I see that in the Discard Pile, in Archives, then in Dead Submissions there is a spot called 'Bestiary' where some people (two!) have profiles for races. Since it's in the Archives, I'm assuming it's dead, but I think that that if it were reveived it would be a good place for members to post more about their races so other players would know more and be able to play a character of that race. I know I would post there!

I believe after taking to Rhi awhile back that this is something the admins were working in revamping as I also had some plants and beasts I was going to add. Don't quote me on that though 😊
I also saw that there was a 'Races and Species' page as well as a 'Bestiary' page that was scrapped. Could that possibly be revived as well? And I was also wondering, why were those pages scrapped in the first place?

I know I would make use of it. I have one races/species page posted, but am going to do another one sometime as well. And who knows, maybe more will come after that...
I think it's a fabulous idea and, to be quite honest...it's actually something I'm working on organizing right now! (As in, today! xD I'm in a big organization/revamp mood so beware! xP) Because I think it'd be awesome, and I know last time we did it, it didn't work out because we didn't have a great system for it. |: So it sorta fell through.
BUT! I reeeally want it to be a thing! So badly! Because so many people have such awesome races and cultures and beasts. I was thinking that upon submission, the creation becomes site canon? As in other people can play it. And that we'll work very closely with submissions to make sure they gel with the site. 8D Whatcha think?
(And of course that doesn't mean people can't continue making and playing their own stuff without submitting it! Just that submitted lore will be playable by anyone. x3)
I'm just right now debating the best way to do this. Submit through the forum and then post up the finished stuff on the wiki? Or keep it all on the forum? I think the wiki would be best for organizational purposes, because then we can really organize them by where they're from and all that. 8D

So once submitted, the creation would be approved, then posted onto the forum or wiki? If it were to be on the wiki, would it also be in the forum, or not? Either way, it doesn't really matter, just wondering.
I think that there would be a number of members interested in this, and thank you for taking the time to pursue something like this! XD
I don't know about the wiki nor do I have any suggestions there, but I *think* perhaps the best place to put a races/species section and a bestiary section would be to make a sub-board in the plotting center. Like maybe just before the guilds section or after the Serendipity Province Plotting (or wherever you decide is best). That way it would be easily found by others and so whoever wants to can submit their stuff. :)

I was just looking at the Wiki in the Player Submissions spot, and there is already a Bestiary/Races/Species section. That would be where it would be again if were to be started up, right? It seems well organized and once a submission was submitted through the forum it would go there.
And what is the difference between the Bestiary, the Races, and the Species pages? :P

butt in, chip in with my own 2 cents again.
I think as far as I understand races and species is one page, while the bestiary is another? Although it might be better to rename the Bestiary page the 'Flora and Fauna' page instead. Also, sometimes the meanings of race, species, and sub-race can get quite convoluted especially since in the real world, species refers to an entire group or collection of people or animals sharing basic fundamentals or characteristics, whereas race is equivalent to sub-race in fantasy. So species is to race, as race is to sub-race, IRL vs fantasy. But I would think the two would overlap, since for example if someone wanted to play a Gray Orc for instance, does that go under race or species? :P Does it even matter? Pardon my long-winded rambles, but just wanted to say all that. :D
