{PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION}
   This is a tricky thing to answer. His nickname as the veiled prince is well-earned, as he never seems to go about in anything less than piles of clothing and veils. Unlike most of the population, who either go about in their own skin or sheer shentis, nothing on Seyed is left exposed. Even his eyes are covered, though there is a small meshed window through which he's able to see. Long wrappings of black cloth cover his arms from biceps to the tips of his fingers, and the same is done for his legs, which are wrapped from the knees down.
   While this is definitely an oddity, because how the hell does he not cook in his own skin layered up as he is, his clothing is of impeccable quality. Even his plainest wrappings are a fine, soft fabric, and he breaks up the monotony of the dark dyes with flashes of woven colored silk sashes, and bits of gold jewelry worn over top here and there.

   Seeing underneath all of this is a rare treat, and very few can make that boast. Only his most senior of concubines could say they have with any real honesty, not that they're willing to allow such talk in the first place.
   Seyed's hair is dark, and falls in gloriously thick black waves below his shoulders. His skin, a soft brown, has a kind of ashen quality to it that is usually blamed on the lack of sun, but that's only if you haven't really got much sense to know better. Dark, thick eyebrows sit above deep brown eyes framed by long lashes, and it always seems like he's laughing when he looks at you. Given the perpetual upturn to full lips, he very well might be.
   His only blemish is a hideous scar on the left side of his throat, which looks like some kind of animal got to him when he was younger. It's faded in a lot of places, but it's clear it was once very painful, as he still speaks in a kind of soft croak at times. Especially if it's particularly late in the day and he hasn't gotten adequate rest.

{PERSONALITY}

• Byronic; On a good day, Seyed comes across as seductive, charming, perceptive, and passionate. On a bad day, he's all of this wrapped up in layers of brooding darker and more numerous than his veils. Which says a lot.
• Pragmatic; Seyed knows to look at the bottom line. It's a waste of time to try and appeal to his sympathies, because all you're going to find there is disappointment. He didn't get to be as wealthy and powerful a merchant prince as he is by being overly altruistic.
• Love hurts; This man has trust issues. In other news, water is wet.
• Painfully philosophical; Seriously, I think this man spends most of his time in his libraries reading thoughts from around the world, and it can be utterly insufferable at times.

• Will absolutely read a 40 stanza poem at you for no reason other than he thought the moment fitting.
• Engages in compulsive counting, usually under his breath.
• Has about a whole list of allergies. His home is kept utterly pristine and free of "dangerous contraband" at all times. His servants are very well paid.
• Constantly smells of myrrh.

{HISTORY}
The veiled prince has been a shrewd player in the game of politics in Essyrn ever since recovering from an illness several years ago and taking over the family business. Beyond that, no one who knows is telling.
