Hi!

So there I was, wondering how to fill some down-time, and I checked out that good ol' RPG-Directory site thing, what has led me from site to site over the long, hard years.

This place has piqued my interest, more or less.  Especially with the word freeform wherein I do not have to make a thousand posts to have enough 'gold' to have a character of consequence. Apparently you do, but it may still be all right!

I am looking for a casual site (read: a thread here and there with moderately high activity) to compliment other ongoing site fun stuff.  I have been writing on roleplay forums for nigh unto twenty years, since the great hay-day of the internet's baby days, when all things forum were relatively unlovely and the basic idea behind MMO's hadn't destroyed the text-based online game yet.

I will probably submit a character thing tomorrow, beings as its o'dark thirty at the moment and I only just stumbled across this enormous board.

Welcome Aeyliea!  I'm glad you chose SotE as the place for you!  I'm sure you'll find yourself right at home here in no time at all.  Be sure to read up on The World section, and when you're ready with your character, hit the plotting boards.

Though we do have gold here, it's more for shits and giggle purposes than for spending.  Just for fun!  And another great thing about this place is that once you make your character, you're free to start playing.  No need to wait for approval.  If you have any questions feel fre to ask me or one of the admins!  Have a great time here, and see ya round!

Hey there Aeyliea. Welcome to the site!

Like Lion said, there's no need to worry about character approval or anything like that, just post them up and you're ready to go. When you want to look for people to thread with, your best bet is the plotting center. You can also check out the chat-box at the bottom of the main page.

Once again, welcome to SotE! I look forward to seeing the things you create here!

I'm glad you can remember that far back!  My earliest memories of writing were monarchy forums back in.....the mid 90's?

Anyway if nothing too exciting happens this evening I will introduce Luna to the world of SotE.  Looking forward to seeing what we can dredge up here, together!

The Never King- a king erased from history because of his dabblings in dark magic (among other things...) suddenly because a present day problem when an unlikely group of adventurers 'awakens' him from the grave. I ran the Connlaothian civil war. For more info, check out it's page here. The war has now turned into a 'Cold War' with it's plotting page found here. It's no longer a huge site wide event but the scars are there.
