Physical Description
Tanned and well muscled from years of being an outdoors-man, Elyan can be rather intimidating when one first meets him- this impression isn't exactly dispelled when he starts talking with a low, gravelly voice. Part of it is natural, but the other part is a result of the scarring from a bite across his throat. His hair is layered in shades of chestnut and russet, his eyes gold-flecked green.

He tends to favor sturdy and practical clothing, comfort coming second and fashion not really even a factor.

Personality
Though he's kind of a hulking figure, Eli is actually a fairly sweet man. He tries not to show that side of himself, keeping up a gruff, sarcastic exterior. However, on the rare occasions that he opens up to someone he proves to be kind, caring, and sometimes even funny.

Magic/Abilities
Eli can take wolf form at will, but at the full moon becomes more stereotypical "werewolf", an anthropomorphic beast with practically no mind, driven entirely by instinct.

Relationships
Once upon a time, his family and the people of his small mountain village. Now, a few contacts who give him jobs now and then and some scattered friend-acquaintances.

History
Elyan lived a rather typical life for a hunter from a small village at the foot of the Thunderblacks until her was fifteen. While out on a hunt, he was attacked by what he assumed was a feral wolf. He nearly bled out, but by some miracle he managed to drag himself back to his village.

For almost a week he was confined to a bed with fever and a near paralyzing weakness. When he finally came out of it, he somehow felt better than ever- stronger, with better senses even. Everything seemed like it had miraculously worked out.

Until the wolves came. The animal that had attacked him had actually been a member of a pack of werewolves. Outliers of their kind, these werewolves were caught somewhere between animal and human, the wolf instinct tempered by a distinctly human rage and lust for blood. Claiming Elyan as one of their own, they tried to take him away.

When he refused, they slaughtered the entire village.

Understandably, Eli has problems trusting his own kind- but because of this, he never learned to control his new self. He's spent about half his life constantly moving, always afraid to put down roots, afraid to form real relationships because he thinks he'll wind up hurting someone.
