Looking at his personal journal he was recollecting the past once more, as he usually did on a daily basis. Thinking about his brother, his father and sometimes even about the people in his village, even though he stopped caring about them a long time ago.
Deciding that it was time to train again he put his journal back in his pack and got up, walking towards the nearest ruined house to continue his daily training. The ruins were a perfect place to train for someone of his caliber, as people generally avoid this place. Here he could train without accidentally hurting someone else, and even if he did his murder would be hidden within the cursed ruins of this blasted place.

Finding a nearby wall that looked thick enough for him he started getting ready to swing his sword. Looking down at it, his facial expression saddened visibly as he thought back to his brother before steeling his resolve once more. Slowly bending through his knees and slightly forward he reached for Kanashimi no Jōzu and poured a moderate amount of Ki into the scabbard.

"Fāsutosutoraiku: U~idō mēka"

His words resonated against the walls before he pushed his thumb against the blade's collar and pushed out his blade before drawing at a speed thought impossible to reach and slashed horizontally against the wall, creating a sonic boom and cutting the wall in half, even though it didn't crash or move an inch. The sonic boom threw hundreds of small rocks and pieces of debris in the air. This was a standard practice of him, as he could train his ultimate defense using the tiny rocks.

"Kyūkyoku no shisei: Inazuma No Junbi"

Transitioning into his Ultimate Defense stance he closed his eyes and immediately shut off every sense he did not need. While time seemed to slow down to a crawl for him, he readied himself to strike. Purely focusing on sensing the small stones that were entering his Zero ryōdo he quickly slashed at every single one that entered his area of sense and sheathing his blade every time he hit something before drawing again, repeating the same cycle over and over again for every single stone. In a matter of seconds hundreds of stones littered the ground around him, all of them cut in half. Deciding to knock down the wall in its entirety he sheathed his blade and focused intensely, gathering a massive amount of Ki at an intense rate.

"Sekandosutoraiku: Burasuto"

His voice was strained because of the intense flow of Ki raging through his body. Drawing his blade once more he slashed upwards this time, followed by an extreme explosion of Ki that absolutely shattered the wall and the ground in front of him, creating a crater a few meters deep and 10 meters in length behind.

After he trained at least a few of his strikes he permanently sheathed his blade and started working on his hand to hand combat. Using several different types of strikes in sequences against a different wall, he continued on doing this until at least afternoon before heading back to his camp.

His camp consisted of a simple pack of stuff that he kept on him at all times and a sort of bed roll, which he used simply to lay his head on whenever he went to sleep. Taking his Journal out of his pack again he began to read in it again, mainly about the fight with his brother as his facial expression started to sadden again.

Adrienne

This was such an odd mission.

Adrienne had received a tip from a village (from god knows how far back) that there had been some kind of thing terrorizing the woods. She had been stupid enough this time to believe this tale in a strange new land, and bored enough to go after it without any real reward in sight. I mean, other than the satisfaction of taking a win. That was never boring.

This however, had been getting old fast and until she reached this vast land of ruins, it was as if she had been going aimlessly in circles. Adrienne's pride had been spared at the very least since she was clearly the only person (let alone thing) around these parts to be embarrassed for being lost in front of. As things go, this too was ripped from her as soon as she heard the lull rolling of a male type voice.

"Great," she thought to herself sarcastically,"As if today could be any more of a blow out."

Reasoning that observation before approaching has always been her best bet, she held back behind a stone pillar and watched. She was exceedingly attentive as to not let the bow or battle axe strapped hanging from her shoulders clink together, though it didn't seem as if it would matter because this individual was seemingly in focus with practice. All of a sudden he hit his peak, and the ground and wall in front of him shattered into bits, leaving a fresh impression on the earth. The Huntress backed up from the pillar she had been pressed against, in the event the impact would create a domino effect.

It didn't, thankfully, and the figure continued to practice but without weaponry. It may seem creepy, but Adrienne stayed to watch from behind for as long as it took. She was dedicated to her cause, and if this person or possibly thing proved to be a threat- she would have the upper hand by lengthy observation. Maybe then she'd have the chance to predict what he'd do so she could be two steps ahead. All she had to do was stay far enough away that she could stay concealed.

