman or man it is shocking and occasionally looked down upon. Gender doesn't mean much in the matters of relationships, just on personal preference. Even incest is excepted in the general population. An interesting fact of the Din, that probably makes them the most unique is the fact that no matter how many siblings they have, half or full, a male child can only have one brother, period. Now, these two boys are linked for life, and if one dies, so does the other. So, generally, they keep each other alive, and despite the fact that they are a very greedy and power-hungry race, they have to love their brothers. Sisters, on the other hand, have no such bond, and there can be as many as the parents end up having.

6. Religion
The Din worship and get their power from the sun. Therefore if they ever cross with a race such as vampires, they can still go out in the sunlight. In their religion, they don't really believe in a sun god, they know what the sun is, but they worship it for that. The sun is not just a ball of gas in the sky, but it is sentient in their minds, and it is the being that gives them life. There are no temples or churches for this religion, simple marble altars scattered across mountain tops. Sacrifices of blood, and sometimes even unwanted children are cast upon these alters, but always at midday. The most powerful day for such a sacrifice would be the summer solstice, the longest day of the year.

DET'ELE
1. Characteristics
Quick tempered, devoted to their mates, and fiercely protective of their offspring.

<2. Homeland
First discovered under ground, co-existing with dragons.

3. Special Abilities and Distinguishing Features
A branch of demons that were spawned from drows and dragons. Their appearances vary depending on the regal properties of their blood. Very prestigious families will usually don scales on their forearms in either silver or gold. Their skin is dark like a drow, and their hair is the same silver. Their eyes have taken up a dragon appearance, but are otherwise red. There are two different types of Det'ele (otherwise known as the Cavern Drow) that have been reported. The 'submissive' Det'ele have smaller fangs than the dominant, however their poison is more extreme. Their guns are set for 'kill' rather than 'stun,' so to speak. They do have wings, though they are usually of a lighter color (gray, pink, powder blue, ect.) and the leopard spots on their back are restricted to the area of their spine, going down in a neat line until they reach the tailbone. The dominant have large, dark wings and usually have more scales than their submissive counterparts. Their fangs are larger, but the venom is less potent, having more of a pain effect on the victim than anything else. The spots on their back cover the majority of their shoulder area, then taper down to the tailbone. Occasionally, a Det'ele will have a demon's spaded tail. Det'ele have only one mate throughout their lifetime, and submissive males can reproduce.

4. Lifespan
The oldest known Det'ele in history had lived for over two thousand years. It is believed that age is unknown to them, but they can still die from physical means as well as illness.

5. Cultural Description
As a culture, Det'ele have a monarchy as the best description. The royal families rule over divisions, where the less prestigious families reside. In the household, the submissive is the head of household, while the dominant is in charge of protection and food. They live in anything from adobes wittled into the walls of their underground cities to giant mansions made of platinum.

6. Religion
Their religion is known as 'Rattet' (Rah-Tay)

Core beliefs:

Their god, Mes'mahet, was a dragon of unusual size. Mes'mahet had a wife, a drow woman named Lillith. Upon discovering her husband, the drows exiled Lillith from their kingdom. As such, Mes'mahet ventured below ground, melting the rock itself into caverns for Lillith to claim as her own. Their spawn were four in all, known as the Four Cornerstones. Their names were Reft, Larkita, Zeshoul, and Reef. Together they created the Det'ele race via magics.

Customs:

The oldest descendant of each of the four are known as Palpals. They rule over the four great kingdoms of Au, Mu, Tu, and Su. Every one hundred years, a festival is held to honor the Palpals and the Cornerstones. During this time, a royal bleeds into a cup and the blood is poured into the stream that feeds all four kingdoms to show the lack of greed.

Church System:

There is a high church in the home kingdom of Ru, led by the Palpal of Larkita. There are smaller churches in the other kingdoms, one for dominant and one for submissive as per the code.

Ways of Worship:

Prayer is not a very popular concept in Rattet, though sacrifice and offerings are. Sacrifices are nto of life but of blood. The one who performs the sacrifice must bathe themselves in the ash of dragon bone and drink firewine (a traditional drink) every night before bed a week before the sacrifice. Offerings are not of golds or money, but of food and silk and water.

