Title: Art usage policy - what is considered 'editing'?
Post by: quaggan on May 30, 2018, 01:06:18 PM
I have read the updated art policy (http://www.spiritsoftheearth.net/smf/index.php?topic=7025.0) and I have a question regarding the newly added edit rule. Does resizing an image/using just a part of it (for example, the original image is of the full character, but the player cuts off half and only uses the part from the waist up) also fall under the umbrella of 'edit', or does the word apply only to altering the image?

Great question!

Cropping/resizing images is not what we meant. For clarification we only mean edits that alter the image someone has created i.e. changing colors, shading, backgrounds, etc.

Hope this helps!