She did this all the way he walked to...wherever, which ended up being a small camp. Call it strange, but Adrienne had a one track mind and winning was her only option. If it came to that of course, but she could never risk it nor be too careful when given the opportunity. She waited til the individual sat and seemed less of a threat to make herself known.

The Huntress walked down from a hill and threw away her quiet facade so he could hear her and hopefully not go fight or flight right away. She waited to speak however until she was closer, with any luck he spoke more tongues than the one she'd heard earlier.

"So uh, what's your end goal? Doesn't really seem like anyone could venture out here without one." She reflected on her day for a moment before piping up again with an eyeroll,"I mean, at least not on purpose."

ValamLym

It had happened again hadn't it? the beast had taken over. She knew it had happened, the pool of blood, the clear signs of struggle.. And her sitting in the middle of it. She knew she shouldn't have come here, this place brought out the worst in her. But it was undeniably an amazing location for science. Of-course, she initially looked for the body.. before realizing that she knew exactly where that went. Clutching her chest, she visually gagged, but naturally that didn't help, the beast would feed her, even if she didn't want it. At-least he didn't struggle anymore, that would just make it worse.

Finally collecting herself she got back up, eyeing her surroundings. She had seen flyers about her beast in the city, how it terrorized the people and destroyed families. She knew it wasn't that bad, but people loved over reacting, it was hardly a wonder why though. Who wouldn't be terrified of such a creature, unstoppable by mortal means? she was a monster, but she had made peace with that by now.

Figuring the place was remote enough she didn't bother cleaning up the mess, the benefit of the transformation being that the mess that would've covered her monstrous counterpart didn't cover her, so she showed little traces apart from appearing a little shaken. Getting her bearings, she realized she was far away from her carriage and horses, the beast had chased far, no doubt toying with the poor man or woman.

After a while of walking she came back upon her carriage, noting a commotion. Someone was no doubt doing SOMETHING here, it initially sounded like fighting but she quickly noted the sound being a blade on stone. After the bounty on my head no doubt.. she thought, figuring it wasn't worth inciting the pressence she took a chair from the carriage and placed it outside, along with a alchemical table. She didn't try to hide her presence from the two figures in the distance, as she figured that was even more suspicious. As such, she simply continued her work, mixing elixir after elixir, but keeping a keen eye on the two in the distance.

After a while she had to test one of her elixirs, a volatile one, to say the least. Thats why she had come here after all. To be able to test combat elixirs in relative peace. These two would simply have to cope. Taking some distance from her carriage, she plugged a cork in the vial and tossed it into the ruins mere steps away from her. Seconds later, a loud sizzling was heard as the chemical reaction chained, the liquid coming into contact with the earth violently ripped it apart atom by atom causing a mushroom cloud explosion the size of a house. Rubbing her hands together Victoria nodded with satisfaction, taking her notepad from her side and writing down her success and what she could potentially alter.

''Maybe.. I can make this bigger.''

As he was reading about his book he felt like he was being watched. He had this uneasy feeling since he started training without his sword but couldn't find out from where it came. Deciding to ignore the uneasy feeling however he went on reading through his journal until he reached the part about his brothers life and their battle. His facial expression seemed to switch between happy as he was reading about their years together training under their father, and anger and sadness after he reached the part where they grew apart and where he had to kill his twin.

A sudden sound that came out of nowhere however immediately made him jump up, putting his journal away and reaching for his sword in a single motion. Standing ready to strike should some animal jump out on him he looked around him until he looked around him until he finally saw what had made the noise.

It was a... woman? What was a woman doing in a place like Fell? He knew why he was here, he was here for training and purely that, but she didn't look like she was planning on spending the night anywhere near here.

Eyeing her up while he still held his  hand on his sword, he finally heard her voice and noticed that she spoke in the common tongue. Hearing her ask what he was doing here made him raise his eyebrow slightly. Wasn't it obvious what he was doing here? He assumed that it was her that gave him the feeling that he was being watched all along.

"I don't have an end goal, I'm just here to train without the chance of accidentally hurting someone. This place is perfect for that, everyone stays away. Except for you apparently, what are you doing here? You shouldn't be here."

Making sure that she knew that he was ready if she tried anything by keeping his hand on the hilt of his sword, he made conversation with her, or at least tried to in his own way. He was flustered slightly by the appearance of someone else in this god forsaken land, let alone a hunter. At least, he assumed she was a hunter, the way she dressed kind of gave it away.

