To his amazement, "Mr. Hobbles" managed to reach the sea with only minimal stumbling. Then again, after the amount of walking it took to get from Adela to the sea, one would only expect he would get used to operating with his currently dead foot.

...Although, all that success was soon thrown out the window as soon as he stepped into the loose sand. In his whole life, he had never seen any creature, human or beast, walk gracefullyâ€"much less run gracefully!â€"through the white sand that lead up to the shimmering shoreline, and with his added condition...well, it was just a recipe for disaster.

Halfway to the shoreline, Hatame plopped down in the sand rather gracelessly, and drew his legs in indian style as though to make his fall look like it was done on purpose. And maybe it half was. Aside from his uncooperative foot, the pain from his curse was acting up a bitâ€"though, of course, he'd never admit it. He had, after all, done quite a lot in the last few days, and now it was catching up to him. Damn curse. Making him feel like an old man when he was scarcely the human equivilant of twenty!

"Well, here it is!" he announced to Sakkata, glancing up at her.

An otter surfaced a little ways out to sea and proceeded float on it's back and allow the current to push it to shore, from all appearances completely oblivious to the humans on shore. Upon reaching the beach the otter shook vigorusley, spraying water in every direction. When the oh so observant creature finally noticed the two humans a few feet away it gave an indignant yip and jumped back several feet. From there it watched the couple, its big glassy amber eyes huge. Amber? yes the otters eyes were definitly golden in colour.

Sakkata had followed Hatame the whole way, never once making any rude comments. That was something, since she found his numb foot -which she had caused- quite amusing.

When he finally plopped down, if not gracefully, she arched an eyebrow at him. "Smooth." She said calmly before breezing by him, her dragon-shaped feet sinking into the sand. However, she managed not to stumble, trip, or stagger at all.
So much for not being graceful on sand.

Her skin was a pale blue color, and a long, muscular dragon's tail protruded from her spine, smooth and ever twitching. Her hands had claws instead of nails, and her ears were abnormally long and pointed. Eyes with slitted pupils scanned the expanse of blue, blue water. Hair white as snow was tied back in a loose braid, a few strands done in braids hanging at the sides of her humanoid face.

Arms crossed, she simply stood and stared out at the water and the endless sky touching it. "Amazing." She murmured, her tail finally still for once.

A movement was seen off in the distance, nothing more it seemed than a simple ripple in the waves. Under the water the agile creature made her way towards the shore, hoping to find the sea creature she had left naught but an hour before. She moved until her webbed feet touched the sand at the bottom and her head stuck out on top of the water. She looked around and saw the strange creature standing by another creature. What it was she didn't know. Then she saw something more familiar, an otter. She didn't move closer though, just incase the two land creature's moved towards her.

Hatame stuck his tongue out at her back as she breezed by him without so much as a single stumble! "Show off," he murmered beneath his breath with a smirk, throwing in a final taunt before the ocean before him could subdue him.

Quietly, he surveyed the sight before he and Sakkata, watching with bright emerald eyes as the waves swept up onto the shore before retreating with a sigh, and as the sun danced off the many facets of the ever-moving waters. And, for a moment, he almost forgot where he was. For a moment, it was almost as though he were home...

He shook himself, Sakkata's comment snapping him from his brief reverie. "Yeah, I know...man, can't believe you've never been here. Deprived thing..." he mused, and, slowly, rose to his feetâ€"and got quite the surprise. Feeling was graduallyâ€"finally!â€"returning back to his foot, much to his relief. But, for now, he paid it no mind. He'd announce that victory to the world later.

"You can get closer to it, y'know. It doesn't bite...though some things in it might," he teased, walking past her with much less difficulty than before.

The sea elf stood in the water, watching the pair as the one who was sitting approached the water. She dove and swam back up a moment later, moving back as she did so. She did nothing but watch most of the time.

"Deprived? Me? Naw." Sakkata said with a light snicker, her tail twitching behind her yet again. As he breezed past her, she couldn't help one snowy white eyebrow arching. His foot feeling better already? Darn.

"Coming, coming." She muttered, shaking her head and following him towards the ocean. The rippling blue shattered the light and cast it back in an array of colors. She could only imagine what this place looked like at sunset. The beauty of it would be blinding.

She stopped with just her toes barely getting wet by the water lapping at the beach. She went no farther.

He watched her watch the ocean scenery in silence, noting how she only just touched the water, and how she seemed so entranced by it all.

