Here we go...  Back at the main office with the Headmaster...  Amethyst wasn’t feeling to happy right about now.  Her and Heather were scuffed and they made their way upstairs with the Instructor.  Not this woman again...  The three women arrived at the secretary's desk and Heather was told to take a seat while Amethyst and Cadence saw the Headmaster.  Amethyst almost rolled her eyes as she was told to step inside.

"Welcome...again..." The Headmistress spoke.  She looked Amethyst over and shook her head with an exaggerated sigh.  "My, my..." She looked up at the clock and then back at Amethyst.  "So soon?  I should have you punished for the commotion you started, but, I think someone did a better job of making things clear to you." She smirked.  She leaned forward and placed her elbows on the desk, her hands in front of her face, holding a pencil horizontally between her fingers.  She rolled the pencil, looking smugly at Amethyst. "Well?  What do you have to say for yourself? Hmm?"

Amethyst couldn't even bring herself to look at the Headmistress's eyes as she stood before her, not taking a seat in front of the desk.  She frowned, staring at the desk.  She was silent at first, being beaten down with verbal abuse again.  What the hell should she say??  The room was quiet now, and the spotlight on her.  Her hands trembled slightly at her sides as she kept her eyes away.  "I-I have nothing to say..." She hesitated, her heart racing nervously.

It was quiet for another drawn out moment before the Headmistress spoke again.  "I see." She glanced over at Cadence.  "Are you sure you have nothing else? Nothing at all?  " She pushed at Amethyst lightly wit her words, trying to get at least a little out of her. An apology, an explanation, a threat, anything at all.

Amethyst was silent again, forcing herself to keep her mouth shut.

Cadence looked between the headmistress and her new student and cleared her throat, "If she doesn't have anything to say, could I at least get her name?  Her arrival was unexpected enough.  It would be nice to know what to call her."  She wasn't any more excited about coming here than the two she'd escorted.  It would be best for her to return to the classroom, even if the day was mostly over by now.

Outside the door of the office, Heather waited patiently for her turn with the disciplinarian.  She didn't relish the thought, but knew it wasn't as bad as all that.  Standing unwaveringly, like a soldier must, she nudged at her slightly swollen lip with a free hand.

Anonymous

The Headmistress looked at Cadence when she spoke, and then raised an eyebrow at Amethyst.  Another moment of silence while she waited for the girl, but nothing came.  She snapped her pencil down on the desk in front of Amethyst's eyes in an attempt to get her attention.

She got Amethyst's attention all right.  Distracted in her own worries, Amethyst was taken off guard by the pencil snapping.  She flinhed and blinked, her ears tipping back.  "A-amethyst...!  A-ame (Ahmei) for short...!" she said softly in surprise.  Then she felt stupid for flinching at something so stupid.

The headmistress had her laugh.  She smiled and almost giggled at Amethyst's reaction, finding it to be very amusing.  This little hard ass had the realization of her life and was still in shock by it.  Wow, she would definitely need this school for her own benefit if she realized it or not. She needed to be shown that the world didn’t revolve around her.  "Good girl." She told Amethyst.  She could have said much more appropriate things, but this was military school and the girl needed top be treated like a dog. "Now then, I'm sure we've come to an understanding, yes?"

Amethyst nodded a little.

"Ahem?" The Headmistress rolled her pencil again.

"Y-yes ma'am...!" Amethyst said in her currently soft voice.

"Good.  Now, You will obey your Instructor." She pointed to Cadence. "I don’t want to head any more problems with you.  I will not tolerate it.  Now..." She remembered how Amethyst looked at the moment. "...Go use the locker room showers.  Someone will bring you a uniform to change into.  I don’t want you walking all the way across campus looking the way you are.  Fights aren’t uncommon, but I would like to keep this clean.  Now go.  Ill have an escort for you downstairs." She shooed Amethyst off with a hand gesture.

"Y-yes ma'am..." Amethyst turned and went on her way, passing Heather without even a glance.

"Now, bring Heather in."  The Headmistress called out.  "She may have had her reasons, but she was out of line with her temper." She told Cadence before calling someone to meet Amethyst.

Between the interval Amethyst left and Heather entered, Cadence got her new student's file from the headmistress.  As Heather walked in, she looked over the papers in the folder.  Amethyst Takigawa, was it?  She didn't so much enjoy the breaking of the rowdy students, but it could be thought of as such.  She preferred to think of it as reforming them into a useful entity for efficient use by the kingdom.  Heather had been a little disruptive, if she wasn't still in terms of temper, but she had always been a dedicated member of her class.  She lacked in the mental areas, but excelled in all the physical.  Amethyst apparently did both, but didn't stand a chance for someone who, by no fault of their own, could really only shine at one of them.

