The afternoon light in Niahi forest helped to illuminate it better than the morning's light had done. Stumbling around in the forest had not been the most enjoyable thing, but at least they weren't lost. Oh no. If anyone was able to ask a question, like 'Are you lost?' the answer would have been no. Well, the short answer would be. The long answer would have been 'Well to be lost one has to not know where they are going, and we clearly know that we are going forward, therefore we are not lost, but our particular location however unable to be discerned.' Luckily for most sane people, they were not around to hear answers.

It was quiet in the forest, as quiet as it could be. There was the odd sound of an animal running around, or birds chirping, the delciate sound of the forest shifting and groaning. There was also the sound of what was very much akin to a travelling pack of metal donkeys stomping through the rough underbrush.

It was not metal donkeys.

Well, it depended on who you asked.

They were humanoid however, and they looked like men which was probably a plus. They wore long strange coats, blackened leather that reached past their shins. They wore very large, thick, durable looking black boots with large buckles on them. These coats had long sleeves as well a belt around the waist to tie them both closed. They even had nice collars, which currently were popped upward for some reason.

Both of the men could have been twins, perhaps not exact, but they were both close in height and look. The taller man however had green eyes, a small nose, and chocolate brown hair. The other however was slightly smaller, his nose was larger, and his hair was a tangled nest of dirty blonde hair. His skin was also darker. Both of them had strange metallic teeth, razor sharp, and grinning at each other.

If they had been in a city, they would have been looked at very strangely. However, they were in the middle of a dense forest.

They still looked like mad men.

"I think I like walking this way. It seems slanted. Walking this way is a fine thing Mal'metheus. We should keep walking." The voice was light and cheerful, however there was a strange almost...metal and hissing tone to it. "Forward? Kinetic Expression of Movement." The taller one, Mal'metheus, or Mal responded. "Accelerated Motion in a predetermined direction that is designated by the way that the user is facing and the way that the legs bend in order to progress." The shorter man spoke in a fashion that sounded like a challenge. Mal stopped and stared at his companion, his face expressionless until it broke into a large grin.

"I like it Hal'enzera. Very well. We shall continue in an accelerated motion in a pre-determined direction that is designated by the way that the user is face and the way that the legs bend in order to progress." Mal reiterated the entire thing perfectly. "Which is that way." Hal'enzera, or just Hal, said as he pointed in the direction they had been heading.

"Yes. In that direction." The two of them smiled before they continued on their trek again. They stomped through the brush as they wandered about in the forest. It wasn't until an hour later did they come across something that finally perked their interest. It was the ruins of an old building, made of stone and wood, burnt out, with the forest reclaiming it quite a bit. "We have a tale." Mal said as he dashed to the ruins, but stopped at the edge of them. "Wooden cellar?" Hal asked as he approached and stood beside his companion. "Not sure. Stone that is scorched. Ashes that are so crisp and thorough...it is...wrong." Mal reached out, and was glad that his hands were covered with a pair of gloves as he wiped at the stone. The ash seemed to be burned directly into the stone, the very heat had scorched the rock completely.

"This is worrying, and yet this interesting." He commented a she inspected closer, going into the premises and looking around for any signs of time. The forest had taken this a long time ago apparently, but...he wondered what could have possibly done this. "Search brother. Start uncovering things, scratch in the dirt." "Ground." "Soil." "Mulch." "Layer of dead and decomposed animals and vegetables." The finality of Mal's voice stopped a retort from Hal who just grinned and began to pull away at weeds, small shrubs and clearing away logs that a normal man would have trouble with.

They were not normal people.

Still, what could they find in a ruined and burnt out house in the middle of a forest?

Their busy hands searched and felt around under rocks and logs, until finally behind a log against a few rocks there was something unusual. Very unusual. "Look Mal." Hal pulled the log further away and picked up two strange shiny objects from the dirt. They were golden studded earrings with a ruby in each of them. "Such heat, such destruction, and such power yet...why do these exist?" Hal stood up and showed them to his brother, who stared at the strange pair of jewellery. "This one has a greater sheen." Mal said as he looked to Hal who smiled. "Shine." "Glamour." "Sparkle." "Ocularly pleasant light effect." "You win. You get the dull one though for using Ocularly." Mal glowered as he took the duller of the two earrings and looked at it.

"Is it wise to put it in?" Mal wondered aloud as he looked down at the small earring in his hand. "I'm sorry, I couldn't hear you." Mal looked up and saw that his brother had already attached the earring in his left ear. Mal shook his head as he undid the back and put the earring into his right ear. Both of the men didn't bleed, nor did they even flinch or show pain on their faces.

They were very odd people.

"So do we continue our search now?"

It had been so long since she was out last. In a glimmer of light, like a curtain, Hirei (going to be Rei now, because jesus hell I'm going to get confused if it isn't) gave a cat like stretch, her legs curling under arms and her lower stomach pressing against the back of a head, arms reaching up before stretching out fingers and letting a purr like noise leave her lips. "Ah, to be out again!" A delighted purr and she rested her hands on her knees before looking down at the dirty blonde hair. "Why, it appears to be a person!" A delighted cat like grin grew across her face and she slowly rapped fingers against the top of his head.

