Pain was the first thing that Bartholomew noticed upon waking.  His whole body ached, but his head and left shoulder throbbed deeply and mercilessly.  He carefully reached up to touch the sore spot, but even the lightest contact made him involuntarily grunt and jerk his hand away.  The tips of his fingers were wet, but he did not need to look at them or sniff them to know that it was blood.  Apparently, the night before had been rougher than he thought.

Bart's memories of the night before were vague, but his current situation was not at all surprising.  This was not the first time he had woken up naked and injured in a jail cell.  It meant that the night before was the full moon, and his wolf-self was out of control.  Bart's only clear memories were of getting in a fight over a female wolf and eating a sheep.  He hoped desperately that he had done nothing worse than kill that sheep.  Property damage was easy enough to get out of, murder would be much trickier.

Once his head felt somewhat more clear, Bart rubbed his eyes, took a long stretch, and slowly eased himself up to his feet.  Once he was standing, he took a quick look down at his body to make sure that no other serious harm had been done.

'Thank you for this, Mister Guard,' she said. 'He was really hurt and I couldn't just leave him.'

The guard rolled his eyes and grunted but Serigala didn't catch it; she was too busy searching the cells for the man who attacked her and the girl she was with. She limped down the stairs as he led her deeper into the earth. She had a large set of claw marks into her thigh and it hurt to walk, not that she was going to complain about it. There were also nasty sets of teeth marks on her neck and an arm, which were bathed in teatree oil and wrapped in fresh cloths. She was sucking on the wrist of her unwounded arm in a nervous fashion.

She wrinkled her nose when she got to the next level. The scent was enough to make her gag and she sank to the floor. Even with all her training as a doctor this place made her sick. All the wounded people locked up in a confined area with no fresh air or access to healing. It didn't matter what they'd done, it was cruel to leave anyone in here. She took a breath and opened her pack. Inside she found a small satchel of ginger to chew on. It would help with both the smell and her stomach.

'Is it much farther, Mister Guard? Surely there isn't much worse then this,' Serigala asked.
'No, I don't see why you want to help him though,' he said.
Serigala smiled but didn't say anything, she just went back to sucking her wrist. She'd tried to explain it before but everybody seemed to think she was being foolish.

She got up and continued following the guard until they got to a cell that smelt strongly of fresh blood. The guard bashed on the bars of the cell to wake the man up and unlocked the cell. 'Wake up you filthy mutt! You've got a visitor,' he shouted.

Serigala went inside and waited as the guard locked the cell and left.

Sakura's eyes shot open at the sound of banging against metal, the smell once again invading her nostrils, causing her face to screw up.

"No silence... Never any silence" She mumbled, gently thumping the side of her head as if there were noise in there too.
She pushed herself to a sitting position, her back against the wall, wincing as she tried to find comfort, what with all the gashes and wounds on her back that had not healed properly due to the rank conditions.
How long had she been in here now? She couldn't remember anymore...
A faint scurrying sound caught her attention, her head snapping in the direction the noise was coming from.
She pounced, her reflexes quicker than that of the creature she had, squirming and biting viciously in her hands.

"Dinner!" She squeeked excitedly and bit into the rat hard, draining it of the small amount of blood it had flowing through its tiny body.

Tossing the now limp little creature into the corner, where a small pile of tiny bones and dead rodents was building up, she turned her attention back to the cage in front of her.
A guard had led a woman inside and locked her in, which confused Sakura, she knew the other cell was already occupied.

"The nice little lamb... In with the wolves," She said aloud "Why is she here? Why is she here?"
She wasn't addressing the girl directly, she was just speaking out loud, she was already quite mental and being down here in the darkness going crazy with hunger wasn't aiding her any.