Heather stood before her teacher and the headmistress with an impassive, if not totally bored, look on her face.  She waited for the seemingly mandatory speech about discipline.

Anonymous

Discipline huh?  The Headmistress just smirked, rolling her pencil as her eyes followed Heather.  A long moment f silence passed, broken by a sigh and the Headmistress leaned back in her chair.  "You know why you're here, I take it?  This isn’t the first time I warned you about your temper.  Did you ever think about what would happen if you accidentally killed her?  Which, I hear that in the normal case, she would have died were it not for an unexpected resilience from her." She paused to let the information sink in.  She didn't fear any of the students.  She was, however, uncomfortable with the look Heather gave her and stared back with just as powerful a presence if not extremely greater.  The Headmistress was pretty Damned intimidating.  "All this over a measly insult no less." She remarked.  "If this happens again, I will see to your punishment personally.  Now tell me, what do you have to say?" She waited for Heather's story.

Anonymous

Not entirely concerned about the situation, Heather told the headmistress her side of the story, mostly about being insulted and choosing to teach the new girl a lesson she would have gotten eventually anyway.  Cadence told her the "new girl's" name was Amethyst, and that the lesson wasn't hers to teach.  The instructors were in charge of discipline.  Heather nodded and apologized blankly, then saluted and said she was finished speaking.  Cadence deferred to the headmistress.

Anonymous

The headmistress sighed and leaned back again.  "All right then." She looked her over as she did Amethyst. "You hit the showers as well.  Looks like your 'lesson' didn’t go without a hitch." She grinned. "I don't want you walking across campus like that.  I told this to Amethyst as well.  Speaking of the poor girl, I told her to hit the showers already.  If you like, you can go now, if you're comfortable with being around her after this 'incident'.  Or you can wait until she's finished.  It's up to you.  I really don’t care either way.  I just thought I'd give you a heads up." She explained.  "No go.  Get out of here." She shooed Heather off with another hand gesture.

Amethyst sat outside where her guide met her and then walked her to the showers.  Amethyst chose to make no conversation and thought to herself as they walked.  Crap...there was a public shower...  This made Amethyst all the more uncomfortable.  Once there, the guide left her alone with a towel and told her that she would return with a uniform waiting.  Amethyst just nodded and waited for the girl to leave.  Good, no class was currently here.  She sighed in relief and began to undress.  She walked into the showers and looked around, still paranoid of others being there.  She may have been okay with flaunting her figure, but complete nudity wasn't her thing.  She couldn’t be seen without any clothes.  She was too shy.

Once relaxed enough, she picked a showerhead behind the wall where the doorway was and turned it on.  She stood there under the running water, unbothered by the cold, and thought.  After soaking her hair, tears streamed down her face and her body shivered.  Soon she collapsed to her knees, and then slid till her bottom was on the floor tiles.  She clutched her nails at the tile with her head lowered, crying.  The poor girl had completely broken down.  She started yelling in a whisper to herself about her parents and then about being scared.  She apologized repeatedly and said she wanted to go home.  Anything was better than being here...

When the "meeting" was over, Cadence took her leave to return to class.  Of course, she'd be dismissing it shortly after she got there.  This was all a bit more lively method to finish off a day that she was used to.

Heather shrugged at the information that she'd be running into the new girl, excuse her, Amethyst, if she went to the showers.  It didn't bother her in the least.  She left the office.  As she moped through the halls on the way to the public showers, she thought for a bit.  She could just go to her room to take a shower, but the headmistress had made a point to mention the public ones.  She figured that was her subtle hint to get in some kind of apology before they saw each other in class again the next day.

When she entered the showers, she heard the telltale sounds of falling water and splashing drops.  Upon further exposure, however, Heather could hear suppressed sobs.  Sneaking conspiratorially toward the source, she peeked around the corner into one of the stalls.  Amethyst's back was to her, so she couldn't see Heather, and it was definitely Amethyst as evidenced by the large black splotch on her back.  Heather couldn't hear anything distinct, but was more than sure the girl was crying about something.  Blushing, Heather left the sitting form of the girl she'd assaulted only a short time earlier.  She tried to pretend she hadn't heard anything and started to make more noise outside.  She chose a stall further away from Amethyst's, stripped out of her uniform, and began to wash up.  Her own running water muffled any more sounds that Amethyst would have been making, but Heather would know when the other girl had left.  She planned on taking an extra long soak in the pouring water, fully expecting Amethyst to leave long before she would.  She just didn't feel like apologizing just yet.  That would make it more awkward for the next day.  It'd been just perfect that Amethyst had chosen the seat behind her.  She hoped Cadence would move her instead of assigning the empty spot to her permanently.

