The heat felt incredible. Prisilla soaked it up, sprawled out on her back over top of a boulder perked within the forest. Endless waves of platinum blond rolled out behind her, acting as though some sort of silken pillow. Mm, relaxation. It felt like it had been so long.

Prisilla, usually dressed for colder occasions, had slipped off her clingy tight pants and allowed her long sweater to act as a dress. She curtly rolled up their sleeves, the fur treading the cuff becoming bothersome, much like the furred collar loose around her neck. Fortunately for Prisilla, there was a splendid breeze that rolled down from the coast and relieved the stickiness of the forest. She exhaled a languished sigh, basking in the glorious day, before her relaxation was rudely interrupted by a hiss.
Neurotic as she was, Prisilla sat up and in an instant hopped off the boulder. She faced the oncomer as it slithered effortlessly, using the trees as guides. A basilisk, great. "For fuck sakes, can I not get a decent goddamn rest every once in a while?" Prisilla cried out, not hesitating to transform.

In the time it took to say 'Jesus Christ', Prisilla had not only removed all articles of clothing but had become a full fledged canis lupus. Such light colours were probably a bad idea in the middle of a forest full of green-- but take it or leave it. The serpent lunged forwards and Prisilla yelped, just barely side-stepping out of reach. This snake was considerably smaller than the other basilisks she had seen-- probably a baby or something. Hopefully its momma wasn't anywhere nearby.
Quickly replaying all of the 'perks' to being a basilisk, Prisilla made a special effort to avoid its cunning gaze. After it took another lunge, Prisilla used the time it took for him to recooperate and lept forwards, attaching herself to its back. Desperately her fangs cut through the putrid scales and anchored her body to that dastardly serpents. It thrashed and made an assortment of lovely noises, but Prisilla continued to provoke it with brutal lashes to its flank using those trusty claws of hers.

In a frenzy, the horrid snake reared up and twisted its arrow-head in her direction, fangs bared in preparation to strike.

Lark Silvermane was just walking through the forest going to Serendipity from La' Marri.  He just finished an escort job but there was never any work from La' Marri, all of the mages thought they could take care of themselves.  Lark liked some mages, but thought most were stuck up though.

He was going through the forest off the roads, to avoid fighting any bandits stupid enough to attack, and he wanted to see his wolf friends again. He was stopped however when he heard something far away.  It sounded large and it was moving slowly, ready to stike.  Normally that was okay but there was some strange sense that made him need to investigate.    He moved silently through the forest, tracking this large thing.  He thought it to be just a large snake but when he reached it he saw it was in fact a basilisk.  He looked around to see what it was hunting and saw a girl.  To him it was just a girl, but something inside told him there was more than meets the eye.

The basilisk almost noticed him, but he was able to hide away quickly enough.  When he came out of hiding the basilisk and a lycan were fighting.  That's when he knew why he felt how he did.  He quickly changed into his alpha form, the form he changed into a wolf a bit larger than normal wolves and his grey fur was actually silver but hardly noticable.  He shot out of the bushes and closed it's eyes before ramming into the basilisks head to stop it from biting the Prisilla.

"Come on", Prisilla encouraged, watching indirectly as the creature threatened to lunge. And then it didn't.
A stray lycan had caught her off guard, barreling into the basilisk's head as if to try and save Prisilla. This absolutely, positively infuriated her! Cocking her head and gripping exceptionally tight on the snakes flesh, she pulled out a chunk and threw it half-heartedly to the side. In one casual leap all four paws met with the earth.

"What the fuck do you think you're doing?" Prisilla snarled, quickly sprinting towards the rogue werewolf without a seconds appreciation. "I can take care of myself, thankyou", she spat, watching in disgust as the gigantic serpent writhed around the trees. Confidently, the heavenly canine bounced over towards the basilisks mighty head of which craned in her direction. Without a seconds consideration, she jumped and this time attached her fangs on the fleshy bit beneath its chin, where furiously it reacted by thrashing its massive body and shaking Prisilla like a ragdoll.

Incapable of admitting it to herself, she really did need help with this. Prisilla had only ever fought one other basilisk-- and it didn't end too nicely. Ask her that, though, and she'd tell you otherwise. Pride truly does have a tendency to get in the way.