Well, the mischievous and just plain evil side of him had just the cure for that! Besides...it'd serve her right for beating on him so much. Even if that was mostly the fault of he and his sometimes masochistic tendencies. Well, no, he actually didn't like pain at all; he just managed to get himself in a lot of situations that ended in that, in one way or another. After years of living with his curse, a lot of it didn't really bother him that much, at all.

He stood near her, though still a bit behind her, and for a few moments simply watched the ocean, as well. And then he acted on his impulses...and unceremoniously pushed her forward and into the water.

Well, that oughta get her to loosen up a bit!

OOC: It's still me, Feather!  ... Neee, how come your not acknowledging(sp?) Feather? She's getting pissed off at you :P

Feather's eyes widened in shock as one of the creatures shoved the other one into the water. She threw herself back in half-surprise, half of the fact that she didn't want to get squished. She then decided enough was enough, and after the creature had fallen, she dove under and swam a few paces to the left and then came above the water. She walked towards land until finally she was standing in the dry sand, standing not too far from the creature who pushed the other one in. The dry sand didn't stick to her skin and it seemed as though she wasn't wet at all. Speaking in the tongue of sea elves she asked them something, and then in broken english she asked,
'What do you want?'

(eek, sorry! i thought the charrie was further away, and not as close.  )

Sakkata let off what sounded like a shriek as she fell face-first into the water. She came up sputtering and coughing, shaking her head to get her drenched hair from her face.

She then let out a hiss.
"Hatame!!"

Her clothing was officially plastered to her form, which ment she was more than hesitant to now get out of the chilly waters.

Damn him!!

She turned to glare at the stupid gryphon, and her sharp gaze shifted immediatly to the new comer. "I came here to see the ocean. That idiot there came to get his ass kicked." She answered, grlowing at Hatame after wards.

IC:

Hatame was trying hard not to laugh and to look completely innocent when Sakkata came back upâ€"a very hard feat for one who was rarely ever innocent, if ever. Thus, he failed miserably at this, especially when the source of Sakkata's hesitance to get out of the water registered fully.

He burst into laughter, and the only thing that kept his upright and standing was the knowledge that he'd probably be needing to run soon.

Calming himself, he snickered at Sakkata's reply to a creature he hadn't before noticed, then grinned impishly at her. "And you know I'd like it, love," he commented sweetlyâ€"and made sure to back up a few paces afterward. Only then, when he was sure he was safe at least for the time being, did he turn his attention back to the new-comer, quirking an eyebrow slightly. Where'd she come from? Well, of course he wouldn't have noticed...he had been too wrapped up in Project: Torment Sakkata to have noticed a new arrival.

"Languages? Well, in my case, whatever the native tongue here is called, and a bit of the little known and rarely used ancient Gryphon. Dunno what the case is with the drowned rat over there," he added with a grin, glancing over at her and knowing good and well she'd have to get out of the water if she wanted to pummel him.

Sakkata snarled irritably, but still had to sit in the lapping waters. She wasn't so sure she wanted to risk standing in a wet green vest and off-white pants.

She twitched.

Nooooo, don't think so. Especially not in front of Hatame! She snarled again.

"Drowned rat?!?!" She shouted, eyes widening. She then hissed, and in it was a mixed growl. It was anything but human.

"You'll pay for that one!" One palm jerked towards the sky, and a ball of blue-white flame appeared.

Magick, anyone??

This ball of flame was suddenly hurtling towards Hatame, not big enough to kill, but big enough to cause a hell of a lot of pain if it hit.

IC:

Hatame stared at the suddenly mute creature, blinking bright green eyes in confusion of his own. Ooookay. This was kinda odd. Wait...maybe she didn't understand? Her English had been kind of funny. He started to relay her the message in simpler terms, but then stopped dead as Sakkata's angry voice reached his ears, along with that inhuman growl. He cringed.

Uh oh...she sounded pissed. That couldn't be too good aâ€"OH SWEET HELLS!

As soon as he saw the orb of flame hurtling toward him, he threw himself down and to the side, and, lucky for him, escaped with a burn across his left side rather than what he imagined would have been a rather nasty burn all over. Crouched down on the sand, he rubbed his side sorely, and found the flesh there exposed where the flame had burned through the fabric of his shirt.

"Good gods, woman, it was a joke!"

She was, quite simply put, pissed.

Some part of her found all of this insanely funny, but at the moment, the fact she was stuck in the ocean near sun-down was over ruling all other emotions. She was stranded!