Amethyst heard the commotion and was startled.  She scrambled to her feet just about when Heather walked past.  She saw heather, and turned away, hiding her bare body shyly.  Crap!  What was SHE doing here??!  Amethyst quickly put her head under the running water again, and hid her crying.  Heather continued to walk, entering a stall a good distance away.  Amethyst sighed quietly in relief; her tense body relaxing and she lowered her arms, un-hiding herself.  She still trembled though.  It showed in her hands.  She had to get out of there.  Now.  Amethyst quickly began washing herself and then rinsed.  One clear of the dirt and blood, she left the stall and grabbed a towel, glancing back at Heather before leaving to the lockers.  Heather didn’t see her crying, did she?? No, she just barged in. She couldn’t have.

Amethysts clothes were bagged and a fresh uniform awaited her, her guide leaning against the lockers.  The guide smiled at her and waited for her to get dressed.  Craap...  Amethyst frowned slightly, looking away from the girl and continued to dry off the rest of the water, trying not to show her body.  The girl could tell what was going on, but just waited anyway.

"Normally, I'd leave, but, yer gunna have to get used to it.  There's no special privileges that let you shower alone.  Oh, and there's no separate genders." The guide stated.

Amethyst frowned more.  She finished drying and turned away from the girl.  This wasn’t something she liked to do in front of people.  She dug through the bag and picked out three little patches of clothing.  They were still clean.  She then put them on, nervous that the girl was watching.  One strip below, down her crotch, and then one on each breast.  They stuck to her skin easily and flexed well.  They were like a very skimpy bathing suit or underwear.  Now that they were on, Amethyst felt much more relieved with her direct privates covered.  She then unfolded the uniform, and put it on.  She slipped on her boots and then stood, looking down at herself.  It was actually comfortable for such covering clothes.

"Okay then, I'll take you to yer room. Follow me." The guide left.

Amethyst grabbed the bag with her clothes and followed.  They were back outside and she felt less stared at, now blending in with the crowd.  The Advanced students' rooms were practically across the campus...  After the long walk, hey were indoors again.  They walked down the hall and to one of the doors with a number Amethyst would have to remember.  She was let in and the guide left, greeting her off.  She closed the door and sat on the lower bunk.  It looked like she had a rommie.  She'd prefer the top bunk anyway.  With a sigh, she looked down at her suitcase by the closet and tossed the bag over at it.  Amethyst then looked around at the personal belongings of her roommate.  It was a girl, she assumed.  She got up and wandered over to the table where some paperwork and little trinkets were put out.  Her eyes wandered around the room and she sighed again.  Sitting back down on the bed, she fell back on the bottom bunk and cupped her hands over her eyes and just layed there.

Even over the sound of the water pounding against her skull, Heather could hear the exit of Amethyst.  It was obvious from the sudden ceasing of the other shower.  Still, Heather wanted that long shower, and she stayed for a while.  Eventually, she'd soaked in as much hot water as she felt like she wanted to handle, so she toweled off and got dressed.  Class was probably over by now, so she didn't see a problem with just going back to her room.

As for Amethyst, if she were paying any attention at all, she would notice doors opening and closing outside her room, indicating that other students were returning to their rooms.  It was nearly 20 minutes later before she heard the door to her room being opened.  It swung open to reveal Heather.

Not immediately noticing the person in her room, Heather stripped out of her uniform top, leaving her in the undershirt.  When she tossed it over the rail of the bottom bunk, she stopped.  There was Amethyst.  What was she doing here?  Then it hit her.  She hadn't even thought about it before.  That's what her temper did in situations that called for a semblance of logic.  She was obviously the only person in the class without a roommate, so of course they'd put her in here.  She was about to open her mouth to say something that would doubtfully sound intelligent at all when the other realization hit her.  That meant they were teammates, too!  Heather felt like kicking herself.  It looks like she'd been given the opportunity to apologize before they were supposed to start sharing a room together.  She got the greatest urge to just leave the room again, and even started backing towards the door a few steps.  Heather was essentially frozen with indecision.

