Title: Some Long Deserved Answers (Eveline)
Post by: Brisinger987 on June 15, 2013, 05:33:23 AM
The pair stood, clad in demonic armour, the projection of Kirnardaz acting as a separate being. Ve'larra was a bustling market town, and as such, the locals thought their armour was foreign. After all, Kirnardaz was from a demon dimension and Xerordir was born Thanati. They stood, conversing as two foreigners from the same land would. Kirnardaz's bronze/crimson armour differed majorly from the black/purple armour Xerordir, wore, but bore the same stylisations. Therefore, they were a pair.

"I hope she shows up soon. I really do need to see her. When you shared your memories with me, and showed me Eleni, I was overjoyed. I owe you a great service Xerordir. I am eternally in your debt for helping me reunite with my daughter." Kirnardaz spoke with a sincerity demons never showed to mortals. To see it honoured Xerordir.

"My pleasure Kirnardaz, you have been helpful to me as well." Kirnardaz was tense. He had every right to be in Xerordir's opinion. And Kirnardaz would have to explain a lot. Where he had been, why he had left her. Lots of catching up to do. But with his daughter, Kirnardaz could stay in this world. He gained a corporeal form from contact with her. And he had to do was lay a hand on her and he could stay and talk. For eternity.

Eleni was exhausted. Travel was not very easy-- it actually occurred next to never for normal townspeople. The beaten girl jumped out of the back of a wagon that she had managed to hitch a ride on and clumsily stumbled to her feet. Some people gave her strange looks, but Eleni simply pulled her hood over her head and dusted herself off. She looked around, beginning to walk through the markets. She stole an apple from a stand unnoticed and calmly walked around.
The truth was, the demon girl was anything but calm. She hasn't seen Xerordir in a while, and she wasn't sure what to think of her father. Her insides were screaming and her head was reeling...! Lost in her thoughts, Eleni was shoved through a crowd. As she blinked, finally making her way back down to earth, she noticed two men in armor... She frowned a bit before walking towards them.

Xerordir turned when he heard someone shout to watch where they were walking. And he saw Eleni emerge from the crowd of people. He recognised the aura around her, it was very familiar. So he nudged Kirnardaz to look. "There she is my friend." Xerordir removed his helmet, his eyes now a blood red instead of the usual crimson, and his hair now purely crimson. He had changed somewhat, but he was recognisable.

And Eleni was walking straight towards them. Kirnardaz stared for a moment, before standing upright and tripping over a bucket. He didn't care. If that was his daughter, he wanted to see her. To make things right.

She looked at both of them curiously. She tilted her head a bit when she saw Xerordir. He didn't lie. He looked different. She didn't want her father to know she cared so she went straight for Xerordir, feeling a little guilty for temporarily ignoring her father. Then again, he left her all together.
"Xerordir? You do look different! Look at your eyes!" She grinned, "They look so... bloody. Since when do your eyes change colour? Or did i just never notice?" She could feel the other man watching her, but brushed it off. After a bit, She sighed and turned to the other armored man and frowned slightly, confusion clouding her face "... And you're my...?" She asked hesitantly. Eleni didn't move an inch. She just looked at him waiting for his reply.

"It is a long story Eleni, one best told away from prying eyes and ears. And yes, it is." Xerordir took a step back to let them interact.

Kirnardaz, not wanting to be rude and not face his daughter eye to eye, removed his helmet. His eyes were the same ruby red that Eleni's were. "Hello Eleni... I've missed you." Kirnardaz's emotions and thoughts began to trickle into Xerordir's mind, and Kirnardaz felt so many different emotions that demons were not used to. Shame. Sadness. Guilt. All readily apparent in Kirnardaz's face and eyes. But in the same way he felt happy to finally see his daughter again. It had been way too long.

Kirnardaz went to take a step forward, but retreated for some unknown reason. One Kirnardaz didn't understand.

"Then why didn't you come back!" She snapped at him, taking a step closer as he took a step back. She could see the emotion oozing from his face but she refused to believe it. Her eyes glowed before flashing back to their normal crimson. His eyes... They were just like hers... "So you are the reason I'm like this." She growled and looked away. The girl never noticed the anger that had built up inside of her... It wasn't good.