He smiled sweetly at her from where he was, and feigned innocence. "Can't get out of the water? Are you stuck? Do you need help?" he asked her, rising to his feet with a slight wince. Ah well...a little extra pain was well worth this! This was bloody hilarious!

"You know, I wouldn't play in the water for too long, now. It's starting to get dark, and some nasty critters visit the sea at night..." he told her, smirking mischievously.

Basically, the only thing going through her head was: 'Damn him Damn him Damn him Damn him Damn him Damn him Damn him Damn him Damn him Damn him Damn him Damn him Damn him...' and so on and so forth.

"Can you see in the dark?" She growled finally, the sun almost completely out of view behind her.

Hatame continued to watch her with that innocent expression plastered to his face, though his mouth twitched, wanting to curl into a smirk. Man, lucky for him looks couldn't kill, or he'd drop dead on the spot!

Her question, however, piques his curiosity, and before he answers he immediately runs it through his mind to try and see if it's a trick one. After all, she did look pretty homicidal right now, and he had half a mind to think that if he replied no, she'd try and murder him or something. But then the source dawns on him. Ohhhh, riiiight...

That does it, and he starts to snicker despite himself. Heh heh, in that case, she just might kill him no matter what the reply!

"Heh...ah...well...yes and no," he told her, smirking. "I can see in the dark fairly well, but, eheh, if you're worried about me looking..." He smirked devilishly. "No worries, I'm not tempted. Yet."

Sakkata snorted, the sky behind her getting ever darker.

"I'll just hold you to that..." She muttered, waiting, arms folded over her chest. The temperature was already begining to dip slightly as the warming rays of the sun dissapeared over the horizon.

Full dark was fast in coming, and Sakkata's slitted pupils opened, allowing her nearly full vision in the dark.

"Just so you know, I can see in the dark. So don't try anything." She snapped before skittling out of the chilly waters. She began to ring out her clothes without actually taking them off. Undergarments simply weren't something Drygans wore, and she was now begining to wonder why they didn't. Her damn clothes were sticking to her entire body! Ugh!

The sea elf stood straight, watching the two in the setting light and then darkness. She simply watched, her eyes adjusting well in the change of light. She didn't seem at all moved by the ball of flame the more female-looking creature threw at the less female-looking one. She took a few steps forwards, curious now. Besides, these creatures didn't seem dangerous at all. I'm sure Feather wished she knew what fire was. Being a sea-elf she didn't get to see much magic.

"Yes, ma'am. I promise to be good," Hatame replied with mock disappointment and solemness that was only betrayed by a smirk he couldn't repress.

As she wrung out her clothes, he suddenly had the strangest urge to cheer her on, and he came very close to doing it, as well. Buuut, something told him that probably wouldn't be too good an idea, at the moment. The thought was amusing, nonetheless, and he would have done it had he not planned on making it through the night with all his bones in tact.

A formidable task for this reckless gryphon-in-a-human's-shape.

And also a bit of a strange goal for one so bent on self destruction. Hmm...Hatame confused himself, at times. Half the time, he hardly knew what he wanted! Damn curse.

Biting his tongue to keep from acting upon his impulses, he instead settled himself down on the sand cross-legged, and idly sifted sand through his fingers as he watched both the sea and what he found were amusing antics by Sakkata. That was quite an amazing feat she was performing, somehow attempting to get herself dry while keeping all garments in place. Interesting.

He looked back to the new creature, noticing how she was silently watching he and Sakkata, and grinned at her. He made a motion with his hand, signaling her to come closer. She looked like she wanted to come nearer, but seemed hesitant to do so. "You don't have to hide. We don't bite. Well...Sakkata might..." he added with a smirk over at Sakkata.

Feather had taken another step forward when she saw the one who had sat down motion to her to come closer. This set off an alarm in her head and she bent down, sitting on her feet if you will. Her head was lowered and her long tipped ears had gone flat against her head, rather than stick out as they usually did. She put her hands close to the sand and with a worried or angry look(you can never tell) took a step closer, still close to the ground. She took about three steps closer, leaving a safe amount of space between herself and the other creatures, just incase she felt the need to flee.

Time to try a new, nifty technique.

Sakkata's slender form suddenly burst into her characteristic blue-white flame. The tower flame flame blocked out her figure completely, flickering with a brilliant light against the dark background.

