Looks:
Sevda dresses as you would imagine a typical Connlaoth noble woman to. The only things you will never see her wearing are pants and sleek dresses—in other words, she'll only wear things that allow her to conceal her peacock tail. That's right, she has a peacock tail. It is the bane of her existence, and she silently prays every night that it will be gone in the morning. But it's always there. The tail itself is a typical peacock tail*... green with blue circles.

Sevda herself has olive skin and straight, silky black hair. She normally leaves her hair down, where it cascades down her back. Sevda has dark red lips and matching red, almond shaped eyes. Her frame is thin though her curves are not... it is undeniable that she is a true beauty. But she doesn't believe it.

*only male peacocks actually have the colorful tail, but let's ignore that detail.

Personality:
Sevda is confined and silent. She doesn't talk much to anyone, especially about things relating to herself. In Sevda's mind, no one will ever find her beautiful because of her peacock feathers. She thinks that she can never get married, have kids, or live a normal life. In other words, Sevda has absolutely no self confidence. She looks at others with envy and, occasionally, hatred. However, more than others, she hates her mother and herself.

History:

Birth Story
Nava and Sevda were identical twins born in Connlaoth. Their father, Pabul, had been sightseeing in Reajh when he met their mom, Nearra. They had one night of fun, thinking nothing of it. A little over a month later, she found him again to tell him that she was pregnant. There was no way for them to marry—not only was he Thanati, he also had magic he was unwilling to give up. He tried to convince her to go back with him to Thanatos, but she wouldn't. Pabul stayed and visited her daily, hoping that she would change her mind. But Nearra was prideful and loved her home country. As her stomach expanded larger and larger, they realized that she was going to have twins. Nearra was horrified, believing twins were a curse, while Pabul was elated, believing that they were a blessing. He once again tried to convince her to run away with him, and she once again rejected. The babies were born and something happened that astonished them both.

Not only were they identical twin girls, they both also had peacock tails. It was a trait that appeared every few centuries in her genetics, Nearra explained, said to be given to them by an old witch. She had always taken it as a petty tale, but now she was holding proof that it wasn't so. At this point, they both knew they had to do something. After much arguing, they finally came to an agreement that left neither of them happy.

They were each to keep one baby. Pabul kept Nava, knowing that keeping the other child—who had been born with red eyes—would not fare well in Thanatos. Nearra kept Sevda and was to say that the other baby died. If she didn't say so, they knew that Savda would be said to only have half a soul.

Growing Up
Sevda grew up in a harsh environment. She was taught by her mother to never show her peacock tail and to always distrust others. She wasn't to talk to anyone lower than their family, who, in her mom's eyes, seemed to be everyone. Even as a child, Sevda could tell that her mother didn't like her. One day, she had heard servants talk about how she only had half a soul. When she told Nearra about it, her mother simply said, "Don't listen to the servants, dear." She didn't deny it. As Sevda grew older, she learned it was better for her to simply not talk at all. She listened, observed, and looked at the world with a cold glare. Over time, she gained a reputation for being the Ice Princess. Suitors come hoping to win her fortune and to be able to brag that they were able to melt her heart. While her mother always lets them stay as long as they wish and treats them with hospitality, both Sevda and Nearra know that she could never get married. After all, how would she be able to have sex without the man realizing that she has peacock feathers attached to her? With her mother as prideful as she is about their bloodline, Sevda was always surprised she didn't try to have more kids. The truth, which she still hasn't learned, is that her mother lost her fertility after having twins. Sevda grew up never hearing about neither Nava nor Pabul.