Despite the anger she clearly felt, Kirnardaz didn't move an inch. His eyes glowing, he looked back up from the floor at her. "I tried. You see, when you were born... The villagers your mother and I lived with at the time, were, superstitious. They believed you were their apocalypse. So they took your mother while I was out with you. I was visiting my kingdom with you, showing my daughter what she would one day rule. And I came back, and the villagers were about to execute your mother, so I was forced to set you down somewhere safe and give chase. I was too late. And then when I came back to get you, and take you to my kingdom where you would be safe, with my sister, you were gone. I have spent the last 20 odd years trying to find you again. In a world where magic was not so abundant, you would have been found quickly. but magic obscured you from being scryed, and as such I investigated magical hotspots. In doing so I came across many things, Dragons, trapped demons, ghosts. But never you... And then, when I met Xerordir, knowing I had not much time in this world, I possessed him, and now we share a body, our minds compromising and coexisting. That is why his appearance has changed." Kirnardaz had shortened the story but told it truthfully.

Silence. She didn't move, she didn't speak... The girl shuffled a bit before finally speaking up, "Mom's... She's..." She looked down, gripping the fabric of her cloak tightly. She can't even remember... "What was she..?" She asked hesitantly

"I thought they might have taken you too, at first, so I destroyed the village, killed every last one. I was angry, I was alone, I was broken." Kirnardaz lowered his head slightly, signalling her to look up.

"Your mother was the most compassionate, most loving person I ever knew. I've met thousands of mortals. And she was the only one who would talk to me like I was human. Like I was a person, not a bloodthirsty demon. She would have forgiven them, for everything except killing you or me. You have her hair you know?" Kirnardaz wanted to see her smile once before he had to go back to his realm. Or he wanted to stay. To try and fix his mess.

Her frown grew, "You killed them... All of them?" She looked at her father "Would she have wanted that? What would she have said?" She glanced over at Xerordir before looking back at her father "Look... Even if this is true... It hurt. I grew up with no one except for Auntie... And she kicked me out too... The thing is, it would've been nice if I knew my parents growing up, even though I couldn't being a lost person and all... I want to know more about our family. I can't say I forgive you, and I can't say I'm not upset, but in time I'll learn to get rid of all this anger-- without destroying a town." She gave a small smile.

"Your mother accepted what I was, and that tempered me. But without her I am a reckless demon. Perhaps you can pull me back to the state I was in when your mother was around me. Give me something to love." He smiled back at her, that small smile making him proud.

"Perhaps... In time..." She then realized something "... What's your name? What was her name?" She looked at him curiously

"My name, is Kirnardaz. Your mother's name was Sophia." Kirnardaz felt a sickening sensation. He removed his gauntlets briefly.

"My time separate from Xerordir is nearly up. If I merely come in contact with you, I can live in this world as I do in a demon world. I can be in multiple places, possess multiple people. I gain a foothold here, and can stay permanently. But there has to be something anchoring me. You would be ideal. All I need to do is touch your skin, but I need your consent." He stood momentarily, Xerordir watching and thinking nearby.

Eleni thought for a bit ".... What would happen If I didn't let you?" Asked curiously. She did want to stay with her father since he was here but perhaps it'll only cause more trouble. She was all grown up now, after all, and isn't quite sure where to go from here...

He didn't know what would happen. He didn't want to know. He had heard that some demons were obliterated for it. He didn't want that. No demon did.

"I honestly don't know. I have heard we get obliterated, or lost. Some apparently get trapped in strange dimensions, becoming mortal, but I do not know. If I have a foothold, I can live in two worlds. I can see you, help Xerordir, and rule my kingdom. Your mother became one such foothold, until she died." Kirnardaz frowned somewhat, the pain becoming slightly stronger as time passed.

Eleni's eyes widened. No, she didn't want to lose him again...! Anger still boiled deep within her, but she truly wanted to be close to her father again. The half demon girl extended her hand to her father hesitantly "Well..."

"Thank you Eleni. I won't disappoint you." He touched her hand and felt the surge of well being. His armour dissipated, and he clothes were human. His eyes glowed like torches, and he felt the anchoring occur. The other benefit was they knew where each other were at all times. He couldn't lose her again.

