Meliadoul shifted the pipe in her mouth, pulling over her green hood with a grumble. As she looked around, she looked at the wounded, and the bloody hand streaks apon the wall, the blades dried and infested with death. She shook her head, grabbing her steel longsword and standing up. She was going to fight with another today, she wasn't told much, only that he would be entering on the other side of the arena, today's fight held a large flying surprise, Thankfully it was wingless, although still dangerous none the less, yet of course it was a drake. Meliadoul liked dragons, she respected them, and disliked having to fight one. She went with the assumption that this one was feral, and beyond help. She grabbed a wetsone, sharpening her blade for the battle. A man in a robe came up to her, tapping her on the shoulder and pointing towards the lift crate that lifted her into the arena, She nodded, moving towards the crate and stepping inside, After the door was closed. The Lift started to get going, lifting the crate with her inside,

Meliadoul prayed to her god, as she was raised she could hear the announcer shout,

"Ladies and gentlemen! I bring you the fight of the century, ! A Green clad knight! And a mightly Minotaur! Will be fighting a wingless drake! Do not worry, he have used magical barriers to protect all of our lovely viewers , although we can be sure that these fighters wont be so safe...Let the battle! BEGIN!"

The gates swung open ,and she walked into the light....

The Minotaur

Devaux Heilvander - Tauren Warrior

Devaux strapped on the last bits of his heavy armor, his golden-steel gauntlets. He made short snuffling noises as glanced around at his current location. He was quite far from home, in the Colosseum of Essyrn. He himself wasn't quite sure how he'd ended up here, but right now, it mattered very little to him. The only thing that was on his young Tauren mind was the upcoming battle. He'd been given little details. He was to fight a drake, though wingless, which cut its life-threatening level in half. Dragons were powerful, but their flight capabilities proved the biggest problems. Especially to close-quarters fighters like himself.

He briefly wondered if he should start learning to shoot a bow (as ranged magic was out of the question) before a robed male human (at least he thought it was a male human) who patted his shoulder. Devaux noticed the shaking of the humanoid's hand as it went to his shoulder, before following the pointing finger towards the lift. He grunted, leaning over and grabbing the very large shield at his side. He pushed his arm through the two straps; one strap clung to his muscular, gauntlet clad forearm, while his three fingers gripped the other strap.

He stood up, towering over the human, before walking to the lift with long, determined strides, moving easily despite the weight his armor posed to him. He stepped inside, and the door closed swiftly behind him. He watched the skies as the lift started, carrying him up.

His eyes took a moment to get adjusted to the light while he heard the announcer get going, while the crowd roared all around him as he exited the gates. He could see, across the arena, the one he was to be fighting the drake with. He couldn't quite tell if it was a he or a she, only the green of its cloak. The announcer had said Knight, and from what he'd heard about humans and Knights, they were usually male.

Shrugging mentally, he reached behind him and drew the greatsword with a ring of steel on steel. The sword glinted in the light, and he placed the flat of the blade on the dip of his shield as he lowered it in front of himself and took up stance. He caught sight of the drake, which was quite large.

Well, Devaux thought, I'm also big. To this new partner of mine. He slowly circled the beast, moving towards the Green Clad Knight though keeping a wary eye on the drake should it tempt anything. In usual cases, he'd bang his sword against his shield, roar, then rush. But with an unknown companion and a very large adversary, it wasn't the best option he - they - had.

Meliadoul quickly took stance, circling around towards the Tauren, her hood covering most of her facial expressions, and it was hard to tell what gender she truely was, After arriving close to the Tauren, she lowered her blade, grabbing her ivory necklace, praying for a second before standing up fully,  charging head on towards the beast, the crowd roared as she charged.  The Drake spewed an blazing fireball at her from its toothy jaw, cocking back its head and spitting it out . Meliadoul dived to the right, with intense speed despite her armor. And charged around to where its wing was cut off, the drake quickly followed her, shooting his head towards her with almost dizzying speed.  She quickly took her blade and thrust it upwards into the Drake's jaw, causing it to scream in pain, it loaded another fire ball, Meliadoul yanked her blade from the jaw, and quickly leaped around to the right... Right into his claw, The Dragon was wounded, and stumbled around from the mightly stab to under  the upper half of hits jaw, maybe having hit that would've caused major amounts of pain, as the fireball had entered the wound aswell, although his claw managed to trap her on the ground.

Devaux Heilvander - Tauren Warrior

As he stood next to the Knight, he noted its physique. Small (well, small to him) and wielding only a sword. He guessed they were geared towards speed. He watched as the Knight brought the necklace up and prayed. The close proximity allowed the Tauren to hear her voice, low as it was. A female knight, then. It mattered little to him, but at least now he knew a bit more about who he was fighting with. He opened his mouth to start up a bit of tactical speak, as that was most needed against this opponent, but she just... Charged ahead.

He grunted. He didn't think she'd live long, charging in without a thought and against a drake. He slowly moved forward, watching closely to the drake's movements and for any abilities it could have. An Elemental Breath weapon. Fire. That was a given, of course. He was about to continue watching, but the drake had turned to keep up with the Knight, leaving it's hind painfully exposed.

Not one to leave any openings, he charged forward nearly silently; no sound came from him except the heavy yet steps. He was slower than her, markedly, but most likely much stronger and resilient. Stamina was another thing altogether, though he could go for awhile. He was readying a powerful swing to its midsection when he saw, out of the corner of his eye, the female Knight get pinned under a claw.

He roared more in anger than anything. Well of course she was in a precarious position, just charging in like that! Even he, who was most akin to a bull, hadn't rushed. His swing was already getting closer to the drake, though, and momentum stopped him from just quitting mid-swing and rushing to her aid. Instead, he twisted his wrist a certain way and made the vertical slash more horizontal.