Amethyst felt drained.  She was incredibly tired and she didn’t know why.  That fight shouldn’t have taken that much out of her.  This was unusual.  Amethyst took her hands off her eyes and stared at the bottom of the upper bunk.  Before she knew it, she had slipped into a nap, quickly waking up only five minutes later.  Her eyes blinked open rapidly.  She felt shocked out of her sleep, but she was still very tired.  Not in her right mind, a pillow caught here eye.  She had turned her head to the side in her sleep, and the pillow came first to sight and mind.  She reached out and grabbed the corner and dragged it over to her where she fully turned on her side, curled up and snuggled against the pillow.  It smelled good...    Her roommate had a nice scent.  Amethyst smiled softly, her eyes closed again, and she passed out once more.

Fifteen minutes later, a shirt was tossed on Amethyst.  Exhausted eyes fluttered open and she shifted to look at the shirt curiously.  What the??  Where did...?  Sitting up from the pillow slightly, she grabbed the article of clothing, it taking her a minute to realize what it was. Her extremely tired gaze then shifted over to find a person in the room with her.  Her roommate, perhaps?  Her eyes focused eventually on the moving figure and she saw...Heather??  Amethyst blinked in surprise, her weary eyes widened a little with shock.  Wha???  She froze in place as she watched Heather backing away toward the door.  "Y-you...??" She finally spoke, her voice soft and sleepy.  She would have been more surprised if she weren't so worn out.  And then strange thoughts came to mind.  So, this sweet scent was hers...?  Heather smelled nice...  Gah! Snap out of it!  Amethyst scooted back a little, immediately looking away from Heather and hiding a small blush, her movements slow and composed.  Her expression was only slightly surprised still.  She was calm and neutral currently, maybe even slightly dazed.

"H-hi..." She stared at the pillow she slept with and paused for a moment.  "This isn’t happening..." She mumbled to herself.  "I-I'm your roommate...aren’t I...?" she said warily, her mismatched eyes trailing back over to Heather, but avoiding eye contact.

Anonymous

"Ah, a, yeah..." was all she could say.  Amethyst was avoiding her eyes, but when it looked like she was going to look at her, Heather averted her own gaze.  When had her boots become this dirty?  She was really at a loss for what to do, so she did the only thing she could.  Still looking at her feet, she mumbled into her chest, "I'm, um, I, aahm, sorry."  She cleared her throat for no good reason, "I'm sorry for earlier.  I lost my temper."  She looked up at the other girl, her new roommate, and felt she had to explain herself a little.  "I know it's not a good reason, but you managed to hit all the wrong buttons at once.  I..." she trailed off, "I try very hard to keep my academic grades up.  You insulted my pride as a student here.  I wouldn't be here, none of us would, if we were just going to get something incorrect."  She chewed her lip and looked to the side.

Anonymous

Amethyst's ears tipped back when Heather apologized, her earrings jingling softly.  "Oh...uh...yeah..." she replied to Heather's explanation for the fight.  Then Heather started talking about pride and grades.  "Mm..." Amethyst thought about apologizing back, for having set Heather off.  She still wasn’t sure if Heather deserved an apology from her, after almost killing her.  Thinking about that now, her back pinched again.  Dammit...  Amethyst frowned a little, reaching an arm around to rub her spine.  Why was she so tired...?  Amethyst's eyes showed it completely, though she tried to just ignore it.

"I...I guess...I guess I shouldn't have said anything earlier...in the classroom..." she sort of apologized, I guess, her voice still calm and soft.  Her eyes trailed further from Heather and she finally scooted to the edge and stood up after placing Heather's pillow where it belonged.  She glanced at Heather for a moment, and then back at he ground, as she stood adjacent to her.  It was like she wanted to say something, but stopped.  She then just slowly walked past Heather and sat on her knees by her suitcase.  She unzipped it and rummaged through it to pull out some things she would need for now.  She was too tired to unpack everything.

Anonymous

She watched Amethyst go to her suitcase.  "Anyway, I'm Heather, and you're Amethyst?"  She pocketed her hands, doubting the other girl would bother to stand up and cheerfully introduce herself at this point.  "Ah, and, for future reference, the bottom bunk is taken."  She didn't want to sound selfish or anything, be she didn't like sleeping up high and wasn't about to switch now.  She moved around too much at night and was afraid of falling out of bed.  She'd done it often enough on the bottom to want to try it out from a higher elevation.

Catching herself, she asked, "So, um, you don't want any help unpacking or anything, do you?"  She didn't want to appear inconsiderate or anything, but didn't really want to help the girl, either.  It might not have been a good reason to beat her up, but it was still valid, and Amethyst hadn't exactly apologized for saying those things as much as regretted saying them.  It was almost a "sorry for getting caught" rather than a "sorry for doing it."