"Now you will be able to tell where I am at all times, and vice versa. And I can teleport directly to you if I am needed, or you call for me." He smiled now, more than before.

She felt a little sting as her eyes shined. She ran a hand through her hair and looked at him wearily "Im a big girl now, dad, you missed the raising me stage," she grinned. She blinked realizing she called him "dad." It felt so natural and caring... He really did miss a lot, didn't he?

He had missed raising her. Partly. "Well no-one taught you how to rule a demon kingdom while I was gone I hope. Then I will have missed all the fun. And just cause I missed raising you doesn't mean I can't reteach you things." He laughed a little. He was already tempered. With his daughter there he felt happy. He felt humane.

"Besides, you just inherited a demon kingdom. And a demon for a dad. Mischief awaits, my daughter."

Ah. Of course she didn't know... Well that would be interesting. "Demons are reborn every 4000 years. They just go up in flames and become a newborn baby again. When that happens, and this is assuming your demon heritage grants you longevity, you need to take over while that happens. If you do age past your current form, which is possible, I need to sire a pure demon heir. Which I don't want to do, so." He gave her a look which said 'please don't let that happen'.

She blinked, still a bit confused "Wait... What?" She never learned about demons and her family line. All she knew was that she had dark magics and was titled as 'unholy' by most.

Kirnardaz sighed. He had spoken just a little bit too much. "Because you are a half demon, you may live a human length life, and age. You could also, possibly, live forever, being reborn. Demons are immortal in all forms, if they are beaten in battle, they are reborn, and grow to be the same person, with the same memories. You may not be that type of immortal, but you may be naturally immortal, assuming your life isn't taken. If you are naturally immortal, I can take you as the heir to my throne, and when I am next reborn, you get my kingdom. You may never be reborn, and just live immortally. It depends on how much you take after me." He paused for a few seconds, having spoken slower and more clearly that time.

"If you are not immortal in any form, I need an heir, so I must therefore bed some gods-forsaken she-demon and produce offspring who are wholly demon, so that I can alternate between their reign and my reign." Kirnardaz stopped again.

"Demons can also be killed in battle, or through deceitful murder. I killed my parents in such a manner to claim their thrones for myself. Such is the demon's way of life. I have no intention of exposing you to that, and when you go to my realm, you will only die if your body here dies. You will be thrown back to this world if you die in my realm. Thereby again, rendering you immortal." He spoke with a coolness unrivalled by even gods.

"I'm basically saying that we may live together forever."

"But... I don't want to live forever... Isn't it lonely?" She asked curiously. She didnt know how much she has gained from her dad, but she did know it was a lot. Her eyes, her dark magic, her anger issues, fighting instinct, mischievous ways.... She wasn't sure if she was happy she turned out so much like her father...

"Not when everything you reign over is immortal too. But then again, I blow them up if they irritate me... Yeah, it can be but I can teach you a few tricks, and meeting other demons is fun!" He was trying to make something that wasn't appealing at all sound fun. He had been rather lonely. And with Sophia, he was going to try and convince her to live in his realm, where she would be immortal. But he had failed.

"But..." But what? Maybe it was a good idea. No body here seemed to accept her... Except... She shook her head. She didnt know why she was so attached to Earth, all it did was reject her. Feni taught her that not all people are bad, though... Perhaps... "I don't have to decide now, right?"

"Well you may end up living a human life. Who knows? And besides, if you do turn out to be immortal, we can stick your friends in little bottles which are paradises. They can be immortal in there and we can stick them on your bed room shelf." Kirnardaz chuckled. In his eyes, she was still his little girl. And he needed to protect her, make her happy.

She laughed a bit at that "Thanks dad, but I don't exactly have any friends." She smiled, "Maybe Xerordir's my friend but I'm not sure if he'd agree to that" she whispered to her dad while looking at Xerordir so he knew they were talking about him. She grinned. She loved to annoy people..!

"Well we should fix that then, shouldn't we? I mean, we are nice people. How about, for now, we stay at Xerordir's fortress in the mountains?" Kirnardaz looked over and Xerordir, who appeared absent minded, reading a book, and leaned in to Eleni. "We'll bottle him up while he is asleep, leave him in nothing but his undergarments in a cold, snowy bottle for a night." Kirnardaz could now see the mischievous look Sophia had always told him he had. It was nice to see.

