Astral's legs and tail where wrapped around a branch. She was sleeping upside down with her wings covering her front side and her far most tail fin covering her face to keep the sun out. Astral woke up to sun shining through her tail. She gave a glare that wasn't aimed at anything. She was groggy and felt really annoyed. The last few days she hadn't been able to sleep. Every time she tried she would wake up from a nightmare. The same nightmare the appeared over and over again. In the dream she was stuck against a wall fully human. She couldn't move and was forced to watch as her father was killed by humans and her mother taking off. Then the blue eyed man would appear laughing in her face. His face was always a little different for some reason but he always had that brown hair and blue eyes. "You're next" he would say to her and suddenly her ribs would feel like their breaking all over again. That's when she would wake up. For some reason she was able to sleep during the night though. The Nightmares wouldn't bother her then. A day time scheduled was against her nature though and it made her very irritable.
Astral let her grip on the tree branch go and she landed on the ground. She walked over to a nearby lake and looked at her reflection. Still no changes. She was beginning to accept that she was going to be stuck this way no matter how much she hated it. Astral considered looking for Icyck. He didn't tell her if he knew of a way to get rid of her dragon heritage which she couldn't believe she ever wanted. Perhaps he would be more inclined to tell her how to get rid of her humans side if he knew of a way. Astral figured it was worth a shot, but she wasn't in the mood to go looking for him at the moment.
One of Astral's frills on her head twitched. She could hear something rustling some bushes not far away. Astral opened her wings half way ready to take off into the sky at any moment. She waited to see who or what it was.