It was then that he heard an explosion of sorts in the distance. He immediately turned towards the noise and saw a woman next to a carriage of sorts and a mushroom cloud the size of a house. What in the devil was going on today? I thought this place was supposed to be quiet.

Turning his attention back to the most immediate person he looked her straight in the eye, waiting for her to make a move as he did not like leaving his back open to someone he did not know. Not even if it was to check out who was blowing up half the place.

Adrienne

"Everyone stays away. Except for you apparently."

Adrienne almost stopped listening here out of using energy to stifle a full chested chuckle. This was a common assumption put on her, and one she was damn proud of. She was pushy, she got what she wanted... but that also didn't go to say that she sometimes ended up in places she wasn't wanted or didn't want to be. Like here!

"Smart decision, it's pretty remote." She looked at his sword and said with the laugh still stuck in her throat, making her voice sound friendlier,"You can drop that act, I'm here for work and I don't believe you're what I'm looking for, don't flatter yourself." She tried to make him seem more comfortable by using casual talk with him as he looked fairly anxious.

All until a massive sound rang through the air and the ground shook in waves. Adrienne would have felt the slightest bit of foolish had she had the time for telling the man in front of her to drop his weapon. Because she too went to defense, looking to graze that situation before reaching behind for her bow and arrows. If the new character was a threat, at least the gentleman with her would be bound with her as an ally- as they'd likely have a common goal. Instead though he looked at her though with skepticism.

"Don't look at me like that, I'm not the girl who almost poofed your camp. I have no ulterior motive here." With that she nodded to the woman to their right as a gesture of unity (if it was needed) and turned to face her but stopped halfway,"Oh, and uh, keep the weapon drawn. You've got close contact, I've got range." She would wink and smirk a little, realizing she was being foolish and knowing that could be risky. The wink was for the one liner, but the smirk was more for her. She grew amused at herself at how little she cared about the danger out of nothing interesting happening all day.

She would call out to the woman, as it was doubtful there were more beings than the three of them out there,"Hey!" She kept it neutral, in order to observe the woman's response and act from there.

Victoria had not dropped herself in her chair or she had already thought of a new concotion to test. In this place she could finally let her science rule. Ofcourse that was not going to happen without getting the attention of these two. However the test results were more than worth it.

Hearing the sudden "Hey" Victoria got up from her chair and fixed her eyes on the origin of the voice. Noting the stances they had taken she figured she had caused them to be suspicious of her. Hardly a surprise to her ofcourse. She casually strolled toward the two, making sure to not seem agressive.

It may have seemed odd, an un armed woman walking straight up to two armed strangers but what they did not know is that this woman was more likely better armed then both of them put together. However, even without that her innocence usually disarmed most people.

"Hey there!" she exclaimed almost excitedly as she closed in on the two eventually stopping to keep a moderate distance between the two and herself. "Sorry about that. I am an alchemist.. this place is perfect for testing." she smiled warmly at the two. Taking a moment of pause she eventually gestured for them to come over "I got tea if you want... No, normal tea.. before you even ask." she looked at the two almost expectantly before turning around and walking back "Are you two here for something?"

She finally sat back down in her chair looking at the vials in front of her. Like most scientists she was quickly lost in her work again and did not really care whether the two would actually follow. If they did then perhaps she could enjoy their company under a cup of tea.

Seeing that the woman next to him was not here for  him he relaxed a bit more around her before turning his attention back to the woman that caused the explosion. He ignored her remarks however as he felt he had no time for any nonsense when a possible lunatic was walking towards them. However he noticed that she was unarmed and finally loosened the grip around the hilt before whispering almost inaudibly to himself

"Not today, brother"

Finally leaning back up and getting out of his combat stance he finally stood at his full length again, towering over the woman near him and the one approaching them casually. He felt it was kind of weird that she woman was approaching two fully armed people without any armament herself, but he shrugged it off. At most she was just stupid, he thought.

Walking towards the woman near him he kept his eyes on the third person approaching them now, eyeing her from top to bottom as he usually does when he sees someone strange.

"I think you can relax, I don't think she's dangerous when she's enough of an idiot to approach two armed people without anything to defend herself with."