"Oh~ Deal~!" She grinned and glanced over at the distracted Xerordir, giving him an innocent look when he looked up at the two. She had forgotten about her anger towards her father and it felt so natural to talk like this. She only wished her mother was here. She wondered what she would've said to the two if she was here.

"Your mother would have given us both a rollicking for this, me for encouraging you and you for suggesting it." He sighed slightly, and smiled, feeling that he was making amends as a father should. He knew it would take work, but they would do it. He would be the best dad possible.

She smiled at the thought. She looked around seeing the crowd thin as the sun began to set "Hm..?" She looked around curiously. She reached into her cloak pocket to find the forgotten apple and she took a bite from it, offering it to her dad "Whm ist?" She asked with a mouthful of apple
Title: Re: Some Long Deserved Answers (Eveline)
Post by: Brisinger987 on June 15, 2013, 11:51:19 PM
Kirnardaz smiled as she offered him an apple. "Thank you." Normally he would have snatched the apple from her hand, if she were anyone but his own daughter. He respected his family, even the parents he had killed, those who sired him. Demons were immortal, essentially, the only way that they could truly die was to be killed by their own children.

Best not to tell her that, Kirnardaz  decided. "I'm so glad that you were raised with manners. It does make me happy to see that. I wonder if it would have been different if I had raised you?"

Shrugs "Probably..." She walked over to a ledge and sat down, looking over the land. The sun was setting, bleeding as it sunk below the horizon. Pinks and purple filled the air; silver lined the clouds-- it was incredible.
"... What are you most disappointed on missing out? What was a big even you wished you could've been there to see in my life?" Eleni asked distractedly as she looked over the valley.

"Your first birthday, your first steps, your first words... Those sorts of things..." Kirnardaz sighed and sat next to her. It was a beautiful sight to see. Anyone who knew what he and her were would flip. A demon and his daughter. To some it would be shocking that a demon could care for a daughter, and to some it would be heart-felt.

"What have you missed about not knowing me?" He was curious as to what she had missed. He had missed loads.
Title: Re: Some Long Deserved Answers (Eveline)
Post by: Eveline on June 16, 2013, 07:43:23 AM
She sighed, looking at her lap "Hm... I wished... Someone was there to tell me stories... To hold me and comfort me when I did something terrible. I wished my parents were there to give me the answers... Every day that passed I would wonder what was wrong with me; why people would spat and yell at me... I just wished you two could've been there to tell me everything was going to be okay, you know what I mean?" She turned to her father. Eleni really had grown up. She had grown into her figure and features--she would be an adult if she was in fact mortal.

The girl had learned how to scavenge for needs. Living on the streets gives you an opportunity to appreciate the smaller things in life. Sometimes the smallest things are the most important. For example, being there and seeing that view with her father touched her. She rather be here than live in a palace or live by societies rules.

He understood that she was an outcast. He was one. He was one who had come from a privileged background, but he was an outcast. A demon prince among peasant imps.

"Things will get better. You are the one thing I was truly proud of. To take so much life and cause so much heartbreak, you are the best thing I have ever done. I am proud of you. To survive being what you are is an achievement. And I am very proud." Kirnardaz put an arm around his daughter, holding her close.

"We can be outcasts together."

The girl tensed when he put his arm around her, before relaxing. "What is there to be proud of? I have no accomplishments and face it, we're the same... I'm a monster. I can't... I can't even control it!" A distressed look took over her face "I've done so many things... I can't forget the things I've done! I can still hear their voices, screaming and clawing at my mind... People get hurt because of me and my stupid anger issues...!" Her eyes flickered again before she took in a breath, "Survival means someone's going to die eventually... But, it's a burden knowing you've taken the gift of life from a person."

Oh he knew the feeling all too well. "I'm proud of you, because unlike so many with demon parentage and heritage, you can admit that. Demon's have a conscience. But they are generally driven mad by the guilt and it becomes natural to kill. We are monsters to this world Eleni, but that is what we always will be. This world can't accept us because it can't even accept itself. Just like the demons they claim to hate. Everyone has a demon in them, it's just if we choose to listen to it. Your mother didn't. I don't always. But I AM a demon." He sighed.

"And it will be ok now. I can teach you to stop that. I can teach you to control your temper."

