Title: Psychics in Connlaoth
Post by: Xphy on September 28, 2009, 04:22:24 AM
I was just wondering how psychics are viewed in Connlaoth. I know that the Connlaothians accept Mordecai, but are they accepting of all psychics or do they only accept the Mordecai because of ability to neutralize mages?

Psionics looks an awful lot like magic to most Connlaothians.  To a normal Connlaothian, there isn't much difference between using telekinesis to move a plate across the room vs. using a magic hand to do the same thing.  A plate is flying and that isn't something plates do naturally.

By now I'm sure there are some people that have figured out that there are some 'mages' that don't lose their abilities when a Mordecai is around.  It terrifies more than it inspires curiosity.

A psychic would have an easier time blending into Connlaothian society than a mage though.  No need to pussy-foot around Mordecai and as long as they kept their power on the down-low they wouldn't be harassed by the law.
