Raven smiled as she watched the girl now. She was going to waited only a few more moments. Though she had to admit that she was still hurting from that cold blast. She now creeps even closer watching her every move. Without turning visible she swung her sword towards willow. She hopped that she would hit her this time.

Meanwhile Ventra was frowning as she watched the battle before her. She was not certain how she could help. She now looked at willow as she edged out of the brush.

Having loosened some of her hold on the shadows, the night spirit heard the whoosh of a sword a split second too late. The ghostly blade struck her side, but only dealt minimal damage as the shield was still partially up around her. Willow hissed in pain as the tip of it pierced her body, just above her hip. A burning like the grave itself filled her being and she glared at where she thought the ghost to be.

Summoning the shadows, she enhanced them to form a large black shroud that encompassed the area they were in, rendering it in total darkness, making any and all light vanish. In turn, Willow made the shadows grow tighter together, to hopefully strangle any ghost within their depths.

Raven watched the other woman as her sword went into her shadowy veil. She smiled darkly as she heard her give a hiss. It seemed that she had hit her target . That pleader the ghost greatly. She saw her glare at her and started to quietly move away. She did not want to be hit by any more attacks. She had learned her lesson by being hit by the woman's first attack.

The ghost then frowned as she saw the shadows around her grow darker. That was kind of scary for her though she still did not reveal herself. Now being a ghost she no longer breathed air. She was just there. So trying to strangle her would not really effect her. Though the feeling of the shadows growing tighter made her feel like that she could not move. Though she struggled to get free she could not. She still remained invisible so that she would not be seen.

Willow continued to draw the shadows tighter and tighter around the area, making them seem near solid. Well as solid as darkness could be. It would most likely be very uncomfortable for any mad ghost caught in its grasp. The night spirit hoped to scare the black-haired ghost away. Failing that, she would have to try a new tactic.

Raven fowned as the shadows grew tighter. At the moment she could not leave if she wanted to. She was trapped by the shadows . She sayed invisible and made sure to be very quiet untill she was sure that she thought that she was gone. Then she would make her next move.

Finally satisfied with the tightness of the shadowy prison, Willow listened carefully for any sound or sense of movement. While normally solid magical shadows would trap most caught within them, Willow was not entirely sure what effect they would have on something incorporeal like a ghost, not to mention non-living. And of course being a spirit herself, Willow was only partially corporeal, being one with the night and all.

With no sounds to be heard from her attacker, Willow could only continue to listen though truth be told, she was growing rather weary of this needless battle. What the ghost hoped to accomplish here, she didn't know. It was past midnight, around three in the morning according to mortal standards of time-keeping. Willow herself just knew it to still be nighttime, her domain of choice. Any longer and Willow thought she may have to cut her visit to the mortal plane short and return back to the plane of night, her home. And unless the ghost was attuned to the night and the darkness in general, she would not be able to follow. And Willow found that comforting. Still, she waited hoping that the ghost had left while still maintaining her hold on the shadows, albeit not as much as before.

As she stood there the ghost felt her persona change. He better lighter persona was coming out. As that happened she turned visible. Then she just kind of shimmer then collapsed. That was what happened when her better half felt too much stress. She did not like fighting anyone.

As she laid there her form turned solid.  She went back to her human form. She was weakened and could not hold her ghostly form any longer. Now she was the mercy of this girl

When the ghost suddenly appeared and then collapsed, Willow was startled and loosened her hold on the shadows completely. She was even more surprised when the ghost began to turn solid, almost looking human and alive in that moment. One thing was for certain. This was no ordinary ghost.

Unsure what to do now, as Willow did not wish to harm her needlessly if she didn't have to. She wasn't the one who started the fight in the first place. She was merely fighting her out of self-defense. Stepping closer to the fallen girl, Willow stared down in confusion. She wasn't sure if the girl would wake up soon or not, or if she would be content to finish what she started.

Willow then remembered the eagle and started looking around for the bird. Not because she was concerned about it, just merely curious to know if it had decided to stick around or not.

Raven remained still as she lied there. It would take a few moments for her to recover. It was just what happened when she got really weakened. One thing that could be noted was the fact that this form did not breath like a human. She longer needed that to live. She moved slightly but then got still again.

Mean while Ventra looked out from the bushes that she was hiding in. she was not real sure what had happened to make the fight stop. Then she saw the ghost in her new form laying there. She looked at willow now. " is she alright, and are you alright?" she  asked softly looking between her and the ghostly female.

Seeing the eagle come out from the bushes, Willow then looked back toward the ghost woman still lying on the ground. The night spirit frowned, still confused as to what had happened. This visit had turned into something she didn't care to repeat. She had hoped for a quiet night of peace from her worries and this hadn't helped any.

To 'answer' the bird's question, Willow commented, "She is not a normal ghost." Frowning again at the puzzle presented before her. While Willow herself was not entirely corporeal being a spirit and all, she was pretty certain that the dead spirits of people who had yet to move on to wherever it is mortals went to when they died were supposed to be completely incorporeal. Or at least that was what she had thought. This Raven Darkheart had some mysteries surrounding her that Willow wasn't sure about. The girl continued to lay there as Willow kept staring at her in confusion.

Turning to Ventra finally, Willow touched the black and gray choker around her neck, before looking around her at the dark woods. The spirit of night longed to wander some more in silent contentment and away from this mad ghost. She wouldn't mind the company if Ventra decided to join her. Maybe she could find some peace tonight after all. Over the many centuries Willow had had very few friends, the most recent one she had had having been Cassie. That was before she was brutally murdered by Dawn's Light.

Anger began to fill her heart at this thought, as she looked back at the black-haired 'ghost'. For a split second of eternity, Willow had thought that maybe Raven and herself would have had something in common, being lost and wandering as they were, Willow because of her friend's death, and the ghost seeking her own kind of comfort in the cold embrace of death. But the latter proved to be too vicious, too violent. Willow didn't like it. The golden-brown eagle on the other hand told a different tale.

Willow had lingered here long enough and began to make her way to another part of the forest, wondering if the eagle would follow her. She wished not to stay in this part of the woods any longer.
