Welcome to SOE, Dedtoo! SOTE is a pretty open and diverse world of rp, or at least I'd like to think so! The owner, Rhi, set this place up in quite a unique way that the players really have a lot of control and freedom over the world and story (granted, so long as what's not created breaks canon!)
Most of the world, it's information, the rules, etc, is found on all of the information tabs up top of the page, but hey- if you got any questions don't  hesitate to ask! Also, there is a chat box located on the main page (at the bottom) so if you have any questions don't hesitate to ask here (or on the question board, or the chat box mentioned!)

I hope you enjoy your time here playing with us and again, welcome to SOTE!

The Never King- a king erased from history because of his dabblings in dark magic (among other things...) suddenly because a present day problem when an unlikely group of adventurers 'awakens' him from the grave. You can read more about the event on the plotting page here and information page here!

I ran the Connlaothian civil war. For more info, check out it's page here. The war has now turned into a 'Cold War' with it's plotting page found here. It's no longer a huge site wide event but the scars are there.

I do have one question actually: I have a race that I made, and from what I understand, it's okay to use it for rps and stuff. But to actually make it official, and for them to have a nation of their own, I need to apply somewhere, right?
I probably won't, until I've gotten the feel of the site, but hey, plan ahead, right? :P

Hmm... not sure if you can make it a nation, but you can make it official. I mean, there are people like fox who create races and then some other people use that race for some of the characters. And you can always just create a village of your special people!

Anyway, ask Rhi if you want a definite answer. >.>

Btw you are now a lizard in my mind (thanks to Thalia). Hope that's okay.

The only time you need something approved is when you wish to make something site canon and available to everyone for use. Otherwise, you are more than welcome to create your own setting and races in rp. I actually do this a lot and one of my rps is actually taking place on my own created continent (even though there is no section of the forums for it.)

Now, your creations could come under investigation if you're breaking the world's established lore however so do try to keep lore in mind when creating something. :)
