Going inside the cave, some parts of the walls slick with moisture and ice, the ice mage looked around for a moment. There seemed to be nothing of interest here, except for the smell she had detected earlier seemed to be a bit stronger now. She still couldn't tell what it was though.
Pausing, Adelaide looked back at Cryce and then moved a bit further towards the back to take a look at the opening she could see better now that they were inside the cave itself. The path led a ways in a straight line and then to the right, before snaking sharply downwards into pitch blackness. So she had been right in her assumptions. There was a tunnel which led underneath the earth here. Where it led and what they would find down there if they chose to go in, who could say?
Nonetheless the possibility of adventure was intriguing to say the least. Adelaide had a torch with her and some tinder so seeing down there wouldn't be a problem, but it also had the unwanted side effect of alerting whatever might be down there to their presence. And that wouldn't be so smart. So, the choice came down to plunging onward and braving the dark, using a torch, coming back at a later time or not going down at all. Again, she hesitated.