With another violent thrash, Prisilla was tossed to the ground and sent into the undertow with a painful thud.

Lark took the yelling silently, he was used to wolves barking at him.  He changed back into his human form, although as normal as his human form got.  He even took off his cloak so that his wolf ears and tail showed, despite the humanoid form.  He had fought a couple basilisks before, but it was with two other wolves, and adult wolves at that.  He watched silently as he walked over to where he thought she might fall.

When she was tossed to the ground he found that he was about three feet to the side.  He bit his bottom lip thinking that must have hurt.  "Still want to take care of this yourself?"  He said with a smug smile as he looked at her on the ground, his red eyes glowing a little in the dark shade of the forest.  He saw the basilisk regaining its sense of direction in the corner of his eye.

Prisilla scrambled up after the fall, shaking her canid figure and taking a blow to the ego. She avoided any eye-contact with the lycan, almost as desperately as the basilisk itself.
"Do whatever you want", Prisilla huffed, tensely rolling her shoulders beneath the heavy coat of fur. In her fluster, she hardly noticed the approaching basilisk, until atleast she heard the snapping of branches and turning stones; not to mention that horrific hiss. A deep, gutteral snarl poured from between her bared fangs while simultaneously each individual fur bristled in ripe anticipation. Prislla would never, ever make it obvious, but her confidence level was in fact dropping-- and fast.

What damage Prislla and the rogue lycan had done was insignificant. Just minor scrapes on its gigantic body. Groaning unbearably beneath her breath, Prisilla finally managed to mutter "Okay, you going to help or what?" beneath her foul breath.

She sure hoped he accepted her pathetic excuse of a cry for help, because the basilisk was gaining ground extremely quickly.

"I'll see what I can do."  He said rolling his neck.  He quickly changed into his alpha form and let out a loud wolf howl.  Another sounded far away and then he turned to the basilisk, making sure to avoid its eyes.  He shot off towards the basilisk and jumped high near a tree.  Changed to his human form, to grab a branch and jumped up into the leaves.  The basilisk, seeing that its prey was gone, turned back to Prisilla.  When it changed to Prisilla though Lark shot down from the leaved in alpha form again biting, scratching, and clawing whatever was in its way with his eyes closed, if he aimed right he would take out an eye, both if he was lucky.

Prisilla grumbled a little bit after he accepted her offer, watching him with uninterested eyes as he maneuvered around the tree; eventually jumping from a branch and crashing into the hungry basilisk.
The serpent wailed, its broad head whipping side to side in an effort to shake the lycan off. Its entire body twisted and curled around trees in desperation to shake that damned dog-- who, falling off eventually, left the snake eye-less and bloodied.

Prisilla sat up, her sore paws kneading in frustration into the ground. Refusing to be considered useless, the white canid bolted forwards and leapt, her kempt body once again colliding with the same tender spot beneath the snake's chin. With a brutal twist of her body, a chunk of its rubbery flesh went falling, like Prisilla, to the ground.
Snake meat tastes disgusting. Spitting it to the side, she idly watched as the basilisk, defeated, slithered off in retreat.

Prisilla trudged over to where her pants and hoodie lay, transforming back into her human self and throwing on a set of clothes much cooler than the fur coat. It no doubt would have felt better to just be naked without the annoying restrictions of stitch and fabric, but alas that would probably be rude. Not that Prisilla gave a shit about that, but Mr. Lycan here probably would-- so she remained clothed as a silent 'thanks' to his good work.

When he was tossed off he was glad he could get the basilisk's eyes out.  When Prisilla bit the basilisk and ripped of the chunk of flesh the basilisk took off before he could react.  He was going to chase it but his stomach growled from hunger.

Lark changed back into his human form and put his clothes on.  He kept his eye adverted as she put her clothes back on, he didn't want to be disprespectful.  Three wolves ran up to him and he pointed in the direction the basilisk went, they didn't waste a second in going after it.  He walked over to the chunk of snake flesh and licked it a few times.  "Hmm... needs salt."  He said taking a bite out of it.  "Still good though.  Want some?"  He said holding it out toward her if she wanted some.
