He wasn't sure what he was feeling.
It was like...everything was shifting suddenly. Like he was moving really really fast, but standing still! There was a darkness too, which meant that he was getting...well, scared. It was dark, there were strange feelings, and...the woman who was beside him...well, the strange...four legged creature wasn't there. Not that he could see anyway. So he tried to run, he tried to get away from this strange darkness that was all around him. That wasn't working out for him at all though.
As fast as the world had disappeared, it was back again.
Oh, and he was running again. Now his legs moved. It must have been an odd site to see. One minute, there was nothing there in the park where a small faery circle was growing, a circle of fungus basically...and the next minute, within that circle...was a tall creature covered in a strange black malleable goop. It had a crown upon its head, and five glowing green eyes as well. It was sure something interesting to see no doubt, more so since it appeared there running, and took off quickly.
Running smack into a large tree in the park. Stumbling backward, the creature held a hand to its head as it fell back onto its bottom and just stared up at the tree. Okay. That hadn't been there in the meadow...where...OH! Right! They weren't in the meadow anymore! They were in...she said a city right? They were in a city, though...there was of course...they were in a park too! He just stared at the tree in front of him, his head was spinning, and he wasn't sure where his friend Elou was. She was supposed to be right beside him wasn't she?
Maybe she took a bit longer.
Suddenly though, he didn't feel so good. So he lay back and just...looked up at the sky. Okay...it was still daytime. Yeah... the suns were up...the clouds were out...wait...the suns? There had only been one before! He covered two of his eyes, and closed a third. OH. There was still only one sun. He must have been a bit...more dizzy after hitting his head against that tree...and the travel. That was okay. Niff let his hands fall away. He was...just gonna stay here until Elou appeared.
Maybe she'd want to lay down as well, and they could just look at the sky and not...do anymore walking into anything. Or any walking...yeah. No walking would be good right now. He'd already made a few...uh...embarrassing things, and he really didn't want to seem like a big joke. He kinda was in some...small way...but that didn't mean he could try and not be the big joke! Or the joke. Maybe a little joke...like a pun.
"Yeah, I'd rather be a pun than a big joke." Niff suddenly said out loud, covering his mouth with his hand. Did he just say that aloud?! That run into the tree had shaken him a little...just a little.
