OOC: It's ok! Sorry it took me a few days to reply myself! I was busy and was trying to get my muse together for a post to help transition them into the town :3
----------
"Well," Gherrick began, speaking over the down pouring rain as he leaned in real close to her, shivering lightly as well. "I do not like to advertise this, but I do keep a fair amount of coin on my person for this just occasion. Let us go into town," and he found himself shivering again, rain droplets rivering down his face and dripping off the ends of his nose and chin, as well as his red hair, which was now a handsome but unruly mess about his face, covering just one blue eye of his.
"I can use that money to get us a room. Then hey, if you'd like, perhaps a warm drink and some food for our bellies!" and he laughed, then gestured forward "Ladies first," as the pair of them made their way into town. They must have looked like a pair of drowned rats by the time they made it to any sort of Inn, and the name of the place, The Grey Oyster, was a strange one indeed. But they were nearing the seaside boarder now, but not in an ocean dwelling town, for even Gherrick knew the oceans were still but another town or so off from here. Though it seemed the Grey Oyster's claim to fame were oyster meals and fish, so when asked, after the two had been shown a seat, Gherrick gave an uneven grin towards his lady friend.
"I think whatever the house special is would suffice, and perhaps an inquiry to a pair of rooms?" Gherrick said.
"We've only got but one room available for the night. Would you like it?"
Gherrick hesitated, but only briefly before smiling. "Why, yes. We'll take the last one." It was better than nothign as he shuffled uneasily about upon the wooden chair and leaned forward on his elbows to glance at Eliana.
"Hope you don't mind. Seems we might have to share one for the night. Though early tomorrow morning we can get back onto the road. Maybe these rains will clear and if you'd like, I can get you to a port town. Then you can leave this country by ship or caravan going over the mountains. ANd I Know a few friends who might be able to help you with either method of travel that you prefer."
And it was by then the barmaid had returned and Gherrick looked up at her with a grin.
"So what sort of drinks will you be having?" she asked, her fat arms ready to scribble down the order.
"Yes, er.. um..." Gherrick thought it over. "Just something warm would be nice! Though, dare I ask if you have anything without alcohol?" Though at his question, the lady gave him a stare, and Gherrick only smiled as he shrugged. "Though alcoholic would be fine. So long as it's warm." HE wasn't a man to drink, so he was undeniably a light weight. He'd just would have to watch his intake. But a warm drink was all that he needed.
The barmaid then turned to Eliana, looking her over with a scrutinizing gaze. "And for you?"