He hugged her back. "I missed you too... So much..."

It was only when Eleni mentioned about the time that he realised. "Well my dear, night time is a good time for demons to play. I can show you how to turn invisible and haunt people?" Kirnardaz grinned. He had played this trick so many times.

She grinned. Invisibility? That trick could be useful...! "Invisibility? Sounds great! Except, if the vilagers caught us..." She glanced around "I usually avoid Connloath. Too many laws I can easily break." She shrugged, starting to swing her legs back over the ledge and beginning to stand.

OOC: Essentially, the same Kirnardaz as before, but a bit more in depth. Still a work in progress.

"Well it will last about two hours. Wanna do that, then I can take you back to my dimension to sleep tonight?" Kirnardaz smiled at his daughter. He was desperate to be a better father to her, and he was scared that he would lose her again. He didn't want that. He wanted to spend time with her.

She thought for a bit, her crimson eyes swirling with thought and emotion "Uh, sure?" Smiled a bit. She wasnt exactly mad anymore. Honestly, she felt more pity for him than anything. She did like him, he seemed kind enough.... But emotions and feelings still fought and lingered in the back of her mind. It doesn't matter the excuse, what happened happened, there's no way around it. Perhaps she could come to trust him completely, though. She was almost there after all.

"Good choice." Kirnardaz didn't have to speak an incantation, the orb of magic simply appeared in his hand, and he placed it in her hand.

"Eat it when you are ready. You will be able to see all the ghosts and spirits like that, be warned. Do not be surprised if they claim to be your mother. They are not. Your mother went to a better place. I checked. I begged the gods of that realm to take her. She is happy again. No matter what the ghosts say, follow the red ghost. That will be me. The rest will be blue." He summoned one of his own. His was 2 hours worth of time.

"Eat the orb when you are ready. And remember, the ghosts will manipulate you into hurting people anchoring them to this world. Do not listen. Whatever they did to be stuck here, they deserve to be here. They will believe they are the only ghost in the world. We will be apparitions to them. Do not obey their commands, no matter if they look like someone you trust. Anyone who you trusted and is dead has moved on. These have committed horrors I would not condone the day your mother was murdered. I would have killed the world that day if I could. They are defilers." Kirnardaz's voice was stern.

"Follow and listen to me. No-one else. If I tell you to run, you run. If I tell you to kill someone, you must do it. You need to trust my judgement."

Her eyes widened "W-what this wasn't part of the deal--?!" She looked down at the orb and bit her lip, nodding with a sigh "F-fine, but only because it seems cool... And I want to trust you." She mumbled, bringing the orb to her lips hesitantly before eating it. Everything around her seemed to shift, her eyes shinning and glowing, her hair blowing back. She closed her eyes for a split second and when she opened them again, she could feel an inviting cold feeling surround her. Spirits. They were everywhere...! She searched for the red one like her father said, walking towards it once she found it.
"Eleni!" Someone screeched, a cold air surrounding her. She gasped as something tugged on her arm, "Sweetheart, it's been so long...!" The woman purred. She looked a lot like her 'Aunt.' The woman who scooped her off the streets.

"Eleni. Come with me. Remember what I said. I can reabsorb the magic anytime you cannot go on. Even if you think they are real." Kirnardaz waited for Eleni to join him. He saw Sophia's face on all these ghosts. And all of them were wrong.

Eleni blinked at the woman, a bit frightened honestly. She quickly shoved the woman away and ran after her father. People from her passed tried to talk to her, moaning and groaning; begging her to return after she frowned and continued on.

"There, and open window. Ghosts can't cross inhabited house thresholds. Don't ask why, I don't honestly know." Kirnardaz climbed through. "Come, we can terrorise this house. Just watch that you don't stab yourself on a knife or something. You can still interact physically, unlike ghosts." Kirnardaz kicked a flower pot as he crawled through the window.

Nodded and followed him in, "Can they hear us?" She whispered to her father. She looked around the house as she waited for his reply.

"Only if you want to be heard. Like this." Kirnardaz walked up to a woman in her late 40's, sat on a chair, knitting.

"We... See... You... MARION......" Kirnardaz whispered in her ear.

