Juno

The desert had been harsh to him, but Merik persevered to arrive now along the outskirts of the jungle. A great expanse, he hoped that he would not get lost among the sea of green, having never been here alone. He begins his trek with confidence, thinking he can easily find what he is searching for, make a quick exit, and get the hell back to the safety and comfort of his own home.

Dressed in dark brown pants, his brand new boots and a teal tunic beneath his simple, black cloak, Merik set off deeper into the jungle in search of the precious fruits he had his sights on.

After a few hours of the suffocating humidity, Merik realized he probably should have brought different types of clothes for his transition from the sand to the trees. He was almost in physical pain from how hot his current attire kept him. Thoroughly uncomfortable, he grumbled to himself occasionally while stubbornly refusing to take off his cloak or loosen any of his clothing.

He didn't want to admit that he was outright lost at the moment, but he was having his doubts about his direction. I feel like I've seen that rock a few times already....Are you going in circles?!

Pressing onward, he refused to give up the better thoughts that he was just imagining things.
