By the time she stepped into the forest, outside was dark ( but, luckily for Lis, whose sight wasn't the best, not foggy ). A few small stars shone nicely on the night sky, and she felt watched over by forces she couldn't understand.
She had Silver, her white tracker dog, with her. It wasn't fully grown, but it sensed magic all the same. As Lis advanced in the forest, the dog started to snarl.
Right then, she knew it was the right place.
The place the old man was talking about in the letter her father received; an anonymous lord asking for help, because the forest region in Adela seemed haunted by demons. Lis thought it was a good mission to put her swords to good use, after she took a break from fighting and devoted herself to forgery for some time. She was starting to get rusty, so the quest came at the right time, Lis thought to herself.
As she was getting near the center of the forest, Silver began to howl in an alarming way, with a sound that seemed like a mix between a hurt animal and an angry, ready to kill, wolf.
Lis started to feel the demonic presence too. She touched her sword. Her hands got gradually warmer, untill she was sure she focused enough magic in the weapon to be ready to attack at any time.
Suddenly, she heard fight sounds going on. She ran to the source, only to see a bunch of demons dancing and crawling around a red-haired woman...
