Irving moves peacefully down the dirt street at a slow and steady, market stalls and shops lining each side of the street with people going about there daily business shopping and conversating. He continues his pace forward for a few more steps before coming to a stop as he pauses in his stride, his gaze shifting as he glances around at his surroundings for a brief moment while drawing in a slow deep breath of air.

Though he had stopped moving some of the people going about there day had to shift and step around this stranger that had come to a stop in there path, some even giving looks. Standing in the middle of the street Irving was dressed in a normal garb, dull leather boots, a pair of simple pants with some patch work sown on to keep them in working order a long sleeved shirt with the sleeves rolled up above his elbows a set of leather braces on his wrists and a sword sheathed at his left side.

The sun rested high in the sky at around roughly noon, perhaps a little after noon, though most may consider it to be to have lunch. Exhaling slowly Irving lifts his gaze from his surroundings and glances towards the sky for a moment. Though he was out and about the male had not come to a conclusion on what he wished to do with the rest of the day he had. Still Irving remained motionless his gaze remaining on the sky before he shifts it from the sky and lets out a soft sigh.

Finally after remaining set in place a moment longer Irving shifts a foot and takes a step before following it with another as he starts to move once again, his pace slow as it was before though he had begun to move. As he begins to move once again Irving brings his gaze down from the sky and looks ahead once again.

As Irving observed the happenings on his walk, there seemed very little out of the ordinary.  People walked from one point to another, they gathered in small clumps by doorways to gossip, they stopped off at small merchants stalls to pick up this and that... all in all there was really very little to take ones attention.

This lack of extraordinary occurrences is the only reason the soldier might take interest in the following scene.  A very short distance down his path, there was a vendor selling bread.  With loaves of all shapes and sizes lining the stand, the smell of the freshly baked goods was noticeable even in the open air of the street.  While the man within the stall was difficult to see, the young woman stopped in front of it was not.  Holding a small basket in one hand, she fumbled through a tiny pouch for her money with the other.

The woman was, like most everything on the street, not particularly noteworthy.  Her attire was that of the peasantry, a pair of dark colored breeches that were perhaps a touch too big, a loose white shirt with long sleeves held tight by a few leather straps, and dark grey (Nay, almost black) under-bust.  Despite the slight chill in the air she wore no jacket, and the only accent to her attire was a thin black ribbon in her hair, used to hold the straw-colored locks up into a tight bun.

Beyond her attire, the girl wasn't particularly interesting either.  With fair skin and barely a curve to be seen, she wasn't exactly the picture of beauty by Connlaoth standards, but she had a pretty enough face.  Everything about her was petite, from her height of just over five feet to the delicate features of her jaw and nose.  The only thing that didn't seem "small" about the girl was her eyes, wide and innocent looking with a clear, earthy, hazel color.

Eventually, the girl stopped searching through the small bag, resorting to setting her basket down and emptying the bag into her palm.  A few coins fall free, and she offers them to the vendor.  The man visibly raises a hand to wave her away, eliciting a look of deep worry from the young woman.  She began to speak hurriedly, a pleading expression on her face, but it only got a louder response from the vendor, quickly making her fall silent.  While Irving was likely close enough to hear the man's arguments, the actual words were of little concern, and whenever he would go on the girl only fell into silence, clearly incapable of being heard over the louder voice of the vendor.  The poor thing looked almost ready to cry, but she still stood there, waiting for a chance to speak as Irving approached.

Moving forwards Irving keeps his gaze fixed ahead of him as he remains silent, enjoying the simple and peaceful nature of his stroll even though he was moving through the market, it was still peaceful to him. With each breath he took the faint smell of freshly baked breads assaulted his sense of smell though it was something he did not mind aside from the increase it brought in his desire to get something to eat.

With the smell of bread making him grow hungry Irving began to give thought to perhaps making a stop to perhaps pick up a small sack. However after giving it some thought Irving decided to skip on getting some bread knowing it would not matter much if he did not stop and get something to eat since he was not that hungry. Having come to the conclusion to skip getting some bread Irving had no intention at stopping in his walk.

Drawing closer to the stall Irving heard the sound of yelling that caught his attention since yelling could possibly lead to violence, though he hoped it would not lead to such a thing. As he moved closer Irving began to hear what the yelling was about. It seemed that the young lady could not pay for the bread and the vendor was not willing to negotiate. Though he knew it was non of his business Irving also knew that he had the power to step in and help the young lady even though no one else was willing to.

Coming to a stop at the stall Irving first looked to the young lady before he turned his attention to the vendor as he spoke up, " Excuse me good sir. " Irving says as he begins to speak, his tone soft and calm as he addresses the irritated male, " I will be paying for what this young lady wishes to purchase. " he says, his gaze shifting from the vendor to look to the young lady that had fallen silent.