Once it had died down, Sakkata was dry and happy. "Well, that worked out nicely." She mused. She then sauntered up to Hatame and twirled around, knocking him squarely in the head with her tail. Not hard enough to break anything, but hard enough.

"Ass." She snorted at him, arms crossed.

Or maybe he did, and that was why he kept egging her on.

Nah. Really, it was just because he loved getting a rise out of her. Her reactions were well worth the pain. Call it tough love.

Feather heard something big land onto something else, in fact, she saw it too. The large tailed creature sat on the chest of the weaker creature. She looked over, saw the new comer, and let out a shriek. More terrible than any. It sounded as though the hearer's ears, no very brains were on fire. It was a quick yell, nothing special. Suddenly out of the water something flew. Literally. An eight inch woman with wavy, water blown, blue hair and green tinged skin made her way until she landed on the Sea Elf's shoulder. Feather said something that sounded like when you go under water and try to talk, the woman seemed to understand it though. The small lady flew over to the two creatures, landing in the sand two feet away from the male creature. She stood there and looked up at the two, her yellow eyes questioning.

((Ugh, my brothers blaring crap music again!))

 OOC: Aww!

IC:

Hatame made a sound somewhere between a choke and a wheeze when Sakkata sat on him, and not lightly, either! Agh! When had she gotten so dang heavy!? She hadn't felt that heavy when he had carried her into Adela not that long ago. Now, it felt like his ribs would cave in! At the very least, he'd suffocate!

Well...maybe that was a bit of an exaggeration.

But this still left him in a bit of a predicament.

"I'm...not...your personal...throne, blubber-butt..." he groaned as he attempted to lift her off him without accidentally touching any inappropriate areas. Not that he was tempted in the first place, but he just didn't want to get reamed for the fiftieth time today, and thus was being extra cautious.

If you could call Hatame cautious in the first place.

And then came that lovely sound from the sea elf, which temporarily halted all efforts to escape. He grimaced, the sound piercing to his sensitive ears, but thankfully it didn't last long enough to cause any real damage to his ear drums, though it did leave them ringing. Yep. It was official. Women were evil.

Once more, he set to attempting escape, but in his awkward position and with Sakkata crushing him, pushing her off wasn't working out so well. Fine. Time to try other methods, and gosh-darnit, it had better work!

...so, he reached up and started tickling Sakkata's sides. Hey! It never failed to weaken a victim! So long as they were ticklish, at least. And hopefully Drygans were! Or, at the very least this Drygan.

For now, Hatame didn't notice the little flying creature. His focus was currently on breaking free.

But, at least he wasn't touching anything that might possibly get him creamed again.

Perhaps the oh-so-dense one was learning???
Naw, couldn't be!

Sakkata let off her own shriek at the sudden scream and covered her long, pointed ears. Damn!!! What the hell was THAT???
It stopped soon enough and she blinked, looking over at the strage girl again.

And then Hatame's fingers found her sides, and her spine jerked straight at the ticklish sensation. "What the HELL???" She snarled and she fell over backward from her sudden jolt. Now on her back in the sand, her legs and tail still on Hatame's chest, she rubbed her sides. "What the hell was that???" She demanded, sitting up and glaring at him.

She had yet to notice the little creature as well.

"That is called 'tickling'. A very evil and low maneuver that is guaranteed to work almost every time," Hatame told Sakkata wryly when he was able to breathe properly again, rubbing his chest. He snickered. "Don't tell me no one's ever done that to you before, you deprived thing."

It had just felt...weird. And it had made her want to laugh. Which was also weird. Just...weird.

Her gaze shifted to the little fairy and she blinked. "Me? I'm a Drygan." She answered calmly, then glanced over at Hatame, waiting for him to answer as well.

His green eyes widened considerably, his expression sobering. "Lovers?" he repeated quizzically, raising his eyebrows. "Erm...well, with us Gryphons, close contact is the norm, so don't you be gettin' any ideas!" he told her, though there was amusement in his voice. She certainly looked uncomfortable!

He took advantage of that by poking her again in the side.

His gaze followed Sakkata's, and he blinked down at the fairy, Where'd that come from? "And I'm a Gryphon," he answered and then laughed and corrected himself. "But I'm in a human form, now."

And probably forever...

The fae blinked a few times and turned her back to the drygan and gryphon. She said something in the same watery voice and Feather replied. The fae turned and looked at the two, then she fluttered her wings and started hovering, about half a foot off the ground.
'I see... I've never heard of your species.' She said, fluttering forwards and poking Sakkata(sp?) in the chin. She backed up a bit, still in flight, and spoke again.
'She wants to know if your mates or not. Mostly because you act like it in her eyes.' The translator explained.

