All around the Dark Mage Village, night had settled in with its sweet, sweet darkness. The darkness itself seemed to be fitting for such a place as the Dark Mage Village was, and indeed seemed to have formed a certain character around here.. sinister.. easy to hide in.. something that can make one realize how very alone one was, and also rather paranoid about eyes on the back of one's neck.

Kanina had never before been to the Dark Mage Village, and she decided that now was as good a time as any to make a trip.

Her new apprentice, Aerin, had flatly refused to go anywhere near this place, and had actually tried, and failed, to convince Kanina from going here. They had parted in rather hasty, rash words, and Aerin was now probably somewhere far away from the Dark Mage Village.

Kanina, however, had come to the Dark Mage Village, and was now a slightly lighter, dark thing riding on another slightly lighter, dark thing. She was wearing a black cloak (original, I know!), and underneath, had tight-but-not-restricting-her-movement-tight fitting black pants, and a sleeveless zipped black top, with another, lighter brown sleeveless top underneath. Strapped across her back lay her trusty Katana, which was her absolutely last resort in a fight, as she was more of a mage than a fighter.

The thing that she rode on was a member of the Lyrci race (see sig for info), coming complete with two slender plate-like horns that curved back into a blunt tip, straight from the back of the head and the facial plate. It's feet possessed claws that could semi-contract, and it's tail resembled that of a lion's. Other than that, it appeared very horse-like.

She looked around as she rode through the quite streets of the village, listening too a far off disturbance of drunken yelling, before the sound of a door being slammed was heard. A cough, a laugh, and then silence again. The whole setting seemed rather.. expectant, somehow.. as if it were waiting for something to happen. Perhaps it was always like this.. She wouldn't be the one to know..

After all, she's never been here before.
