.they headed off, SIREN hanging toward the back with her arms huddling around her body. it wasn't that she was cold, but the nervousness of the situation was settling in her. after all, she'd be killed if she was found. the kilanthro mountains were sprawled out before them, marring the horizon as they towered above even the highest buildings. dwarfing them with stunning ease. there were no paths leading there, and the sun was beginning to give way into a beautiful tangerine slumber along the skyline. sinking ever so gently out of sight, leaving the shadows to dance about and play tricks on people. the stars overhead offered their own promise. POLARIS shown very brightly to help them along on their venture. and they trecked on. her barefeet took carefully plotted steps into the lush patches of grass if possible. the cold blades of grass reached up around her toes and chilled her. perhaps there would be a cave of some sort. yes, a cavern where they could stay safely. build a fire. she was already hungry so it would be. her stomach mumbled to her softly as a calm reminder for now. her arms lowered to coil about her stomach in a silent scold.

.she looked over to her companions to see if they were standing up to the hike very well either. both had more clothing on than she, as well as shoes, so they were probably warmer. but that wasn't the concern, it was how well ZATHAIN was getting around. she worried that he may have a dizzy spell or something of the sort. some kind of side effect. she listened attentively for anyone threatening coming down the path. she was now terrified of company, and strangers seeingthem could mean death to the entire clan. all three of them, anyhow. ACAUDRIC, do you think there will be shelter? she inquired timidly, her teeth beginning to clatter softly against each other as the brilliant hues of the sunset gradually sank into deep purples and violets. alot of land had passed beneath them in that short amount of time. the mountains stood like guards not too far along anymore. it was disembodying how magnificent they were, simply massive. jutting toward heaven as though they had a score to settle with GOD himself.