Then she saw it, and glared.

Just like the woman now sitting on Hal's shoulders, another figure materialised like a sheet slowly gaining colour and mass. A man appeared, stretching also but looking a little more pleasant. This one was tall and lean, his wavy red hair and long ponytail flopped over one shoulder, he gave a grin before spotting the woman sitting on the man. "Rei!!" A delighted noise before he looked towards the person who had his earring.

And stared.

Rei also stopped glaring at her brother to lean forward and look at the person, she promptly gave a yelp and fell backwards off of him. "Creepy!" A fowl glare was thrown at all three males while she stood up and dusted herself off, giving a 'hmph!' before moving to glare at the blondes chest. Rei tilted her head a little to look up and leer. "Well, Hireso, we've had worse." Hireso looked towards the person wearing his earing and winced. Taller than he was.  That was new.

Hireso took a step away and gave a formal polite bow. "Hireso at your service, Sir!" A scoff could be heard and the taller of the pair glared towards his sister who was standing with a hand on her hip and blowing at her nails. "I am Hirei! Rei for short since he, and I, are twins and have horrible names."

Both were dressed for the desert, Hireso was wearing loose white pants with cloth boots and a vest with sheer sleeves and cuffs, leaving most of his chest exposed. Rei was dressed the same, though instead of a vest she had a bra of sorts, also with sheer sleeves. The out fits were shades of red and orange, the last thing they'd been wearing before their old master died - said master had a thing for costumes.

Rei pressed a hand to her chest and pointed her nose to the sky. "I am a djinn. I can grant any wish you like," An evil glint grew in her eye and she smiled before giving a bow. "What do you desire master?"

Behind her, the noise of a hand smacking into a forehead was heard and a loud dissapointed sigh followed. Hireso paused to look towards the taller of the pair they'd just met, "Don't look at me, she's the one with the voodoo." A lie. Even if these two were beyond freaky, there was still the chance they were stupid.

There was a strange fluctuation in the air around them, both of the men could feel it. Their eyes started looking about for what caused it. Both of them were still grinning, almost unaware of their current expression. A voice caused them to look around, but the speaker was unknown. Hal winced as something suddenly struck him on the head suddenly and the voice spoke up again. "Shoulder." Mal pointed to the woman that they both failed to notice. Hal had not felt it, despite if she had any weight to her.

"We are in the middle of a reunion." Mal noted as he looked to the own person who had materialized on his shoulder. This was probably the strangest thing that could have happened in this forest.

Hal and Mal looked at each other when the woman declared them creepy. "We're creepy." Mal said it like they had accepted it long ago. "We are indeed." Hal agreed with another one of those grins. Mal looked down at the new man who had suddenly materialized, Hal looking down at the strange woman as well, an eyebrow raised in confusion.

"Sir? I'm a sir. You're a 'had worse' Hal." Mal said with a pleasant grin as he still stared down at the strange man named Hireso. Hal was still apparently processing what was happening, his arms folded over his chest and his maddening grin no longer on his face. This was very strange indeed. They weren't dressed for the forest climate. This was odd. Where had they come from? They had just appeared...and...the woman had said...to be out again...he remembered that from when she was on his shoulder.

This was...not a very good situation.

"Desire?" For some reason, Hal looked downward as he thought about that. He rubbed his chin thoughtfully as he tried to figure out what that meant. "Do I desire things Mal?" He asked his friend who just shrugged his shoulders. "We probably do." He looked to his strange friend who told him that he didn't do...voodoo. "Mine doesn't do anything. Disappointing." Mal didn't very much like the sound of it...voodoo. Magic. They both knew what that was. Still...why would his do nothing? That seemed...strange. Then again...what was a Djinn.

"Do you remember anything about them?" Mal asked, approaching his shorter companion who nodded. "Djinn. Wish granters. Different realms have different forms and different religions attached to them. Different personalities, usually the more powerful ones shouldn't be trusted." Hal recited the summary that he could remember, however he couldn't remember everything. Mal nodded slightly as he looked to Hireso. "Mine doesn't do anything. Trustworthy do you think?" Hal squinted at the male Djinn as well. "Unsure. What if it is untrustworthy and a liar?" "What if he tells the truth?" "Make a wish then." Mal grinned as he looked from his friend to the Djinn. That would be a very apt thing to do wouldn't it.

Hal stepped back beside Rei and looked to her. What was with that ridiculous outfit? "Isn't it cold?" Didn't these creatures get cold? They looked...no, they had horns. That wasn't human at all.

"I really wish you would dance a harmless yet very humiliating and prudish family orientated dance." Mal said finally as he thought of something that wouldn't end in anyone getting hurt, just in case the creature was lying and COULD do magic. That would be terrible. Wishes could be orders after all. Hopefully this wouldn't end in horrible tragedy.

