Cynbel was always an early riser, and so too was Gravuun Qo Gram. They functioned well together, and as such their bond had deepened much quicker than other Lancers. By the time the morning sun had dawned over the horizon, the Half-Elf was already up, washed, and changing into his armor. He shot a look over at Adallindis, still asleep in the bed across the small room the two of them had rented. She was a quiet sleeper, with her long, snow-white hair about her head like a cloud obscuring her face from sight. Cynbel gently brushed a lock of hair away from her nose as she slept, his amber eyes shifting to the white-blue of Gravuun Qo Gram's.

To the Dragon's sight it was clear that while Adallindis was asleep, Nonvul'Kendov'Jun was wide awake. The immortal Noble Warrior King did not bother to rouse his Bondmate; his was a patient soul, and the girl had spent the past couple of weeks doing nothing but training her Wind Magic. If anyone was deserving of rest, it was Adallindis. Nonvul'Kendov'Jun gave a near-silent hum of acknowledgement to Gravuun Qo Gram and Cynbel. The two of them returned with a nod. Adallindis was in good hands; Cynbel needed not watch over her until later.

With horned Lancer helm on his belt, the young man ate his breakfast downstairs and set out into the Serenian town of Driftshore. With its location on the Ora river and its proximity to the Adelan border, the town saw not only plenty of trade, but plenty of travelers as well in the form of adventurers moving from place to place, following work. Even the Adelan Dragonriders were not something uncommon here, though the townsfolk usually gave those a wide berth; it is unwise to rouse a Dragon's wrath.

Cynbel found himself out and about. He enjoyed the walk in the cool morning air, before the entirety of the town was awake and in full-swing. It was quieter than usual. It gave him some time to think.

She didn't know what it was, but there was something special about flying at night. Her eyes were sharper than most, but still Kiara relies heavily on the moon and stars to guide them as she and Kit traveled in the early hours of the morning—and she loved it.

So she and Kit had spent much of the previous night flying, since just about midnight, and they raced the rising sun along the path of the Ora. In the grayish light that now lit the earth below, towns and landscape gradually came into clearer view.

Kit yawned, cracking his jaws open wide, and his rider mimicked him a few moments later. "Alright." She let out a breath and pitted his shoulder. "We'd best set down, yeah? Looks like there's a down...there. Just there, see? You should probably land a ways off, maybe that little corpse of trees?"

She leaned over his side to point and the dragon snorted in acknowledgement, nodding, before he tucked his wings and banked into a steady dive. Though Kiara had encouraged him to land outside of the town, the dragon's dove took him over the houses in a shallow pass, drawing a fierce wind behind his passage.

Adallindis and Cynbel had both been traveling for quite awhile, and on top of that they were training as well. At least, Adallindis was; she needed to refine her control over Wind Magic, as Cynbel had demonstrated many times over that it would be incredibly useful for their particular method of travel and fighting. Still, even for as resilient as one could become when tied to a Dragon's Soul... They were still mortal, and needed rest. To that end, they stopped at the town known as Driftshore. It was much like the Graza Estate, right near the border between Adela and Serendipity...

After the secured a small room, it didn't take Adallindis very long to drop on the bed and sleep. Not very refined, but considering everything that had happened in such a short span of time, it was perfectly understandable. Evidently she would be sleeping in longer than her companions would, all rising in the morning before she did... Soon enough, she would awaken and go through a standard morning routine. Wash up, change into fresh clothes. Review the equipment and perform maintenance, then have something to eat. All in all, it was shaping up to be a quiet morning that almost made her nostalgic for home, despite not having left very long ago at all.

Pushing that thought to the side, everything was now in order. It didn't take her too long to figure out that Cynbel had wandered off, probably to explore the town if she had to guess, and as that crossed her mind... She decided to do the same. Adallindis would set out from the inn and see the sights around town. Just around when she had stepped outside, the wind picked up into a strong gust all of a sudden, and the sky darkened momentarily. As she glances up, she realizes that it was a Dragon. One that was very much alive. So, more than likely that was an Adelan Dragonrider.

