She listened as he spoke, amazed that his family had kept all the documents and antiques in this basement, each one holding its own past. That is...until those, whatever they were, came by and stole them all. She gritted her teeth. Stupid thieves, coming in and taking what isn't theirs. She didn't know what may have been so important with whatever was taken, but she would work with him to get it back if that was at all possible. Then again, she wouldn't really be able to help if she didn't get to know the situation a little better. Hopefully they'd all start learning about some things over tea, including Bryan.

She helped him up, trying to ignore his comment about liking her with little luck. In fact, she couldn't help but smile slightly at him. She would have to get back at him for that. But not now. Now she would help him...err go drink some tea. They found their way over to the stairs through the settling dust. When they were once again on ground level, she looked back at Bryan and laughed. He was covered from head to toe in dust and debris. She just hoped she didn't look like how he did. She wouldn't think about it though; looks were not something she really stressed over.

Once she collected herself back up, she began finding her way back to the other two people...err...creature things. As she picked her path carefully, she looked back to make sure he hadn't fallen through anymore holes in the floor. Once back on solid ground, she turned toward Bryan. "So what exactly happened? Like obviously the...boom...explosion...fire thing, but what about before that? Anything you know that would help to...I don't know, figure out why things were taken?" She shifted her bow so it was resting more against her shoulder than the middle of her back. She was trying to keep things simple, or at least as simple as possible. There were several people around and it was almost making her dizzy trying to keep track of everyone.

She took atop one of the tables, taking into account that it may explode underneath her (an unfortunate event, but one she wouldn't let bother her). Once she checked it, she hopped up and folded her legs pretzel style and leaned forward to look at the rest of the people. Right now, there were two things on her mind: Figuring out what exactly was going on with this man and catching up on the lack of sleep she had. And the longer she sat there, the better the second thought seemed.

The dark elf was still there when he came back up and as horrid as it would sound the girl probably knew a lot more about this. Clenching the crystal ball in his hand, not a large object, like the kind children tossed around and played with. This particular one would be very useful for this kind of situation as it recorded every event that has ever happened in its presence.

Sitting down on the table and he quickly found both a can with boiling water and edible tea herbs had indeed been brought. His hands worked quickly, pouring tea to himself and spicing the hot water with whatever was available, leaving the crystal ball on the table while blowing on the freshly poured cup of tea, waiting for it to be cool enough to drink from.

There was that horrible tearing sound, yet awfully familiar and it did indeed originate from his basement, directly underneath him.

"Great." Bryan exclaimed slightly annoyed, hoping it had not been invoked in anger, angry portals where the worst to deal with.

Within the basement, a black hole had started to fill the floor, and a rising black cloud of darkness with red eyes and no real shape had appeared oozing out from it. Drums could be heard from the deep as shadowy creatures of unknown origin made their way trough, smaller ones at first but then giant tentacles paved way, seeking anything living nearby as they located the live essence of a Kirikiri. Instantly Four tentacles shot out from the cloud intent on wrapping themselves around her as something large tried to make its way trough the unfinished gate.

It took A'shi a moment to register just what she'd done.

Actually, she still wasn't sure, but whatever she'd knocked over had opened some kind of portal to somewhere she wouldn't like to be, and some sort of weird tentacle creatures were trying to climb out. Also, she was no good at exorcism magic.

Which wasn't much information, but it was enough. Her subconscious reflexes took over, and she snarled at the tentacles, spreading her wings in a display of aggression. One of them, acting as if it had a mind of its own (which wasn't entirely impossible, given as it was a tentacle blob from another dimension) snapped out at her, and she barely had a chance to jump into the air before it hit the ground where she'd been standing.

The floor melted. Not that it mattered much, since it was the basement, but it meant that she definitely wanted to avoid getting hit by one of those things. Conveniently enough, the rest of the tentacle blobs decided to follow the first's lead, and the air became a mass of dark matter, most of which seemed hell-bent on her destruction. It was all A'shi could do to stay in the air and pray to all seven of her gods that the blobs didn't decide to cooperate with each other.

A near miss sheared off the two primaries on her right wing--not a major loss, but enough to throw off her flight and knock her to the ground. Scuttling along the ground to the basement stairs, zigzagging wildly to dodge the opportunistic tentacles slashing at the floor, she noticed with some relief that the whatever-they-were didn't seem to be very bright; they didn't seem to be able to tell that she'd left.

Looking at the other occupant of the stairwell, she asked Brian, "So, do you know what those things are? Do you know how to get rid of them?"

Rel felling the rip in the dimensions ran to the hole in the floor that was made earlier by his host and yelled "Keep them away from the exits if they get out we will have a lot more trouble out here than in there!" then he started to summon his elemental to keep the dark blobs at bay. 'Fire, blessed fire protect me from my enemies. burn them, scorch them turn them to dust'

In that instant a large fire elemental appeared in the middle of the dark mass and in the entry burnt and singed about 5 or 6 of them as another 10 flew across the room. When the dark beings noticed their comrades being killed they immediately surged towards the Elemental "Yes I will obey master Relyks Firestarter, as long as you wish!" as it rushed forward towards the creatures while Rel threw balls of wizard fire (liquid fire) at the mass and dark hole

"HURRY keep them down if we don't we are all doomed!" yelling to the others still having tea. But seeing he was focusing on the enemy it came out more of a demand then a plea for help
