Godfrey sat, going over papers in town house, it was a large house, bigger then the others out of necessity. The farm had indeed grown, with the remaining goblins actually entering friendly terms after the forced skirmish with an unsettled alliance, which proved fruitful, Godfrey was able to help them deal with the rogue giant in their territory causing the raids, however, betrayal was to happen, raids went to start and Godfrey put a stop to it, claiming the tunnels as his own, in fact, he helped another tribe of goblins suppressed by this one. Through negotiation, they decided to ally and eventually join the town. As it stands, they stand as the mountain watchers and share tunnels with human miners, much as his own folk allow them into their own lands and deal in food and supplies.
It was a blessed union, he even was able to get his goddess and a priestess over, especially after showing how much the bounty has increased. Of course, there was some converts and some not, he didn't push. He had a church built for the gods and goddesses here as well. Tending to tolerance of belief...though, he did support Yalthnea and did push her beliefs with trinkets and dolls and such. It has helped plump up some of the maidens in the town, but many still had their beliefs, many converted willing every day though.
The town had blossomed, once a large farm of many fields was a vast farm of many fields and many houses. Even a small blacksmith with a church set up. A small mine in the north connected by a trial, leading to the goblins. Trade was done with them daily and was considered a part of town. They protected them, and the town protected them, they were officially in the eyes of many part of the town.
The town had a couple of guard, soldiers in scale with spears and shields, nothing much else, goblins having similar where. He recently started to trade, epescially with the towns' stockpile of food over flowing, he had food to trade, and ores to trade too. He thought it would make some money and caravans where being set up to trade else where.
The town didn't have a wall yet, besides for maybe a few guards to watch out for and the occasional huntsmen to scout, not counting the goblins up in the mountains keeping tabs on things.
They also had to deal with the neighbors, these were little spirits he found, he made sure not to disturb them and they help out around town. This disgruntled some of the folk, but it has been rewarding and created much peace when there would of been chaos. He looked out his window, he still got the chance to adventure, but things had been busy. He stood up to look out, how much would it grow? He wasn't sure, but he wanted more. He was a hero, but there could be so much more he could do, so much more to do, he wanted to leave a legend, and he would make this place legendary.
He sighed, going to go outside, it was summer, people in work, sometimes walking about, the inn where people were eating was packed, the fields bountiful, the summer was out, the clouds in the sky. He stopped, hands behind his back as he observed a giant tree area where a neighbor made its home, laughing, it was peaceful, so much better then previously becoming a little like home, one step at a time. He would forge it into home, a peaceful place for all. One step at a time...such a peaceful day.