Standards of Conduct:

Do not lay hand on woman or submissive
Honor thy submissive mother for she is powerful
Raise not thy voice at thy child, for they are thine future
Raise no weapon that can not be made by nature's wrath
Drink no alcohol before the air grows stagnent (This would happen when the sun went down, though due to the underground living, the Det'ele could not see the sun.)
Thy eldest son shall bury thine parents shall the time come.
Thy youngest daughter shall be bathed in affection
Do not strike thy neighbor with intent to kill
If one takes a royal's arm when they are merely a peasant, then thy shall loose both of thine arms.
If a peasant strikes a Palpal, then thy shall be executed when thine Palpal agrees.

EXTRAHO LIBERI
2. Characteristics
The Extraho Liberi appear as humans from the head down to the waist, save for the large white elk-like horns on their heads. From the waist down they are built like centaurs, expect instead of having four hoarse limbs they have four dragon limbs. They come in a variety of colors including green, brown, black, white, and other natural colors. Their scales are soft and snake-like; very delicate. However it is protected with hard glass-like scales that cover all their dragon skin. These scales are larger and fit together in the shapes of rain drops. They are highly resistant to any sort of damage, weapons or magic. Not only that, they are quite beautiful, often clear with milky shots of whatever color the Extraho Liberi happens to be. Females have longer bigger plates on their front flanks, to prevent damage while being mounted for mating. Hence, they were hunted more for their scales. They also have very long and powerful tails, almost similar to that of a crocodile. They have reptile-like eyes, and are cold blooded. Their human half usually has at least one dragon-like characteristic; scales somewhere, long claws on the hands, or something like that, but it's different for every Extraho Liberi. They also have sharp dragon-like teeth, and long forked tongues. Some of them are even born venomous.

2. Homeland
The Extraho Liberi lived on one island only, near the Yoreiq Isles. The island was called Aura, and is a tropical island broken up my placid, wide rivers. The storms there are fierce, hence the Extraho Liberi build their homes and temples of dark black stone. The island is covered in lush green tropical forests, and home to many species of animals plants and insects. It's never cold there, which is a great feature for the cold blooded Extraho Liberi. It is a very flat island, the ground soft and fertile. It is usually sunny and humid, although at least once every two weeks there are huge rain storms.

3. Special Abilities and Distinguishing Features
The Extraho Liberi have the power to commune with nature. They could not for example create a growth of trees out of nothing, but they can accelerate the growth of existing plants, as well as speak to them, animals, or insects. They also have special telepathic ability, but it can only be linked to one other being. This is explained more under the "culture" section. They are also extremely strong, and fast. Because of their size they can not be stealthy, and unlike other dragons or dragon like creatures, they can not fly. They can however, use their claws to climb large trees, provided the trees can hold their weight. Because of their knowledge of nature, they are also renowned for creating amazing natural medicines.

4. Lifespan
The oldest Extraho Liberi would live to somewhere near 600 years, but their have been ancients who have lived to be 1000

5. Cultural Description
The Extraho Liberi are a very protective race. Parents never expect their children to leave them, even when they become adult. They are very peaceful, and focus on living in harmony with nature. Every Extraho Liberi is expected to find someone they vow to protect, and this chosen one can be any species or gender. Once they have chosen the one they wish to protect, they can link up their mind with said person, allowing them to communicate over any distance through thought. The Extraho Liberi very much considers themselves protectors on every level. They protect each other, the environment they live in, and the other creatures that exist beside them.

6. Religion
The Extraho Liberi respect nature in general, despite not worshiping a specific god. They have temples built in which to pray to various spirits, even if said spirits do not have specific personas. They would for example, pray to a rain spirit for rain, or a harvest spirit for food, even if they have no clear picture whom these spirits are. They pray by burning incense, lighting candles, and singing. They also greatly respect dragons, considering them their "parents".

This species is considered to be extinct, because 20 years ago, a band of hunters stormed Aura, under the guise of killing a band of Extraho Liberi who had apparently attacked a near by village. They killed every single Extraho Liberi they could find, skinning them and leaving them to rot. Only one survived in secret.