"Pick up a kitchen knife, just don't stab anyone. Blood will coat around you and reveal you, all coloured liquids and solids will." Kirnardaz walked around, slamming all the doors as hard as he could.

Laughed and walked into the kitchen, opening the drawers and grabbing a knife. She began walking through the halls, her voice cold and flat, with an Erie ring to it "They're coming.... Can't you hear them?" She let out a ghostly sigh, "They'll find you... They always do..." She dragged the knife against the walls with a smirk.

Kirnardaz began to use magic to make his eyes glow red, and to beam through the invisibility. "WE'VE FOUND YOU... YOU ARE OURS NOW... DO NOT RESIST... WE HAVE KILLED JOHN... AND MARK... AND LUCY... NOW WE WILL KILL YOU..." Kirnardaz made a poof of black smoke, and dimmed his eyes.

"Now you have to rough her up a bit. Don't hurt her, but pull her around, and rip her clothes. Then we will find a new house." Kirnardaz grinned. "And try to keep the ripping appropriate."

Her hands reached from behind the chair, grabbing the lady's face and pulling at her hair. She began to claw at her clothing, ripping off bits and pieces.

The woman ran screaming from the house, and Kirnardaz let her hear him laughing. His laugh was deep, throaty and a stereotypical maniac laugh. The he stopped letting them hear, and he laughed normally. He held out a hand for Eleni to hi five. "Good job kiddo, you can lead on the next house."

OOC: Sorry, I've been so busy lately and I was sick last week. I'm really sorry about the wait...
------

Grinned, feeling proud "Really? Okay!" She glanced around at the empty house, looking at the tossed furniture and scarred walls "Hm. Not such a bad place.." Acknowledge thoughtfully before turning back to her father, "What's the point of this again?" She walked around the chair and looked around the cozy home, making her way into a small kitchen.

"To get the guards scared my dear. We frighten the guards. The guards call on the church. The church tries to exorcise ghosts, and I can frighten the church off. And then we leave. No one hurt, just lots of frightened people. Fear is the quickest route to power. And I think you need a bit of power. Am I right?" Kirnardaz smiled, summoning some pretty blue fire. He put it in the fireplace, and it burned navy blue.

"Hm. Suppose you're right." Nodded with a grin. No one was getting hurt after all. And, with a little more power, she could Do incredible things! It didn't mean she was going to hurt anyone, just control her power better, she assured herself.

"Then lead the way to the house next door! Onwards my princess, for you allow me to claim the title of king! Even though I ruled my realm already and gain nothing but a new title, onward! Mush!" Kirnardaz pointed, and remained motionless, an illusionary horse appearing and chewing on his hair.

Laughed and nodded "Yessir!" Gave a salute and marched out of the house "And I hope you know a horse is trying to eat your brains" grinned at her father.

Kirnardaz made the horse fade away, and his hair grew back. He felt himself become slightly proud of himself. He had made his daughter happy.

Kirnardaz followed, and upon entering the house threshold, collapsed in agony under the emanating presence of a holy symbol.

"DAMMIT!"

"Dad!" Eleni called out frantically and ran towards the door, "Dad, are you okay?" She asked worriedly as she knelt beside him. She looked up at the symbol "What's that? What does it mean?" Her voice was tinged with fright as she held onto her father gently and stared up at the pure symbol.

"It's a holy symbol, and it hurts me a lot, I was too caught up in the moment of spending time with you to think about it. Turn it upside down if you can? That inverts it's powers, makes me slightly stronger..." Kirnardaz hit the floor in frustrated pain. Of all the times to be stupid, he does it when his daughter is around.

The girl nodded and stood up to touch the symbol. She hissed at the burning sensation that she felt when she made contact with the holy symbol. She quickly tugged on it, turning it upside down. The pain subsided soon enough but she still pulled her hand away, holding it to her chest.

The moment he heard Eleni hiss in pain, his brain went into overdrive, and snapped the symbol. Then he needed to make sure she was ok.

"Are you ok? I forgot that holy symbols will hurt you as well. I can only apologise."

She sighed and shook out her hand, "Im fine." She insisted, "So why was that even there? I didn't see it there...!"

"The masters of this establishment must have a religious fascination. Bah, the gods have no time for any of their followers, only time to argue over petty subjects. Demons have replaced them as the interactive higher powers of the worlds." If they were lucky, there would just be one. Hopefully the master of the house would not carry one.

