Yasmin was taken by surprise when Agrian actually hugged her, and for a moment she hardly comprehended what was happening. She had always been a tactile, open person before her life got twisted and taken from her, and Agrian had found himself on the receiving end of that a few rare times, but never the opposite. For a moment, she just stood there in awkward disbelief, but then, finally, she wrapped her arms around him and gave him a gentle squeeze back--and it was a genuine one, not a "I don't know whether to hug you or kill you" hug.
But soon the awkward moment was over, and yet, she was glad for it. Hugs were funny, stupid things. It made her feel a little better, a little more human.
It also drained out some of the tense, nervous anxiety.
Exhaustion catching up with her now that she had relaxed a little, Yasmin took a seat, sorely, on her own cot. "So what do we do now?" she asked at length, and cracked a grin. "I mean, aside from get all gushy at each other, haha--seriously, none of this leaves this room. But I mean, you can't keep doing it. I can't keep doing it. But we're stuck here." She tossed a pebble at the wall of their cell.
"And we're going to be sold again. If we don't die here, of course. Then it'll be right back to the ring with us, and as we've both established, that's just not something either of us want or can put up with. I know if they sent me back out there after all this, I think...I don't know. I don't know if I could just throw down my sword and refuse to fight, because I don't know that the other person won't just gut me. I mean, you told me you wouldn't hurt me, and what'd I do to you?"
