"In case you forgot," Aeizith interrupted, his sanguine eyes locking onto Kaida's knight's firmly. "You, just a second ago, were trying to stop me. At least this way, I get there at whatever speed you deem reasonable. I don't know about you, but that seems fair enough. As for doing things myself... If you'd kindly get out of my way, I'd gladly do so." His stutter suddenly disappeared, his voice having something of a cool mild edge, but anyone with enough sense and had been paying attention this whole time, one would know that his wrath wasn't for her really... It was built up over the course of events. Between Amira's surprise encounter striking him in the face, Kaida's kidnapping of his Silver... It was all just a little too much to keep completely composed. Still, he refrained from outright killing the girl or even slinging an insult. He showed as much respect as he were able under the circumstances he hoped Amira realized this... Choose between him and Emilia... What a laugh... What choice? There was no choice! She'd already left him before all of this and now stood united with the black-hearth family. Which reminded him or Electi... Heh... He guessed big brother turned out to be as much of a disappointment as he was.... Ironic...What more needed to be said that wasn't just hot air? Sadly, he figured Jaela had a lot more to spout...
Aeizith looked at Amira questioningly, looking into her eyes to catch any hint of apprehension or anything that would signify the changing of her mind. If not, the little frost dragon would look back at the rock wall and instantly, the stone would flash-freeze, the air around it as cold as the arctic blizzards far north and south. Suddenly, the rock would shatter, massive boulders collapsing on top of them... dissipating themselves into sparkling icy dust before they could enter a threatening distance. Without skipping a beat, the ice dragon shoved his hands into his pants-pockets and began storming off in the direction of what once was home, but at a normal-human pace, easily enough for both women to keep up with casually. They'd be able to see that with each step, a frosty boot-print seared its way into the wet-ish dirt below them, slowly spreading its way outward from the confines of it's impression. Not once did Aeizith look back to see if the two were following him, or to check their reactions to his behavior. He really didn't care at this point... He had nothing to say, nothing Kaida's knight had to say interested him... Just about the only one he'd lend an ear to now was Amira, and that was because she remained at least somewhat respectful of their past together.
Even without seeing it or feeling it on their skin, one could feel Aeizith's slow decent into a dark, dark place. There was no one clear emotion he was feeling, more of a perverse, necrotic soup of feelings that swirled about in his head and pooled in his stomach. While he was nowhere close to a breaking-point, the small, unassuming frost dragon certainly looked like he'd kill the first man that'd step in his way.... And that's exactly what he did... It wasn't long before they found themselves on a road, wide and stretching, one perfect for caravans... But there was but one traveler walking down here at this time of night... An old man, unassuming, tattered in rags. He looked almost hopeful, staring off in the direction the trio had come from... and then it was all over... In an instant, the man's body flash-froze inside and out, every organ stopping instantly... Just as quickly, the little frost dragon, without even stopping, beckoned the frozen body over to him, ripping out his throat with his teeth, spraying blood everywhere. Gulping down the fluid needily, Aeizith, with his other hand, caught the man's soul as it rose from his body in an icy prism, tossing it over his shoulder at Amira as he had no use for it anyhow. Aeizith needed this blood... he need a pick-me-up... he was thirsty, he was frustrated... He needed this. The dragon would toss the body off into the road casually before his body became encased in frost, the chill seeming to layer and layer until it broke, shattering like glass, a clean Aeizith emerging from it's confines. Still, he said nothing... He couldn't hear them how far he'd descended..... willingly.
