The Legion is a literal legion of soldiers from an ancient empire. During a battle against their barbarian foes, the entire legion was turned to stone by the gods, who were angered with them. This curse of stone lasted for many years, and was only recently broken, turning what had once been stone back into flesh. As they have yet to realize that their empire has fallen, and that many centuries have passed since their battle, the Legion wanders the lands, from Connlaoth to Serendipity, fighting impromptu wars against the "barbarians".
