IN-DEPTH STUFF

Physical Description
Axia might not be what immediately comes to mind when one imagines a "dragon". She possesses two particular traits that would make her easy to tell apart from many other dragons. For one thing, she is noticeably smaller than what would generally be expected from a dragon of her age. Secondly, her scales have a strange quality about them- They take on a pearlescent shine when exposed to light, complementing their usual silvery colour. Other than that, though, her body is similar to many other dragons, standing on four legs and having wings sprout from her back. Her eyes have an unusually bright blue colouration, lighting up even more when she's excited or surprised.

Axia also has a humanoid form, though it had a few qualities that are... distinctly not human. She looks to be roughly the equivalent of a young adult, or perhaps someone in their late teens, and her build is not particularly remarkable. Long, platinum blonde hair flows down her shoulders, and her eyes carry the same light blue colouration that they have in her draconic form. As for the not-so-human qualities, they consist of features from her dragon form- Namely, her wings and scales. These features persist in her human form for whatever reason, although reduced in size to fit her new form. The wings emerge from around her back, and the scales are scattered around several parts of her body. They can be seen most prominently along her back, as well as the backs of her arms and legs.

Personality
Axia's most defining characteristic would almost certainly have to be her insatiable curiosity- she wants to know EVERYTHING. She knows that there will always be something more out there for her to learn, and she's more than willing to put in the effort to do so. Because of this, she has a tendency to push boundaries and occasionally poke around at things she probably shouldn't, but she's also likely to lend a hand to someone in need if she thinks she'll be able to learn something new from the experience. She's very familiar with the world changing around her and is quick to adapt to it (although this doesn't mean she can't be caught off guard- she can be quite the daydreamer and often gets lost in her own thoughts).

She also places a lot of value on her personal freedom, and attempts to assert control over her typically don't go over too well. "Because I said so" or similar arguments drive her crazy- if you're going to tell her that she needs to do (or not do) a certain thing, then there had better be a damn good reason for it. Being forced to stick around in a particular area or situation makes her anxious, and it's difficult for her to stick to routines.

Axia's mood can fluctuate pretty wildly as the world and circumstances around her change- it's a natural consequence of the way she adapts so readily to what's happening around her. In general, though, she tries to maintain an upbeat and optimistic attitude. After all, you can hardly learn much if you're too focused on moping around all day!

Magic/Abilities
Axia possesses some fairly powerful light magic. Not to be confused with holy magic, her abilities are more focused around utilizing radiant energy and bending the light around her. She can use her magic do things like throw bright pulses of energy, blind others with a brief flash of light, or manipulate light to create harmless illusions. However, she does have a limited pool of energy- in order to "recharge" her magic, she needs to be exposed to light and replenish her reserves over time.

Other fun stuff!
- While she can technically dismiss her wings temporarily in human form, it makes her uncomfortable to be without them for too long- the way she sees it, they're always part of her.
- She doesn't really maintain a "hoard". She's too temperamental to get attached to anything long enough to want to hoard it, and even if she did, she travels too much to properly manage one.
- Most certainly is not afraid of the dark, how dare you suggest such a thing.
- Probably falls asleep in sunbeams.

Relationships
Nothing too serious. It's rare for her to stick around for long enough to make strong connections.

History
Axia's thirst for knowledge started making an impact on her life at a very early age- she would make use of each and every opportunity she got to explore the areas around her home, including the particularly dangerous ones (much to the annoyance of whoever was tasked with taking care of her at the time). Her constant questions and boundary-pushing quickly wore down the patience and energy of the dragons who raised her, so there was little resistance from them when, at an age where she could effectively care for herself, she decided to strike out on her own. It was clearly pointless to try and keep someone like her tied down for too long.

She's come across many interesting things since leaving her home, but meeting humans for the first time would be the most impactful. An entire species filled with a level of curiosity that rivalled her own was endlessly fascinating to her, and she quickly found herself interacting more with them than those of her own species (although it was difficult at times- humans could be so skittish!) which eventually inspired her to develop a human-ish form for herself in order to more easily interact with them and her other surroundings. It's by this form that most people know her by at this point, and quite a few of them have a story or two to tell about her... for better or for worse.
