His hide shook and rippled and his eyes blew wide as he turned to stare at her again, slightly startled by the sudden sound of laughter though he hadn't wanted to admit to it. It was a pleasant sound, he decided. She sounded happy and he settled again soon enough.
'Yes...' The word came slowly, as if he'd still been pondering that very question. She looked excited, though, and he relaxed as he realized her question was not a challenge but simply an eagerness to see him make good on his promise.
'If you would like to learn,' he added cheerily, trying his best to show the smile in his eyes that he couldn't exactly show with a mouth full of sharp teeth.
'Do not be discouraged if it takes more than a day to feel...comfortable, though. These things take time but you can learn,' Yan warned her gently, hoping she would not be disappointed if it took even a few more than that.