Rei and Hireso could only stare.

What was wrong with these two? The twins looked to one another and Rei looked worried for a moment before she shook her fist towards Hireso and stuck out her tongue, he quickly looked away, pouting slightly. Rei had her arms crossed over her chest as she watched everyone, glaring at her brother before staring at the creepy person that was now her master. Why wasn't he wishing for strange things so she could backfire it and go back to sleep? Another hundred - no, a thousand years sleeping would be better than being with this freak. And he kept smiling. Rei winced as she looked at him again, quickly turning away. Ignoring their conversation.

Hireso however was curious and blinked between the two. 'Mine'. Already a posession. They went on a for a while. The Djinn was quite entertained when the shorter of the pair asked if he desired anything. Hireso had to keep for snort-chuckling. Strange creatures. Hireso's expression turned black when the shorter of the two told the taller one to make a wish. Well damn.

"a harmless yet very humiliating and prudish family orientated dance." Hireso repeated before he closed his eyes and felt his limbs start moving. While his eyes were closed and he knew he was moving, the cackles from his sister made his cheeks go red. Yup. Humiliating for sure. It wasn't until his hands clapped that he stopped and opened his eyes, clearing his throat and looking away carefully, his hands clasped behind his back.

Rei had ignored Hal for the time being to watch her brother dance like a retarded chicken but she quickly turned back towards her master and looked down at herself and then popped a finger in her mouth and held it up into the air, "Why, yes, it is cold. Wonderful observation strange creature!" Rei reached up and patted his cheek before standing again with her arms crossed against her chest. "Are you going to wish for something or what? I hate humans, and you two - while quite deformed, are obviously some sort of human."  Hireso looked at Mal before adding his two cents "Or something,"

Rei gave a nod, "Yeah! Or something." A glare upwards and she rose an eyebrow "Well? Do it while we're young."

"We're always going to be young."

"Shut up, Hireso."

"'kay. Sorry."

Mal and Hal were not good creatures to be masters of overly powerful beings. They were...without a doubt, strange. A lot stranger then they should be.

The two watched as the strange man who had appeared from nowhere started to dance. Oh yes. It was a very humiliating sort of dance wasn't it? The two of them seemed very amused however, and looked between each other often as if sharing some unknown conversation. They were in actuality, just acting very creepy. Funny how that sort of thing worked didn't it? They were a pair of very freaky creatures.

The scathing remark from Rei was for the most part ignored. He just wondered if she was cold,s ince he didn't feel anything like that. He knew the difference sure, and he knew that he worked a tad better when it was colder. Heat made him slower to a degree, he liked the cold much better. However, he noticed that humans didn't, and some other types didn't as well.

Strange creatures.

"Human?" Mal looked to Hal, who raised an eyebrow. "She is impatient. They're always young though. You think she would be patient." Hal pointed out as they both stepped shoulder to shoulder in front of the twins. Their hands came up to their coats and pulled them apart, the belts coming undone. Both of them didn't wear shirts, though they did both wear loose black pants. Their stomachs even looked...fake in a way. They had muscular looking chests, but the 'muscles' looked fake. "We are not human." Hal said as he put a hand up to his chest and began to push. It took a few seconds but Hal managed to poke a hole in his skin and began to pull at it. Soon he was able to pull it apart, Mal starting to do the same thing. When they pulled the skin apart, they showed that they didn't have bones and organs. They had a skeletal system sure, but it was made of a strange metal, as were their inner workings. Cogs, wheels, strange belts all turned and whirred within them. "We are better." Hal grinned as he let his hands fall away. As the skin contacted itself, it seemed to melt back together. Already they were doing their coats back up.

"Well, if we're all going to live forever, I don't think we need to wish for anything soon." "Stately." "Hurried." "Timely." "Accelerated decsions?" "Acceptable." The of them grinned at each other before they looked to their new...friends.

"I am called Hal'enzera." Hal gave a bow to both of the Djinn before he let his friend bow. "I am called Mal'metheus." He told the Djinn, grinning as he stood up. "You don't like our teeth do you?" Hal asked Rei as he regarded her, his eyes upon her, grinning all the while.

"How could she not like them? They are friendly teeth." There was a placid smile from Mal as he looked to Hireso. They were strange creatures just like them. He liked that. It meant for a lot of strange...strange fun at least.

"What are we going to do now? Maybe we should continue onward, find a way out of this forest." Hal said as he started to look around, tapping his chin thoughtfully. "We should get proper clothes for Rei and Hireso. They are unfit. Hm. It will be difficult for them to walk in the forest. That is unfortunate. Can you be injured by things like sharp sticks or rocks with sharp sides?" He addressed the question to both of them, but wasn't sure if Rei would actually answer him. Not because she couldn't, but because she had stated her hate for them...while Hireso seemed a bit more relaxed.
