Neirin Ariancaled had been wandering in those mountains for nearly a week, looking for the organization known as the Syndicate. She was no warrior or expert tracker, but more of a scholarly type, and despite her instincts, this trek was not easy. "Mother would be ashamed of me." she muttered to herself in Aderyn. Like most of her race, Neirin possessed an ability to mimic any sound, which combined with a good ear, would have made Neirin invaluable as a singer. But this aderyn refused to follow the forms. Instead, she made herself the first Aderyn scholar since Aergwyn Afanen...only to find herself broke. Which was why she was seeking the Syndicate. She had heard that the Syndicate took on people of great skill, and Neirin thought herself a greatly talented Aderyn, indeed, humanoid. A combination of Aderyn warrior instinct and scholarly skill, how could she not be?

Of course, she wasn't all she thought she was, this long journey proved. Years of living a luxurious life had weakened her instincts and made her weaker. And this journey had weakened her even more. Her gorgeous aplomado wings were stained with dirt, many a feather out of place. She had a hunch that if she switched into Falcon form, then she would have been even more of a sight than she was now.

Neirin was far too tired to walk some more. The tall, gold-eyed female with the aplomado wings sat underneath a morgui tree, and sighing, ran her fingers through brown-black tresses to do the first preening since last night.