Sounding slightly condescending as he half whispered this to her he was finally able to notice the finer details about the third woman. She had a nice body, he thought to himself before discarding the thought again. What stood out most however was her platinum colored hair. He had never seen this before as he hailed from a place where most people had brown or black hair. It was unique to him and threw him off slightly.

It was then that the woman was close enough to them and started talking, asking them out for... tea? He had no idea what was happening at this point. The woman almost blew up an entire house and a minute later she was asking two complete strangers to join her for tea.
"Are you two here for something?"

As he shrugged off the strangeness of this person he decided to follow after her as it couldn't hurt, but then remembered that were was another person here. Turning around halfway until he was facing her, he asked her.

"You think we should follow her?"

Adrienne

This woman was either dangerous or far too confident. Given she had the magic, but against twice the amount of bodies as her that were larger and with more weapons? Alright then...

"I think you can relax, I don't think she's dangerous when she's enough of an idiot to approach two armed people without anything to defend herself with." Said the man, who she strangely still didn't know the name of. "Right? I don't know, maybe its this land but- not how I was brought up." Adrienne thought for a second longer,"She does have that magic thing she did though, let's keep an eye or two on that."

The small woman nearly skipped up to them and asked them for tea. She was like a porcelain doll, far too little and adorable to be much of a threat but one could never be too careful. Adrienne didn't even reply to her comments, merely watched them go by like clouds.

She stood still stammered with how strange that encounter really was, and watched her...ally (?) walk away with her. Before she could ask him what in the hell he was doing, he turned around and consulted her, finally confirming that he was, in fact, an ally.

"You think we should follow her?" he questioned Adrienne now, leaving the approval up to her. She would gesture him closer to her so she could speak without shouting,"Sure but, be aware. I at least made sure you knew I wasn't going to hurt you, not getting that from this one." Adrienne would start walking with him now if he complied, and making sure her daggers were at ready to grab if need be,"Name's Adrienne, by the way."

Taking a vial from the standard Victoria looked up at the two arrivals, catiously approaching her. They clearly thought her mad, which was perfect. They would never suspect her to be a living nightmare. Which in turn garnered the attention of her inner friend, her eyes turning black for a split second, before reverting to their old self. Naturally, Victoria didn't even move a muscle to stop it, figuring that would just further cement that it actually happened. So far, these two were playing along nicely and that might just save both her lives.

You need to calm down.. they are no threat. she thought to herself, a thought the beast could hear without a doubt, a soft rumbling in her chest came as a response, indicating the beast would stay put, for now. Finally she got up and walked into her carriage, coming back with a plate, three teacups and a kettle. She filled each cup and gave one to the both of them. She couldn't help but laugh in her mind as she figured the two would no doubt inspect the tea, completely oblivious to the fact that half of the chemical concoctions on her table were much more lethal then anything she could ever mix in with the tea.

That was the benefit of the beast though wasn't it? It made her practically immortal, diseases, poisons, none of them worked any more against the rapid mutations that went through the beasts body. The moment a poison would enter its system it would already cook up an anti-body. This is why she became an alchemist, she could cure thousands with that beast, do good. But sadly that also meant being secretive, as the limited minds of most would not be able to comprehend the good she did for the many in exchange for the death of a few. After all, normal food no longer sustained her, it did nothing but cause some minor relief.

''Sooo.. what brings you two here?'' she eventually sat back down behind her table, eyes on her work but ears focused on her new arrivals. She could continue working and speak, that much was clear. It would probably give an impression that worked in her favor anyway, that of a woman absorbed by her work. People were luckily very gullible, these two so far being no exception. ''I take it you didn't come here together? You look at each other with half a mind of distrust.'' she chuckled visually, continuing the mixing of her poisons.

Squishy

''I take it you didn't come here together? You look at each other with half a mind of distrust.''

Listening to the woman speak while he accepted the cup of tea he inspected the various containers that littered the table.  He was very cautious of this strange woman, mostly because she just looked absolutely crazy to him. Everything about her made his inner alarms go off, but he did not know what it was.

"I was training until only a little while ago and I only just now met this woman."
Completely forgetting about pleasantries and everything he just strictly answered her questions while pondering over his thoughts until a very unwanted sensation entered his mind once again. A whisper, a voice which reminded him of his brothers but heavily distorted. Ignoring this sensation however he finally remembered that he still had not introduced himself to either of the ladies.

