    Knights' Coven

The Knights' Coven is connected to the Wyrdwood Academy of Arcane Science. The school, focusing on the development and production of unmatched Serenian mage-knights, the Knights' Coven takes it a step further.

This group of people, under the leadership of a Wyrdwood graduate, is dedicated to the training and soldier aspect of mage-knights. The students who choose to continue in the path of becoming a mage-knight would join the Knights' Coven to make the transition from student to soldier much smoother and more comfortable.

    Membership

Wyrdwood graduates make up the majority of the people in the coven. Despite 'coven' being its official title, this troop has a combination of mages, witches, wizards, etc. of any gender and any species.

Officers: The officers are the senior members. They are promoted based on skill and time spent in the Knights' Coven. Each officer is an expert in his or her chosen ability. They all take orders from the Sage, but they are trusted to oversee and manage the subordinates in their own specialty.

Soldiers: Soldiers are one step below the officers. These are highly skilled and intelligent individuals, who decided to remain as members of the Coven after their training was completed. They hold a decent amount of authority, but they haven't made officer yet.

Recruits: The recruits make up the bulk of the Coven members. These people are new to the Knights' Coven, but they do have some experience. They are sometimes considered equal in rank to the trainees, as usually recruits and trainees are both brand new.

Trainees: Trainees are made up of students in their last year at Wyrdwood. The minimum age to join the Knights' Coven is 20, so 20 and 21-year-olds still enrolled at Wyrdwood Academy are considered trainees, since they aren't fully in the Coven yet. Often, trainees will skip directly to soldier status when they graduate from Wyrdwood.

    Base

Since the Knights' Coven has been built off of Wyrdwood Academy, their base is still relatively close to the school. Located about two miles away from the school building, the Coven Headquarters is made up of several different buildings and training fields.

There are ten barracks; four for female soldiers, four for male soldiers, one for female officers, and one for male officers. On the base, there are twelve large training fields, maintained by recruits and trainees.

There's a large building for recreational activities. This includes basic games and literature, but also anything the Coven members care to take part in. In the recreational building, rank and seniority fall away, letting everyone simply relax and be themselves.

    Daily Life

The day starts at the horn's song - sunrise. Officers are responsible for making sure the soldiers in their charge are up and ready to go twenty minutes after the horn. The members of the Knights' Coven are there because they want to be, or because of some other reason relating to discipline. This means that everyone is expected to be willing to follow directions. Anyone who fights authority or publically speaks against the Sage will be disciplined. If someone has an issue they need to discuss, officers and the Sage are more than willing to sit down and talk.

Morning: The morning consists of a well-balanced breakfast and exercise. Often, this will involve running, push-ups, obstacle courses, and other routines that the officers come up with.

Midday: There is about two hours of relaxation, where Coven members can eat lunch and relax in the recreational building. Some choose to work on their magic or personal studies, but this time belongs completely to taking a break.

Afternoon: The afternoon is full of training. For about three hours, everyone works on military training. This includes swordsmanship, hand-to-hand combat, horsemanship, archery, etc. For the final two hours of the day, magic and technique is worked on. Everyone spends the last two hours of the day working on their specialty magic.

Evening: After magical training, the time belongs to whatever Coven members want to do. Dinner is provided, and everyone is allowed to take part in recreational activities. There is no set time to retire to the barracks, but everyone is expected to be well-rested the next day for the daily routine.

Weekends: Weekends are completely free. Often, this time is used to leave the base and visit family. Family and friends are allowed on the base, and some tours of the base take place on the weekends.

    Specialties

On the base, soldiers are split into their perspective specialties. There is an officer leading every specialty, and the soldiers, recruits, and trainees are expected to answer to the officer in charge of their specialty without question. If there is a problem, it is to be spoken about in private. Being tied to Wyrdwood, divination is frowned upon and discouraged among the ranks. That doesn't mean it doesn't occur, but those caught using divination are viewed with suspicion.

The Elementals: Under the charge of the Elemental officer, these members specialize in using one or more branches of elemental magics.

Lifers: Under the charge of the Life officer, these members specialize in performing variations of life magic.

Primals: Under the charge of the Primal officer, these members specialize in one or more types of primal magic. Sexual ritual is highly discouraged, as the Knights' Coven is a disciplined military branch.

Demonlords: Under the charge of the Demoncraft officer, these members specialize in demoncraft. Typically, these people are viewed with a noticeable level of suspicion and caution, but the Sage knows that loyal and well-trained demonlords can make for very valuable assets.

Immortals: In this specialty, Demon Power, Holy Power, and Glamour are all grouped under the charge of two Immortal Magic officers. There aren't usually many Coven members who have these specialties, so the group is considered on the small side.

Other: Sometimes, there will be some people who don't fit into one of the dedicated categories. These members are put under the charge of the Sage, herself.[/list]