Adallindis ponders that fact for a moment. Maybe she would run into that individual... Though, first she concerned herself with finding Cynbel.

"Well, time to get moving.", Adallindis muttered to herself under her breath, trying to get motivated. Thankfully it worked, and she began her morning walk.

There was no particular destination in mind, at the moment.

Cynbel had been in conversation with a merchant selling some Thanati scarves. She was quite insistent that he buy one to match his armor; but the price had Cynbel reluctant. True, the smoothness of the Thanati silk felt comfortable and true, the beautiful blue designs on it did match his armor... He wasn't comfortable paying that high a price for a scarf.

"I am sorry, but I just can't-" Cynbel began to respond, but his words were cut short by the sound of startled voices, a momentary shadow, and the gentle brush of an approaching blast of wind.

He lowered his brows in annoyance as he saw some of the more unprepared or uncoordinated folk dropped what they were carrying, or loosely-secured objects like parchment or scrolls being thrown into the air. His eyes shifted to the glowing white-blue of Gravuun Qo Gram and he set his jaw. A quick snap of his fingers and... Nothing. The incoming gust of wind simply dissipated, shunted upwards into the air where it couldn't bother anyone.

"Juvenile bravado..." Gravuun Qo Gram commented. Cynbel nodded in agreement to the Dragon's voice in his mind and ear.

"Excuse me," Cynbel said to the Serenian merchant and turned on a heel to see what this Dragonrider was about.

"I think we startled some villagers," Kiara commented as she slipped down from her partner's back. The dragon snorted and rolled his eyes, then shuffled his wings as he tucked them in closer to his body.

They'd landed in a clearing not too far from the town, but which afforded enough distance that neither Kit nor Kiara felt too cramped by "civilization". Running a hand though her hair, the young woman huffed Kit a breath as she hefted her pack down from Kit's back.

"We need supplies," she muttered to herself. "Basic camping things, maybe some food—and before you aren't I'm not doubting your hunting abilities, I just think I should have a vegetable or something every once in a while."

Kit snorted again and gave her a droll look, but didn't argue. He lowered his head as she swung the bag up over her shoulder and gave her hip a gentle nudge. Kiara smiled and patted his snout. "I'll be back in a couple hours. You should rest, we had a long night."

Rumbling in agreement, the dragon curled around until he was curved nose to tail and shuffled his wings again, settling in as his rider started off back in the direction of the town.

After the whole bit with the Dragon flying overhead, the morning walk became a little more lively, filled with people chatting about the sighting. It may not have been an uncommon appearance, but it was still something impressive to see, it was the type of thing that one never really got used to. To an extent, Adallindis could understand that. It was like a Knight of high recognition riding through town. People stopped, stared, and then chatted about that sort of thing. Though whether they had good or bad things to say would depend entirely on several factors...

In this case, Serendipity and Adela weren't on bad terms, and this was a border town focused primarily on trade, no less. Most people didn't have bad things to say, or if they did, they at least had the mind not to be too vocal about it. Still, it made her sigh a little. She missed the chance for a relatively quiet walk through the town before it's day truly kicked off.

"Ah well...", Adallindis quietly uttered. At least there was a silver lining, it didn't take her too long to find Cynbel. The man certainly stood out in most crowds for a variety of reasons, not that it bothered Adallindis in the slightest. She would soon join his side.

"I take it you're going to see that Dragonrider as well?", she would then query of her traveling companion. Adallindis had to admit that she was pretty eager to meet one as well, though such visitors were not unheard of at her own home, they were still quite rare. Not too many had business with House Graza unless it was to oversee a Rite of Inheritance, for example.

And the rarity of the Rite didn't help matters much there. Still, they were treated as guests of honor when they did come. But this was a chance to meet a Dragonrider outside of such a formal setting. It was a bit interesting to think about. Though her emotions still seemed rather subdued, Cynbel could probably see the signs in her.