"Should we move on to the next house?" Asked a bit concerned, putting a hand on his shoulder. At first she was upset with him, leaving her for all those years but he seemed to have an answer for every reason she had to hate him. Besides, after not having your father there for so long, she couldn't help but crumble and give into his apologizes. Honestly, she missed him and her mother and now that he was here, Eleni felt particularly vulnerable. The idea of getting her only family ripped out from under her again threw her off guard completely. Perhaps she really was just a little girl inside who's been trying to act strong. So, now, all she could do was fret. Pathetic. This was nothing-- just a small burn; an ache. But the concern written on her face and reflected in her eyes refused to go away.. Yes, like this she really looked like the lost little girl she used to be.

Kirnardaz walked to the doorway into the next room, taking great care not to cross the threshold between rooms, wary of more religious symbols. He would not let them hurt Eleni under any circumstance.

"Yes. Let's. This house is littered with symbols and icons that will harm us both." Kirnardaz could feel an ever growing presence in the rooms around.

Something bigger than them was watching. A god perhaps, deciding if the two were causing too much mischief. Or a demon, hungry for Eleni's soul.

Or the ghost of a long lost loved one, unable to interact.

Eleni simply nodded, unaware of the growing presence in the room. She pushed a strand of hair away from her eyes and held her cloak closer around herself.

Kirnardaz thought about burning this household, but thought that Eleni might not be too happy with that. She was probably going to be his calming force, and that meant he wouldn't be able to.

"Come. We'll exit the way we came."

"Okay," nodded, following close behind her father, glancing around the house again, staring at the items scattered around the rooms curiously.

Kirnardaz bolted next door, extending his psychic presence into the room first, using some ghostly clairvoyance to see what was in the room. Nothing. Dust and cobwebs.

"Something tells me we need to go in here." Kirnardaz opened the door, inviting Eleni in.

The young girl walked into the house curiously, hoping it was safer than the last "Is anyone in here?" Asked her father as she already began walking around cautiously.

Blinked "Wha-- then why are we here?" Glanced past him curiously, not sure what to expect.

"I don't know. Something bigger than me is nearing though. More powerful. Something ascended from human form." Kirnardaz worried that some form of ascended being like Angsar was near, someone easily capable of killing Eleni. But it was unlikely.

More likely someone dead turned angel for their kindness.

"Ascending from human form..? Like an angel?" Asked curiously  looking upwards. This place definitely had an eerie feel to it, though, it's not like it bothered her. Suddenly a thought hit her, "Father," the term still felt foreign on her tongue, "How much longer before this spell wears off?" She could feel the presence of the lingering souls around her slightly fade.

The instant he opened his mouth, his form exploded, and the spell broke, placing the ashes left of Kirnardaz, and Eleni, back into the real world. A brilliant looking angel stood at the other end of the room, lips curled into a snarl, as she looked at the demon's remains.

"That was pathetic. You there. Mortal. Do you promise to repent your demonic nature? Do you promise to reject your heritage?" Unbeknownst to the Angel, and possibly Eleni, the ashes were evaporating into a black smoke, which was filling the room.

Blinked, eyes wide before her eyebrows furrowed. "Never. I.. I may not like it, but It's who I am." Fixed her posture staring at the angel ferociously "Who do you think you are? I don't care who my father is or was, but that doesn't change the fact that he is still my father." Snapped, eyes flashing red and bearing her sharpening teeth.

"You won't repent then. So be it. I will have to destroy you too." The angel's wings unfolded, and a spear made of solid gold form, the form of it glowing as the angel prepped to throw it.

Then a horrific loud voice boomed through the room, and the angel paused, confused.

"No-one... Hurts... MY FAMILY." The black smoke in the room condensed around the angel, who screamed as the unholy smoke dissolved the angel's skin, the poor angel screaming in agony as the enraged, evaporated mass of Kirnardaz viciously attacked the threat to Eleni.

After a few seconds, the angel teleported away, and the black smoke condensed to form a humanoid shape, before forming into Kirnardaz again.

He was panting, worn out from a vicious attack on the angel, and he sighed in relief to see that Eleni was unharmed.
