At a Glance:

Name: Jillian Treyburn (JIH-lee-an Tray-burn) AKA "Illi" (IH-lee)

Age: 21

Gender: Female

Species: Human

Height: 5 foot 3

Occupation: Reader/Writer

Not-So-Basic Information:

Looks:
Illi has well tanned skin from days spent reading outside. Her straight hair is sun bleached, causing it to be a very light blond. She has beautiful green eyes that don't always appear green. Some days they may look blue, or brown, or purple, or any other color, but they always have at least a speckle of green in them. Her face is well framed and her body looks a bit frail, probably due to her lack of sense of time and therefore skipped meals.

Dressed in a feminine but practical manner, Jillian has a sort of effortless beauty. In truth, the dresses she wears are chosen partially for beauty (in case she meets her soulmate any given day), but mostly for practicality. She doesn't want to trip on her dress while trying to read, after all. She most commonly wears blues and greens.

Personality:
Illi is, through and through, an avid reader. She enjoys nothing more than having a book in her hands, and can read faster than anyone else. In fact, her love of books is so extreme that she has learned almost all of the languages just so that she can read books from other places. While reading, she notices nothing going on around her. Well, that's not completely true. Illi has developed the ability to read while walking. Whether it be in the forest or in a town square, she can manage to get around while reading without bumping into a single person. If you were calling her name, however, she wouldn't hear a thing.

For those who manage to strike up a conversation with Illi (which would normally be about books), she is quite a nice girl. She is most definitely a hopeless romantic, wanting some charming guy to come and sweep her off her feet, performing daring and romantic acts for her. She loves adventure and will listen to anybody tell a story—true or not—about journeys they have been on. That being said, she has never gone on a journey of her own. She is a daydreamer and has endless imagination. In fact, the only thing she loves as much as reading is writing! Perhaps its this naivety and innocence to her that causes most people to be quite charmed by her.

Relationships:
Parents (http://www.spiritsoftheearth.net/smf/index.php?topic=15293.msg150085#msg150085): Wealthy, minor noblemen in the pocket of some Duke or another. Jillian rarely spends time with them but knows that she doesn't like them. While she was able to get through their horribleness with little trouble, she feels bad for her other siblings and, most of all, her older brother who always stands up for them.

Siblings (http://www.spiritsoftheearth.net/smf/index.php?topic=15270.0) (9):

Davishire (http://www.spiritsoftheearth.net/smf/index.php?topic=15570.msg155784#msg155784): Illi has found her way into the grumpy Davishire's heart... and the other way around. While their romance is nothing official yet (just a meeting at a ball (http://www.spiritsoftheearth.net/smf/index.php?topic=15589.msg156757#msg156757) and a coincidental date (http://www.spiritsoftheearth.net/smf/index.php?topic=16161.msg171790#msg171790) the next day), it is definitely there!

Magic/Abilities:
Things Illi has going for her magic/ability wise:
     1. She's a fast reader.
     2. She can read and walk.
     3. She's a great writer.
     4. She has nimble fingers.
     5. She has magic that nobody knows about due to the fact that she doesn't let them read her stuff.

History:
Illi, from a young age, had an endless imagination. She'd go around pretending to be people and telling (horrible) stories to her older siblings. It was no surprise to anyone that once she learned how to read, she would never stop. Her eldest brother did the majority of raising her, though other people did help. But to be truthful, much of her growing up was independent. She learned who she wanted to be by reading books and drawing on the lessons written. She lives with Redly, mostly because there are very few jobs she'd be willing to accept and therefore has no money to live on her own. If she gets a job that she can do without sacrificing her reading time, however, she will gladly accept it. These jobs include becoming a librarian, owning a bookstore, or writing as a profession (though she knows this will never happen).