"By the way, my name is Shuunosuke Amidamaru, I'm a traveler. And who might you be?"
Introducing himself to the both of them he finally took a sip from his tea, without worrying about poison of the sorts that could be in his tea. She's weird but other than whatever she used on the house there, she doesn't look dangerous. The only thing keeping him on edge was his brothers whispering to him. He was... screaming for something.

Closing his eyes he focused on the voice that tried to tell him something. But he did not want to listen, not to this beast that corrupted his brother and tried locking it up inside of his vessel blade again, ignoring whatever it was that he was saying. Opening his eyes again he looked at the people sitting around the table with him.

"So what are you two doing here? You don't look like you're here to train like me. "

Looking at the strange platinum haired woman he quickly looked her over. She had quite beautiful hair, especially since he had never seen this before and her violet eyes seemed to accentuate her face quite well. All in all, she was not ugly by any standard. The other woman however looked much less exotic besides her eyes, which were quite a pretty shade of green for as far as he could see.

He could have struck worse company than this to be sure, like a band of bandits or one of the creatures that seemed to roam these blasted ruins. Sipping his tea once again he waited for their response.

Adrienne

The woman swept about, gathering things to make the said tea. If Adrienne hadn't been watching closely, or maybe even had the experience she had had, she wouldn't have noticed the slight change of appearance. Benefit of the doubt, maybe her own eyes were tired- but that sure as hell looked a lot like...well...hell. Her violet pools flicked black for a split second. Adrienne wouldn't pay heed to it now, but it was surely stored in her head library.

The two with her rambled on for a bit, as Adrienne sat back and listened to their words pass from one another, keeping her 'mistrusting' eyes on the one giving off the cloud of absurdity.

"Adrienne,"she'd say, holding up her end of the question,"I'm a wanderer of sorts-and my walking trail was a bust." She wasn't lying necessarily, just... not telling everything. 'Monster Hunter' is a little bit blunt and shocking, especially in a potential threat situation. "Now I'm here with you fine folks, your turn Blondie."she said to the unnamed almost celestial looking woman across from her. Adrienne didn't like her, didn't trust her, and didn't think it was cute until she would be given a reason to. The tea in front of her not being one- as she did not drink it. This was an act of caution and arrogant assertion of dominance. Adrienne didn't always think her ego through.

ValamLym

''Call me Victoria'' she casually took a sip from her own tea, momentarily distracted by the words of the two before focusing on her work once more. She didn't seem to have lost their suspicions yet. Taking a sip from her tea, she finally looked up to the man who inquired what had brought her here ''My work.. I can usually work here in peace.'' she simply stated, scratching her chin for a moment figuring she put the two on the block ''Care to tell me why you distrust me so? Never met a alchemist?'' she could only imagine what kind of excuses these two would come up with, they'd never pick the right one though, people never were quite in tune with her true self.

''If I wanted to do you harm I would've armed myself.'' she simply stated afterwards, returning to her work.

Squishy

Listening to her explain why she was no thread put him slightly more on edge. She had just blown up half a house with whatever concoction this alchemist had made. I think it was quite a good reason to distrust a certain person, especially one as strange as Victoria. Continuing to inspect the containers strewn about on the table while he was drinking his tea he wondered if any of these were dangerous.

"Well, you just blew up half a house with some sort of brew of yours. I think we have enough reason to be cautious at the very least."

Still sounding like he was slightly on guard he was finally starting to relax around the two people. At least they weren't an immediate threat to him. Turning to Adrienne next he quickly looked over her gear and wondered if she really was just a wanderer. She did not dress like one and was certainly not dressed like one. She carried herself like someone who had seen enough battle.

"So you're a wanderer of sorts eh? You don't look like a regular traveler, what do you do for a living?"

Finishing his tea he put the cup down on the table and put his hands down on his knees, waiting for their responses.

Adrienne

Why would Adrienne mistrust Victoria? She was glad Shuunosuke brought up she was thinking. It sounded at the very east that Blondie over there worked peacefully. Benefit of the doubt, if someone were going to practice bowing things up, it would be here- just as Shuunosuke did with the earth crater.

