Xana indeed, was close. She knew the man had been tracking her. After all, this wasn't the first time she had escaped. Actually, she was rather a Houdini. Of course when you know if you don't escape you are going to slowly die, you figure out how to escape.
She knew better than to venture close to him. She was hungry, but her freedom was worth much more than the food he had. She was fed better scraps at her captors home actually. This was going to be played out like a delicate chess game, one where her life hung in the balance. She let out a slow sigh. Of course, she would never just be left in peace.
A grin curl across Xana's face. She couldn't deny her nature and naturally Faeries were tricksters, she was no different.
Xana looked around, checking her cover and all available escape routes. The man hunting her was a very big man. She knew that if he got his hands on her she was as good as done for. She sat in a tree, her feet dangling from the branch. She knew if it really came down to it she could fly, she would just have to hope he didn't have anything to throw at her.
The temptation of the resting man began to grow to much for her, she had to do something. She reached her hand out, a faint green glow began to admit from her palm. Slowly vines began to grow across the forest floor. She smiled as she mentally pictured the man with his feet tied together with the vines, then the man, who stood like a tower, falling. It was hard to restrain her giggles at the mental image.
