The day had been fairly routine so far. Up a few hours before dawn to be down and patrolling the yards by sunup. She liked to watch the progress of the trainees. The instructors would tell her that the recruits worked the hardest when she watched them. Heh. Go figure. She taught a class every morning to field officers about battle tactics and how to better control troops during the chaos of battle. It was mostly a theory course.

Her real work started mid-morning, when she hiked from the Academy to the Castle where her office was. There, she sifted through various intelligence, supply, and progress reports and decided what should be passed on to who or if she was the report's final stop. It was important work. Mind numbing, but important. Amis ate through time pouring over reports until her body reminded her that it too would like something to eat.

Pushing herself away from her desk, Amis took a few moments to lay back and rub her eyes. When the spots from rubbing her eyes disappeared, Amis ask the servant sitting near the door if he would mind sending up food for her. He complied, of course, but it never hurt to be sour with the servants.

After he was gone, the Commander went back to her papers. Hopefully it wouldn't be long before somebody came up with her food; she was starving.
