Aki was not expecting that. A pie to the face? Maybe. But there was no pie and after several encounters, the boy had just been lucky that there were other people about. A knee to the groin, though? He didn't actually expect the boy to fight back.

So down he went like a sack of bricks, a strangled groan of pain escaping him as clutched himself and curled up on the floor. In those moments Jovan ceased to exist until nothing remained but the sheer agony, because that boy might be weak but he delivered one mean kick.

Jovan hadn't expected that to work so well and spent a moment just staring at the writing Aki before his brain kicked in and he ran for the door, clawing at the lock in an attempt to open it. There was no fucking way he was staying in a room with that monster!

Jovan bolted, and Aki snarled and shoved himself onto his hands and knees. He was still in pain, making it difficult for him to straighten up, but he was also pissed now and that made it a little easier to ignore the pain. Every instinct screamed for him to chase him.

In an instant he shifted, the transition between shapes almost seamless. One moment he was a human, and the next he was a shaggy black wolf trapped in human clothing that he had to pause to shake and kick off. But it was only a brief delay; moments later and he was bounding after Jovan, claws clacking on the floor.

He caught Jovan by the back of his shirt and yanked hard, throwing him back onto the floor before he pinned him, large paws on his shoulders and muzzle in his face, teeth bared. "And where do you think you're going?"

Jovan almost pissed himself when a huge wolf suddenly jumped on him. He screamed again, clawing at the door to try and get away, but he wasn't strong enough to resist. His arms came up to cover his face, trembling violently, "Oh gods! Don't kill me!"

Jovan's reaction was very, very satisfying. It appealed to every predatory instinct within him and for a moment it was tempting to let it take over, to lock his jaws onto his throat and taste his blood.

But he wasn't really a rabbit, much as his animal features confused him and no matter how much he teased him; he was a human, and that had never interested him. They were too similar to his kind and that was why he came to the cities in the first place, why he blended in with them, why he enjoyed them, because they were the pack he no longer had and was trying to rebuild.

But that didn't mean he couldn't revel a little in the power trip, especially after all the stupid rabbit had put him through.

His lips stretched back in a wolfish grin. "And why shouldn't I? What will you do if I spare your life?"

"Anything!" Jovan's voice cracked in fear, his heart beating dangerously fast, his body twitching rapidly in the urge to run for his life. His pink eyes stared up at Aki and he could feel his vision starting to spin. This was terrifying in a way he had never, ever dealt with before.

"Like?" Aki said, leaning down and slowly licking up one of Jovan's ears. "You're not making a very convincing case."

That lick was too much. Jovan's eyes rolled up into his head and his body went limp. He had fainted, unable to handle the raw terror of the wolf.

Well. That was...disappointing.

With a small sigh, Aki sat down and stared at the unconscious Jovan as though willing him to wake up. He was just not any fun when he wasn't doing things.

Oh well. Like any good predator he was very patient.

However, for the sake of Jovan not passing out again, he shifted back to human form while he waited.

It didn't take too long before Jovan gave a groan, pale eyes fluttering open. He stared up at the ceiling, confused for a moment before everything came rushing back at him. Jerking upright, his eyes feel on Aki and he squealed in alarm, "GET OUT! MONSTER! HEEEEELP!"

His patience paid off; people didn't generally stay passed out from fright for long. As soon as he caught signs of Jovan stirring, Aki snapped his attention back to him and waited like a cat waiting for the mouse to poke its head outside its hole.

And then Jovan jerked up and started his squealing again, making Aki wince.

Reaching out quickly, he grabbed Jovan and yanked him against him, one hand clapping over his mouth to shut him up while he leaned in close to one velvety ear. "A monster, am I?" he said, and lightly bit the tip of his ear. "Funny you'd call me that. I seem to recall you being very...excited when first we met."

Jovan's ear twitched rapidly against Aki, his breathing rapid and his heart pounded so hard against his chest he felt like it might burst. He gave a small whimper, shaking his head and shrinking back from the dark wolf.