The strike skipped off the drake's scales, and the Tauren turned with the swing. The blade carried on into the leg the pinned the knight. The swing had a large amount of power and momentum behind it, but against the drake's scales, it wasn't quite a match. The swing dug the blade into the drake's leg; it was enough. The wounded beast raised its whole foreleg, and swung out, dislodging the blade from its new wound and sending the horned warrior to his back a few good yards away.

His aim was true. He meant to free the knight and draw the beast to his attention, and he'd done just that. The drake turned away from the Knight and roared at Devaux, who quickly got to his feet. He placed the flat of his blade against the dip of his shield again, moving back into stance. He emitted a powerful roar in response, further angering the beast. At least, he hoped it was getting angrier by his actions. An angry opponent was a clumsy opponent. He just hoped the Knight knew what to do next, and do it quick.

Meliadoul, was filled with rage. She was laying there, helpless under a dragon claw, hopeless, like a princess in a tower, she always needed someone to save her, and she was tired of it. She stood up. Breathing heavily with her blade clutched in hand. With the Dragon focused on the Tauren.  She had a chance..She wanted to be the Hero, and it only made her a fool, She quickly but quietly (Relative to the dragons hearing) Made her way to the dragons neck. She quickly thrust her blade upwards, towards the Dragon, With so much force and rage, it pierced the scales. although it broke her blade, shattering it to pieces.., The dragon though , had seen better days, Dragon blood spilt from its neck.

Meliadoul quickly got out of the way of the Dragon's fall, moving a good three meters away from the drop zone, Meliadoul was dead silent.  As the crowd roared, she silently cried. She had been saved, dishonored , shamed. Everything.. She moved towards the dragon, and placing her feet against the dragon..SHNK, She pulled out its largest front tooth. She quietly moved towards the exit, to hide her true emotion under her hood...

Devaux continued to roar behind his shield and blade, slowly backing away from the drake. His eyes flicked to the Knight, watching as she moved quietly to the drake's neck. He could almost see her plan, and he aided as best as he could from his position. He drew back his greatsword and banged it against his shield, causing even more noise and keeping the dragon's focus on him. He moved back to his previous stance (with the flat of his blade in the dip of his shield) and continued to roar as he saw the drake open its maw, summoning it's deadly Dragon-Fire. He hoped that she was close, for fear that he was going to be roasted alive.

The Dragon-Fire never came. The beast roared, but Devaux heard the difference in this particular cry. The drake was in pain. He opened his eyes, which had previously been turned away as he'd crouched his entire form behind his shield. Or tried to, at least. He was bigger than his shield. The beast fell with a great crash, and the crowd absolutely lost it. Screaming, crying, pointing, angrily giving bet-money at the end of the battle. In honesty, Devaux honestly wasn't paying attention. He was watching the female Knight.

He stood up, raising his sword though still not really paying attention. Ever the crowd-pleaser. He watched as the Green Clad Knight dug out a tooth and moved off to the exit. He followed her soon after, swinging his greatsword to the sheathe on his back.

As he came upon her, he nudged her, snorting softly. "Worthy fighter. Why act sad?" His speech was brutish, to be sure, but there was a certain intelligence behind his eyes that couldn't be denied.

Meliadoul turned her head away from the Tauren. To her, as of now he was just another gladiator, she honestly didn't care. Why would she?  , And then the rattling of chains echoed throughout the air, the  tossing and turning of metal, the roar of a beast. She quickly turned, wielding the Tooth much like a polehammer. A certain platform was sliding away, revealing a large caged Ogre, with a large mallet in his grip, the announcers voice rung throughout the air.

"Dont be going anywhere yet! Fair fighters! I present to you another challenge so our crowd might be a tad more pleased! "

Meliadoul looked to the Tauren, finally showing her face . and said "We need to disable his wrists, If we can disable them, hes slow enough so we wont get stomped on or chased." She smiled, waiting for a response.

Devaux grunted when he heard the rattle of chains, the abuse of metal, and the roar the preceded their next opponent, which he hadn't been informed of. He merely turned his head and looked out towards the creature, an ogre, wielding a nightmarish mallet. Then the announcer's voice started up again; Devaux didn't really like this person, who seemed to just talk and talk for no reason.

The Tauren reached behind his back and drew his greatsword, holding the hilt tightly as he shifted his shield arm. Their last bout had gone rather quickly, so he was still quite fresh for battle. And ogres, from his experience, were less deadly then dragons. At least, dragons with wings.

He looked down at the woman, nodding in acceptance. The wrists would have to go soon, then. Perhaps even the entire hand, if he could; the Green Clad Knight's only weapon was a dragon tooth, which could do damage, but not really slice as well as a sword. "Get attention, I will go for legs first, then wrists, yes?" He grunted, before moving into a more offensive position, with his swordarm towards the beast. He didn't quite move, but he figured the ogre would soon enough.

"Tooth not good as sword. Want shield?" If his arm was freed, he'd be able to swing the greatsword as quick as a shortsword, and with twice his normal power, but he'd be lacking defensively. On the other hand, the Knight would have more protection, but be slower; the shield was quite large, enough to be a tower shield to the smaller woman.

Meliadoul shook her head "Ill be fine, Try and get it distracted, Get its attention as I cricle around". Meliadoul smiled, before pulling on her hood a tad further, and slowly circling around to the right, awaiting for the Tauren to make his distraction.

In the meantime she took her time, thinking about her strategy. If she had rushed it she would've have been identified as a threat, so she had to look weak. She pretended to be tired, forcing heavy breaths and a weighted stature.

She awaited the Tauren's actions, spinning around the Tooth idly.
