A snowy night was one of the nicer nights in the Thunderblacks. It was cold, and that meant a lot of dragons were in caves sleeping for the time being. How unusual it was to see snow in summer, but this was the snow capped mountains. It was a bit different up here usually. Especially toward a mountain with a crude skull carved into the side of it. The lair of a half Demon King just waiting for something to come along and pique his interest. He'd already killed one of his servants outside and saw the beautiful pattern the cold red blood made as it froze into the snow and the reflection of the moonlight upon it made...but now he was feeling...bored.
No...not bored. Just...restless. As he stood on the balcony over looking the peaks and and valleys of the mountain range, he could only sigh at the strange lovely sight. Other Demons might hate this place...but he loved it. Especially with all that pure fresh snow fallen everywhere. Just waiting to be defiled...like the land he dwelt in now.
The dark skinned man with the one broken horn upon his head only chuckled as he turned to see someone walking up to him. One of his dark red robed servants holding a tie up robe was approaching him. "My lord, please wear this, we can not risk you getting sick." The servant said as he offered the robe to the tall lithe figure before him. He wore nothing at the moment, he was training his body in the cold weather, how it tried to protect him from the cold but...he was a Demon of Hell. He should be able to master such things! His tail flicked behind him irritably as he accepted the robe however and slipped it some, barely tying it up at the front. He was feeling the chill to some degree...but he didn't want to appear weak.
"And master Zekyllot, some of the wards have gone off near the perimeter of the tunnel again, something larger than a rabbit this time. Do you want us to dispatch a couple of guards to investigate?" The servant asked the black haired master before him. Zek rubbed his chin thoughtfully as he considered this. "Yes, I think that would be wise. Send a detachment of four to retrieve whatever it is. If it's humanoid, bring it to the dungeon, if it's just another animal, take it to the cook." Zek commanded as he strode inside with the servant, heading now toward the dungeon. Either he would get some nice entertainment, or he'd get a nice meal out of it. Or possibly both depending.
And so, exiting from the tunnel were four bulky shapes, men in robes and heavy metals, each armed with wicked looking swords or large halberds. Each one had eyes like a nocturnal creature, shining even in the dim light a bright golden colour as they stalked to find their prey. Which wasn't heart, when they found something wrapped in a woollen cloak against a rock. "Master will be happy, it's entertainment." One of the hooded servants hissed quietly. Each of them surrounded the person as best they could, the two with the halberds placing the weapons close to the woman, while a third lightly slapped her side with the flat of his blade. "Wake up knave!"