"...mates...?" Hatame echoed incredulously, staring wide-eyed at the little fae as though the mere idea of that was so impossibly abstract that it was beyond any realm of comprehension he was capable of. He blinked slowly at her, twice, and then, quite suddenly, toppled over in another fit of laughter.

"AHH! Oh gods, hell no!" he choked out. "Ahahaha...that's funny...good one...heh heh...us...mates...that's great..." And then, he paused suddenly, raising up and looking at the faerie quizzically as another bit of information sank in. He raised an eyebrow. "We act like mates to her?" How on Earth was that possible?

Did the female normally beat the crap out of the male in most societies?

Sakkata blinked as she was poked in the chin, pulling her legs closer to her body and batting Hatame's hand away as he poked her again. "No, most haven't heard of us. Drygans are very, very rare." She answered calmly, then grinned at the question.

The fact Hatame was laughing his ass off only made her clock him one good in the head. "Yes, I can see why she would see that. Maybe not in your society, Gryphon boy, but deffinately in mine. Remember, my kind fight for everything and anything, and rough physical behavour is common." Her gaze easily shifted back to the fae. "But no, we are not."

A sudden tingle started through her head, and she was suddenly aware of another Drygan. She gasped before she could help it.

The fae buzzed about to some degree, she didn't understand why the man was laughing at all. She thought it must be a man thing as she looked over her shoulder, shouted something to the sea elf, and turned back to the two creatures. The sea elf walked towards the troupe cautiously, somewhat crouched down.
'Actually, Drygan's can have their dominion over eachother, Feather just didn't understand. She's seen water creatures who were mates, but she didn't understand it. You two, well, your... strange.' She said, a confuzzled (yay! new word) look on her face. The sea elf was standing next to the fae, just before sitting down, crossing her legs.
'She doesn't speak english.' The fae sighed.

"Ohhh...so, does that mean you're fighting over me, then, darling?" Hatame asked Sakkata sweetly, then shielded his head in advance. Man...he was gonna have some nice bruises in the morning!

He grinned at the fae's statement, particularly the comment about the two of them being "strange". His grin shifted into a smirk. "Well, ya know what they say: birds of a feather...er...Drygans...ah, whatever, yanno what I mean." Hmm...actually, no. Maybe gryphons "flocked" together, if they were of the same Clan at least, but a gryphon and a type of dragon? Gryphons and dragons of any sort, at least in his home land, were mortal enemies! Hatame was breaking many traditions and codes associating with Sakkata.

Not that it mattered an ounce to him.

And then, Sakkata gasped so suddenly it made him jump in surprise. "Huh? What's up?"

Sakkata shivered down to her toes, and then stood abruptly. Her tail lashed behind her in an irritated fashion, striking the sand and sending sprays of it into the air.

"Another Drygan..." she answered softly.

She then turned and began to dash up the beach, her hand already on the hilt of her silver sword.
She wanted to find this other. And soon.

Feather jumped up in shock at Sakkata's swift movement. Feather stood, watching the Drygan with narrowed eyes. The fae had jumped off of Feather's should and began fluttering in the air.
"What's the matter?" The fae asked somewhat alarmed.

Hatame jumped to his feet as soon as Sakkata did, about to dart after her, but paused only long enough to look to Feather and the fae in an equally confused fashion.

"Who knows," he answered. "Drygans are so weird! Well, it's been swell, but I better be off. Gotta keep her in line, ya know," he added with a smirk before turning and dashing off after Sakkata.

**Meredith hears a few noises that makes her skiddish. A high, piping cry that sounds like a flute that's gone out of contol emits from her. She begins running around the shoreline, not noticing she's running right into the tide. A wave hits her and she goes under just for a little bit. Her frightened piping cry still emits from her. Rainbow tears are staining her part of the water...**

Feather looked shocked at the creature who ran about before hitting the wave. She said something in the tongue of sea elves, and the fae laughed a bit, nodded her head and hopped up onto Feather's shoulder. The fae said something to Feather and says in common to everyone else, (Where is everyone?)
'Seems as though we're not needed. Bye then!' And with that Feather started walking opposite of the direction that the Drygan and other guy had went(sorry, I can't remember what your character is ).

OOC: And now I bid you all adu.