Anonymous

Amethyst stopped to listen to Heather, nodding her head at the question.  She was about to reply when Heather then continued speaking.  She offered to help unpack.  Amethyst thought about it for a moment, and then spoke when Heather was finished. "Yeah...  I could tell...  I'd prefer the top anyway...  I just kinda fell asleep is all...  You smell nice..." She came to an abrupt stop at her last sentence, and just stopped talking for the moment.  She just said that out loud, didn’t she...?  She glanced up at Heather and then back at her suitcase.

"Uh...yeah...sure..." She changed subjects.  "I was gunna leave it for later cuz I'm tired, but sure, I guess..." She accepted Heather's offer, feeing stupid.  Her voice and reactions were still calm though.  She almost sounded soft-spoken.  She was out of it.  She could barely concentrate she was so tired.  If she didn’t watch herself, more might slip out of her mouth.  Her back didn’t hurt anymore, so why was she so weak...?

Anonymous

Heather nodded at her agreement to the top bunk, then she stopped cold at the mention of her smelling nice.  She smelled nice?  What was that supposed to mean?  Why would she even say that?  What did that have to do with anything?  She'd have said something, but Amethyst accepted her offer.  "Ah, oh, kay, well, this is the closet."  She went to the wall and opened the closet doors, revealing where all of her own clothing was hanging.  She slid it all to the side to make room.  "There should be enough hangers free for what you need, and there's a place for whatever else down here," she pointed to one of two small dressers on the floor of the closet.

She went back over to Amethyst's suitcase and helped by opening it wider.  Judging by what she'd seen her wearing before, she was wary on what kind of things she'd see lurking in the bag.

Anonymous

Amethyst watched as Heather showed her the closet and dressers.  She nodded and then followed Heather's body as she came up and opened the suitcase.  Inside were some pretty unusual clothes.  Some ripped, come cut and shredded, some not even really clothes...  Amethyst didn’t seem to mind what Heather saw though.  There was a transparent personal bag filled with bracelets, anklets, chokers, collars, and yes, even leashes.  A variety of colors to boot.  Then there were the strange 'patch sets' of underwear Amethyst wore.  The clothes held their own uniqueness as well.  There were many different genres in there.  From goth to punk and even skater type looks.  Amethyst was a very unique individual.  And she liked to express herself, it seemed.

There were a FEW normal garments though.  Ones that her parents had packed for her.  Amethyst looked in the closet again to decide what should go where after she pulled out her toiletries bag.  Amethyst grabbed her tops and began to hang them on the hangers first.

Anonymous

Now that she was down here, she really had no idea what she should be doing.  Heather wished that Amethyst hadn't taken the tops because now she was without a clue as to what she should be doing with the rest of it.  There was no way she was going to handle her underwear, if she even had any.  As far as she could tell from looking, there wasn't really any indication that the elf even wore underwear.  So, instead, she eventually decided to put away the accessories, such as all the jewlery or whatever and the odd strips of cloth.  Grabbing as much as she could, she toted it to the dresser and asked, "Should I just put this in the top drawer and leave the bottom one for the rest?"

Anonymous

Amethyst stopped and looked at Heather when she asked.  She finished hanging up one of her tops and paused to think.  "Put the underwear in the top drawer and put those in the bottom drawer..." she replied softly, pointing to the miscellaneous bag of unusual accessories she wore with her outfits.  For the rest, she'd just follow the common pattern like Heather probably did, with the shirts on the hanger and the pants folded on the shelf below them.  Amethyst resumed hanging the tops and then gabbed a few bottoms and set them on the shelf, glancing at Heather to see how she was doing, or maybe just looking at Heather while thie girl wasn’t looking back.  She was nice...I guess...  Other than her temper, she seemed okay.  Maybe she should have put more effort into an apology...  She wasn’t exactly a 'common sense' person herself.

Anonymous

Underwear...?  Right...  Just looking, she couldn't deem there to be any chance that these strips could be used as such, so she just shrugged it off, however skeptically, as she edged the top drawer open with a free finger and dropped them inside.  She left the bag on the floor, not wanting to open the other drawer before she was finished with the top.  She returned to the suitcase to make a second and final trip for the remains of what would be in the dresser.  Finished with the top drawer, she closed it and opened the bottom to place the accessories inside.  "Is there anything else you want in here, or are you just going to use the shelf?"