It was then that he started asking some pretty reasonable questions," You don't look like a regular traveler, what do you do for a living?" It made sense, a regular traveler certainly wouldn't be as well equipped as she was, nor really come out this far. Adrienne had had two choices: One was pretending she was something she was not for caution, or just saying what she was so they wouldn't not trust her. The latter was probably a better deal, now that he asked. Maybe they wouldn't question her as much if she was just upfront, maybe it would even be a small bit intimidating.

"Good eye, I'm a huntress,"here she'd pause and wait for a reaction, then lighten the mood,"Kinda lost the scent though coming out here."

She sat back and began talking to Victoria now,"How long have you been practicing alchemy? As alarming as your explosion may have been, its impressive. I'd call that being armed enough if I were you."

ValamLym

Victoria chuckled in response to the man's statement, clearly he had never met an alchemist before. ''Making concoctions that explode is a lot easier then making ones that heal, the last one being what I normally do. I come here for experimenting, so yes.. those potions are more risky.'' it didn't take a genius to connect the dots with the woman, she wasn't here just like that, she was no doubt after big game and that game could very well be her.

This is one hunt you wont want to follow through on sweetheart..

Victoria thought as she looked at the woman for a moment. ''I've been practicing alchemy for a few years now.'' she paused ''Cured more people then I can count... so I wanted to come out here and do something I thought fun.'' she couldn't help but shrug at how that might've made her look. She wasn't very violent at all, just someone that could enjoy a pretty explosion every so often. That's why she was now working on making the previous explosion the color blue.

Pouring some of the blue liquid with the previous concoction she picked it up and walked over to her previous spot, putting a cork in the vial she then threw it once more, the same chemical reaction triggered and the same mushroom cloud explosion followed, the only difference being that it was no blue. ''Nice..'' she spoke to herself taking the notepad from her side and writing something down on it again.

Moments later, she'd return to her previous sitting position, now hard at work on something entirely new. ''So... what scent were you following? There isn't anything dangerous here. Unless you find old ruins scary.'' she then turned to the man leaning back in her chair ''And you look like a man with a story. I doubt you'd tell it, but at-least tell me where you're from? you dont look like people from the lands around here.''

Squishy

As he got the confirmation that she was a huntress, he just nodded. He had known immediately that she was some type of huntress, no simple traveler travels geared up like that. As he slowly squeezed his hand around the hilt of his sword again, he noticed that he was still hearing some faint whispers. As always they were coming from within his mind, it was his brother or what used to be his brother. It might be this damned place but from the moment he arrived the voice has been surfacing more often that usual.
As the alchemist walked walked over to the same spot she created an explosion the first time he quickly closed his eyes and fought back against the whispers before they got out of hand again, until he was woken up by another explosion. This time however, it was a very bright blueish color, giving it quite a pretty look.

Noticing that Victoria asked him something, he looked back up and at the two women before answering her question.
"I'm from a small town in the east, the town is gone now however. And if I wanted to tell my story we would be sitting here for a while I'm afraid."

Looking back at the one called Adrienne he waited for her answer as to what she was hunting, being geared up enough to supply half an army.

Adrienne

As much as she was annoyed by how seemingly not-cautious Victoria was being and almost showoffish from Adrienne's point of view, she couldn't help but make a mental note at how impressive these feats were. Alchemy was something she saw mostly after she left her family, but not in the place she grew up. These types of people were magicians to her growing up and probably still to her younger siblings. Little did the rest of the Ales family understand how dangerous these people could be, and it was Adri's mission to make sure they never had to.

Victoria asked what Adrienne had been following, and after the eye flick she just barely picked up on earlier, Adrienne thought it wise to try and divert the girl. She could have been upfront with her, Adrienne (at least physically) could overpower this girl with she wanted to, but with the alchemical explosive nonsense she could just drop out of her hands, she didn't wanna mess with her.

Adrienne laughed,"I was fooled into it, I hate to admit. Some old boogieman wive's tale that's quaint and boring. Not enough game..and you're right, doesn't seem to be anything dangerous out here unless you are, Blondie. But you've made tea, so we're good right?" Adrienne wouldn't explain the words, just let the girl glean meaning in the undertones of her inflection.

Adrienne would go on to listen to her comrade's origin story pass off and reply herself,"Fair enough, same for me honestly. Long story short though, I'm not from these lands and I would attribute is to why I'm a wee bit lost. This place isn't like the land I'm from, don't know it like the back of my hands I'm afraid."
