Caspian was as nervous as a horse that had never been ridden. He wanted to make sure Lena knew absolutely everythingthere was to know about his sisters, since she had agreed to help him out, but he would be late for duty if he told her himself. To save time, he found some parchment and scribbled a few notes:

*Mairwen is allergic to strawberries
* Priscilla is allergic to bees
*Don't let them play games before doing their lessons

and other things she might want to know, such as his approximate position (which at this moment was directly in front of the castle gate) in case there was an emergency. He then left this note for his sisters to deliver, since he knew they already knew where Lena's room was.

Both girls giggled and blushed by turns as they read the things he'd written. He knew them so well!

"Good morning, Lena," said both girls cheerily when she had let them in. "Caspian said if you're going to be watching us for awhile, you might want to know this."

Lena had heard the knock at her door shortly after waking and she knew she was probably a mess...maybe they wouldn't care, she'd seen worse days. Getting up, she yawned and stretched a bit on her way to the door. Opening it, she was met with two cheery faces and she could not help but offer her own smile. "Good morning, girls, come on in," she said, stepping aside to allow them passage into her room. After closing the door, she led them to the small living space where there was enough sitting space to accommodate them all. "Ah...thank you!" she said, taking the piece of parchment on her way to sit in a chair. Leaning back, she read Caspian's hand-written notes about the girls. Nodding, she gave a smile and looked up at Priscilla and Mairwen. "So what have you two been doing for your lessons?" she asked, wanting to get things out of the way so that she could allow them looser rein in the afternoon.

To herself, she wondered if she would have time to get ready herself this morning, seeing as she had two younger girls to watch over. Shrugging it off, she figured she would have time eventually and there wasn't any rush since they would be staying with her for a while anyway. "Oh and...is there anything your brother forgot to mention that I should know about you?" she asked, a gentle smile on her lips as she patiently awaited their responses.

"Mostly, we do sewing or knitting, since there isn't really a tutor to be found right now," said Priscilla. Even she would have admitted that she didn't find those activities particularly stimulating. Both girls preferred horseback riding or even reading, but Caspian insisted that sewing or knitting were skills their mother would have wanted them to learn.  "We don't really like it," said Mairwen. "But Caspian said Mama would be unhappy if she knew we weren't learning that." Even at ten years old, there was a look in Mairwen's eyes that said she didn't want to make her mother unhappy. Even iif her mother was dead.

"Other things? Um, I don't think so. You'd have to ask Caspian himself if he forgot anything, and he left about ten minutes ago," said Priscilla. "In any case, could we do our sewing outside today? It seems a shame to waste such pretty weather."
