The red sun of the desert was only just peering over the horizon as the desert basked in its soon to be overwhelming heat. Yet the light had just barely skimmed over the roof of the sandstone mansion that would be Alseph's home. Reinizia was already bright eyed and bushy tailed making her way towards his room. Admiring each and every second of the sun's rise in between the archways towards the perimeter of the top level. Held up by somewhat thick marble columns, each with their own depiction of the ocean and it's unpredictability. A homage to Alseph's travels.

Reinizia entered one of the more decorated rooms in the entire place. Gift's, exquisite marble's, and rare crystal's laid strewn about the shelve's towards the upper half. Some clothing strewn about the carpeting as well.

"Hey, Sleepyhead, it's time for your morning workout." Reinizia prodded as she woke Alseph for his morning routine.

"I swear every morning it takes actual effort just to leave the damn bed."

"You'd be the one to know, especially since you've been up so late recently. I'm afraid to even ask why at this point."

"It's nothing, just been hearing things in my head a lot, mind grabbing my undergarments?"

"Say no more."

She had been through this many of times before, but everyday always felt new. A new possibility, new opportunities to be made. Things to inspire her to get up each and everyday. While aiding in clothing Alseph, she asked:

"What're you feeling today? Extra weights? More pull up reps?"

"Let's get to the training room first, but I did have extra weights on my mind as well as..."

"No, we aren't trying that today."

"You've been saying that for the past 3 months now. The least we can do is attempt it.

"And you fail to remember the last time we attempted that little stunt you nearly dislocated your spine.

Alseph attempted his signature move: puppy eye's. "Please Reinizia? You know we've been doing the best to get me functioning there again."

Reinizia handed Alspeh his training shirt. "No is no, and that's final. To ensure that there'd be no more retaliation: "So go ahead get rid of me then. You know you can't find someone as good as me, nor someone who'd be able to tolerate your sorry bum. Let alone take care of you. So go ahead."

Alseph drew a heavy sigh. "Fine, but you better do that gravity thing you do, and then a hard therapy session after."

"As always little prince."

"You of all people know I'm not little." He said while shooting an annoyed look.

Reinizia handed Alspeh's crutches over to him. Once he got situated they made their way towards the underground level that housed the training area. Originally a sparring area for the duo, now is mostly a physical therapy room with only one opening to the outside. Large bars of iron and steel with ringed weights lying about in some corners of the room. Alseph placed his crutches in there little nook while he walked around the room on his hands as a warm up. Reinizia began her enchantment on the room to increase it's gravity. Usually takes a couple of minutes to get the base version going. Upon request from Alseph she can increase the pull even more, but more pull typically takes more time to cast.

"Hey I'm almost done over hear when are ya going t- OOF" Alseph fell to the ground but managed to grab a nearby bar to help him up. "Never mind." Before Alseph began his routine, Reinizia clamped his thighs together at the thighs and calves, along with some ring weights to increase resistance further.

Training began as usual, a couple of sets of pull ups, some balance beam training, gymnast rings, and Alseph's favorite: the uneven bars. "I want to do no weights this time. Just all natural." Reinizia did as requested, removing the magic and weights before settling him on the bars. With a brief exhale he began the yahum alnamr. A series or twirls and dazzling flips. "HEY I THINK I FINALLY GOT THE HANG OF-" Alseph lost focus for a mere second, losing his grip entirely. Reinizia caught him just as he was about to hit the ground.

"How about you wait a little longer before finishing that last set of moves. Focus on the basics first not the advanced cra-"

The courrier knocked onto the entrance of the training room. "Prince Mudabi, I have a message for you.

"Enter."

"To thee my grace. A writing from the Colosseum."

"A request for my presence. I see, thank you, Reinizia please escort him out whilst I get prepared."

"Alrighty."
"Yes, my grace."

It was supposed to be a grand auction.

Spike sucked in a deep breath and stared at his cell doors. Supposedly his current master was quite done with his shit and there had been a private auction of sorts. He wasn't worried about the future - how could he be? It was always the same shit. He was big, scary looking. He'd be out of the colosseum for a few months and then be sold right back. Spike licked his teeth before he finally looked up at his current owner. A large horned man. Stern. Angry.

Always, always got sold or given back.

Sighing loudly, he stood up, held his wrists in front of himself and kept his head down.

Time to be sold again.

It would be easier to just get it over with. Get sold. Be terrible. Get sold back.

He was led to a small room, a few rich looking people who had interest in purchasing a Gladiator. Not all of them wanted him for good reasons. Some had ulterior motives of which he was very used to.

Spike leaned back, rolled his shoulders and did his best to flex what he could. It would be good to make an impression.Spike was all about good impressions and he scanned the room with his bright orange eyes.

"We're missing someone," he heard his master say, and Spike stood all the taller, bored looking and irritated that he had to be here for this at all. Couldn't they just sell him on his reputation by now?

Reiniza aided Alseph into the airship. "What do you think it's this time around? Slave auction? Battle of the best?" "Patience, we'll see what they want once we arrive."

The ship sailed across the desert with remarkable speed. Every bit of hot, dry, and arid air was blown right past them. Being the first of it's kind it only housed a private room for two. Where Alspeph looked outside and admired every moment he was on this beautiful piece of craftsmanship.

"That look on your face never gets old you know that?"

"I'm well aware." Alseph blurted with a slight cocky tone, clearly joking in his mind.

"What's that supposed to mean?

Alspeh chuckled, "nothing."

The ship reached the Colosseum, the duo walked past the auction that was going on nearby. Alseph caught the glance of a horned kulshedra, clearly been sold many of times before. Alseph could only wonder why. He managed to climb into the private section that had been laid out for him. Silk blanket's to cover the blaring heat over the top of his head as well as an assortment of foods lined around him for ease of picking.

The announcer welcomed the merchant prince and all others to the events that were about to unfold.

"These combatants will be tried in a battle, to the death!"

The typical. I hope to see that kulshedra put up a good fight.