The way her eyes focused, and that slight smile on her face. He'd probably seen that more than a few times. Nonvul'Kendov'Jun couldn't help but muse on that for a moment, this was a girl with a Dragon's Soul tied to her very being, and yet she was still just as excited to meet a Dragonrider.

It wasn't long until one Adallindis Graza caught up to him. She looked much more well put-together now than she did when Cynbel saw her asleep in her bed. Whether it was because of Nonvul'Kendov'Jun or not, the woman certainly knew how to have presence. Even when at ease, Adallindis had an air about her that commanded your attention. Her voice possessed such surety when she spoke, even in natural conversation. She truly was meant to be the heiress; but it probably helped that she had the Noble Warrior King to back her up too.

"I take it you're going to see that Dragonrider as well?" Adallindis asked as she picked up her step. The woman practically had to jog to keep pace with Cynbel's long-legged strides. Her bodyguard respectfully slowed himself to match her.

The youngest son of Rhiannon ran a hand through his fur-like hair and unconsciously itched at the iridescent blue scales on the back of his neck. "Yes," he answered plainly, "If only to give that Dragonrider a lecture in courtesy."

There was a certain growl in his last sentence. Cynbel- or perhaps more accurately Gravuun Qo Gram- was annoyed at the obvious disregard for the common folk. While buzzing low was certainly an innocent action, it disrupted the comings-and-goings of those on the ground. He saw parchments and cloth get strewn about on the dirty ground not a minute earlier, and that on its own would affect the livelihood of those people. While things like buzzing low were innocent actions, they carried with them consequences that so many of the nobility seemed to be blithely ignorant of.

Still, that didn't seem to stop Adallindis from being excited to see this mysterious Dragonrider. She had a childlike wonder in her eye and a subtle bouncing gait as she walked alongside him. His lips quirked up a corner; she practically glowed when she was excited. Cynbel donned his helmet and lowered its visor over his eyes, taking the role of 'stoic, mysterious bodyguard' alongside his liege.

They approached, and Cynbel preferred to let his lord speak first.

Adallindis couldn't help but chuckle lightly at what Cynbel had to say. Teaching a Dragonrider about courtesy... Well, he certainly wasn't lacking in some bravery. Most people treated them with the utmost respect, even here in Serendipity. "If I didn't know any better, I'd say you were almost excited at the prospect of a fight, Cynbel.", she teases lightly. Still, she knew that he had a modicum of self control, and she was't going to lecture him on how to behave. He did his part by coming along with her and making sure she was safe in a variety of situations, this one would be no different. Though she doubted that there would be any sort of violence involved. Eventually, they would come across the newcomer making their way into town.

Right from the direction of where that Dragon landed, Adallindis noted that much. These two probably stuck out like sore thumbs, given their choice of apparel -- They certainly weren't local guards to this small town, or anything like that. If one were particularly savvy of the Noble Houses, they might recognize the Graza crests... But, Adallindis would remove all doubt as she takes the opportunity to bow politely to Kiara and introduce herself in the process.
"Greetings, I am Adallindis Graza, Heiress of House Graza.", a rather official greeting.

But she soon straightened herself out, and the conversation took a slightly more casual turn.
"I assume you are the Rider of the Dragon we just saw earlier?", she would then query. Rather interested in hearing more about the individual. Though from the small smile on her face, it was rather clear that Adallindis herself meant no harm. Cynbel, on the other hand... Well, he wasn't saying much at the moment. Rather just standing there looking intimidating as a bodyguard often does. He was rather good at that, and his presence often diffused many situations that might have otherwise turned violent.

Though... She did feel that he made things a little difficult in friendly conversation, from time to time...
"Ah... This is Cynbel. A close companion of mine.", she would then gesture to her ally. Not expecting much more out of him than a grunt or a nod.
