I'll have to modify my previous statement slightly.
Wants
I like substantial threads. I'm more inclined to plan it out, at least a general plotline, rather than jump in somewhere random and write with no plan.
While I like a note of comedy or wit within stories, I do not enjoy (nor am I good at) writing comedy stories. Drama, action, romance, adventure - all good, just not pure comedy.
I do not like any of these themes for the sake of themselves, they need to be a contributing factor to the plot and make sense within character and within the story.
