Talak wandered through the streets, the lute he once possessed was now traded for a flute. The flute was more practical, it fit better in his bag and was easier to carry even if he couldn't sing with it. He wasn't planning on overly using it, he had his treasured harp, the one he had received as a gift along with the stone around his neck. The charm rarely, if never, came off and he could be found without his harp even less. Both musical instruments and the charm helped in his playing for his living but today he was not here for that.

He had collected plenty of coins over the few days he spent here from his public shows and, after buying some needed supplies, had a some left over- enough to buy a small gift for someone he was planning on visiting. His golden eyes wandered over the colorful merchants' stalls, ebony hair reflecting the sun and contrasting with his dark skin. His clothes were loose and showed wear like those of a frequent traveler, for that was what he was. A traveling musician.

He didn't want something overly extravagant, that ruin the purpose of his gift. He sighed in frustration as yet another stall let him down, retreating to a fountain and sitting on the edge to rest his feet. He rubbed his head a bit before deciding to play a short song on his harp, just to ease his frustration and for fun. He pulled the harp out before toning the strings, playing the notes to make sure all were on key before he let his fingers run along the strings, picking out notes at first randomly until he fell into a song.
