The days were almost unbearably warm now, with summer upon them. Even in the lower reaches of the mountains, where the walled off nunnery in which they stayed sat, it was uncomfortably hot.
Heedless of the temperature, Sakkata lay out in a patch of grass near the wall, her pale blue skin reflecting most of the sunlight, and the airy white dress she wore reflecting a bit more, so that she did not feel particularly uncomfortable even at mid-day. As for the dress, it had been a forced wardrobe change - the women here all wore dresses, and so there was not much of an abundance of anything else. A small price to pay for food and shelter though, in the long run.
And as for her laying out in the sun quietly...well, she was avoiding a certain someone. At the moment it was rather easy to avoid him to be honest, as he was bedridden...which was, ah, entirely her fault.

Just a week ago now, she'd had her heat. And for a full seven days, she hadn't really given Hatame much...er...'rest'.
And she'd been...um...rather....over-amorous...during their times together and, ah...now Hatame was sporting some new...'love marks' as it were.

Sakkata hide her face against her arms as she lay there on her stomach. That was too mortifying to even think about...it wasn't even that she'd, well, actually had sex with someone like Hatame (which was rather hard to even wrap her brain around by itself!) but she'd been completely out of her right mind! She'd said and done ridiculous, embarrassing things! And she'd really hurt him...in the end, that bothered her the most...it wasn't her own embarrassment or shame that got to her, but the fact she'd done physical harm to Hatame. And not her usual 'lashing out from anger' sort that made Hatame laugh even as he winced - she might actually have given Hatame scars from this!

And then...there was the other thing. Even worse than trying to face Hatame after everything else, she had...some news for him. And considering Hatame's previously ridiculous 'free lovin' sort of personality...she wasn't entirely sure how to go about breaking it to him.
Honestly, she was tempted not to tell him at all! She could even push it off for a few more months but...even then....eventually he'd notice the rather obvious signs. Dammit, this was such an uncomfortable situation! All of it! From apologizing for her 'feral behavior' to telling Hatame something that was life-altering - all of it was on the bottom of Sakkata's 'wants to do' list!
She could only hide for so long though...Hatame had been healing up for a full week now, and eventually he'd just get up and go find her. And it wasn't as though she really wanted to hide from him really...nothing was resolved with silence...dammit but that didn't make talking any easier to do!

(*DIES* God writing her after so long is haaaaard @_@)
