Colonel Mustard

Yuluman ignored the taunt and lunged forwards, shield up to either smash or defend against a counter attack. At his side, the chunks of twisted armour rose up with him, whirling around his flanks as a shield should Kirnardaz's pet choose to strike again.

In a moment, he closed the distance, mace slamming down.

Kirnardaz felt the mace take impact and went flying. It hurt a lot, but his demonic resistance meant he sustained little permanent damage. He hit the cave wall, knocking rock everywhere.

He shook off as much as he could in the way of damage, and lunged forward, flinging fire in 3 separate waves at Yuluman, hoping they would soften his armour.

Colonel Mustard

Yuluman hunkered down, raising his shield and lowering his wings as Karnaridaz's flames roared towards him. He reeled back against the force from the magic, barely keeping his feet, and the rag-and-paper pinions on his back blackened and scorched from the heat.

He managed to keep his shield up and hold his footing, but could do little else in response.

Brisinger987

Kirnardaz sunge his swords wildly through the flames as the lave wave hit, following an X, II, =, + attack set, snarling as he went. He was actually thinking in this battle, instead of just fighting wildly. It was difficult.

((OOC: The X, II, =, + thing is just the shapes he's tracing in the air with the swords))

Colonel Mustard

Yuluman managed to block the blows, barely, the speed and power behind them meaning he could do little more than keep his shield in their way. Even then, at the final attack of a crossing slice one of the blades reached past his guard and sliced along his breastplate, the edge of the blade cutting a painful gash into his armour and sending silvery blood leaking from the wound.

Ignoring the pain, Yuluman kept his shield raised and swung his mace in a sideways, sweeping blow towards Karnardaz's flank.

Brisinger987

The blow landed and knocked Kirnardaz into the wall. He coughed as he got up, spitting out black blood that was his own. This angel didn't appear to be giving up.

Kirnardaz threw a flurry of fire attacks, waves in a random order, a random mixture of -|\/ shapes.

Colonel Mustard

The fire took Yuluman by surprise, and hit him hard. He reeled back, blasted, scorched and battered, and forced himself upright with a grunt of pained effort.

Flapping one of his wings against the other to put out the flames that were crackling merrily upon them, he backed away towards the entrance of the cave, stance defensive. The demon had absorbed the ring's power and Yuluman was not confident in his chances; he had lost this battle already, and he was not willing to throw away his life in a pointless fight. All he needed now was an opening with time to get to safety.

Brisinger987

Kirnardaz thought he had crushed the soul. He thought he had crushed it. But it had bided it's time. It resurged, trying one last time to wrestle for control of the demon.

Kirnardaz keeled over, his head pounding and screaming at him.

"This is my body now, demon."

"No-one possess' me you worthless fire spirit!"

The two voices emanating from Kirnardaz's motionless lips argued and struggled while Kirnardaz's body thrashed about.

Colonel Mustard

"This is my body now, demon."

"No-one possess' me you worthless fire spirit!"

Yuluman hesitated as his enemy began to thrash and contort, and he guessed what had happened. He weighed his options as briefly as he dared; Kirnardaz was wide open for a strike, but considering the hardiness the demon had demonstrated so far, Yuluman doubted he would be able to kill or cripple him in a single blow. And if he didn't do that, then he would almost certainly be defeated.

Instead, he turned towards the entrance of the cave and fled. As he reached open air, he spread his scorched wings and slammed them down with all his might, pushing himself upwards. His flight was slowed and uneven by the damage Kirnardaz had inflicted, but hopefully he could now get away and live to fight another day.
