[Yep, all better! And they are the boom. LLOLL XDD]

Her look didn't bother him at all, that, oh my god, you just threw a fucking knife at me, didn't you you bastard? look. He had gotten it before, but her garbled, 'I..uh...what??' only made him want to hit her hard to make her think. Come on, it wasn't that hard. He had almost done it, succeded in pushing her away until she spoke again, in a tone that made him look at her and want to hold her and soothe her pretty little...

STOP.

Shaking that thought out of his head, he blinked, then murmured, "Just stab them with it." They'd die, peices of trash that only ruined young childrens lives when they were told that mommy and daddy weren't coming back because a bandit killed them. Garbage. His eyes hardened as he looked at them again, he let the anger fill him up, along with his magic. He shifted the sands at their feet as he spoke, making mounds that would trip them, slow them down. The Leader now spoke up. "Yes, you can help us whelp. Move your pretty little ass out of the way so we can get to the bitch that stole the golden claw, and then had the odasity to take food from us as well!"

He blinked up at the man, ready, every molecule in his body waiting for the moment. "That is no way to talk to a Lady." He said calmly, almost indifferently. "I doubt she stole a claw from you, a worthless item like that. There are only 3 real golden claws in exsistance, and I own two of them, while my friend holds the third. A shamen jipped you." The men did not like this, and their leader gave a roar of anger. "You lie pretty boy, and for this you will pay! You and the bitch will die!" With a gutterily roar, he sent the 20 odd bandits rushing fowards, and the look in Kai's eyes turned to satisfaction. He only drew his sword, waiting...

ROAR!!!

With a leap the powerful haunches of Montrosse pushed foward, paws outstreached to land square on a bandits chest, ripping a gouge in his chest so that bone was visible as flaps of raw meat hung of the man. He gasped, and whirled, falling. The sand had tripped them up, so that the did windmills to stay up. Kai was on them, stabbing on through the chest, lifting up a foot to kick him off his sword and onto another person, fouling that person so he could run his sword through him also. Niroku stayed with the girl, but young Miroku was at his side triping, clawing, and even killing men that he knocked down. However some got behind him, and he had run foward, leaving Atarah alone with a knife she didn't know how to use and a young deadly cub.

Just stab them with it??
Was it really so easy...?
This wasn't going to end well, she could feel it in her stomach. That gut feeling you sometimes get about things.
No, this wouldn't end well at all...

Waitaminute! Golden claw??? Since when did she steal that!? What the hell good would something like that do her anyway!?
Blinking, she glanced over at Kai again as he spoke, and was surprised at what he said. Not only was he talking about there really being something as absurd as golden claws, but...
He was defending her.
When was the last time....?

A slight flush crossed her sun-browned cheeks, and she quickly turned her eyes back to the 'enemy'. Which was probably a good thing, for not moments afterward and they were being rushed. Atarah was frozen, suddenly unable to move her body. Montrosse was suddenly on them, with Kai and Miroku following close behind her.
It was utter chaos, and Atarah had little to no idea what to do.
For once, she couldn't run.
She couldn't....

A few stumbled footsteps kept Atarah from loosing her head, literally, to the sword of one one the bandits. Just stab them. Yeah, sure, where??  The guy had a sword, what was she supposed to do!?
Atarah managed to stumble out of the way a few more times, teeth gritted and her eyes wide like a prey animal being chased.
Damn damn damn!
Another slash, and Atarah dove out of the way, the tip of the blade just catching her upper arm. She rolled, scrambled to get up. Her legs felt like rubber, and her breathing was so heavy it hurt her chest to breath.

So this was what terror felt like...

She was up, running, trying to escape, to save her life. Run, run, run, run, RUN! That is all you have! You must escape, escape!!
Something in her fear had rattled her brain, had rendered her incapable of thinking clearly. The dagger was little more than a dull weight in her hand. Her fight or flight response had kicked in, and all she knew how to do was...
Run.

Up, over that dune, hot sand hitting you in the face. You have to get away Atarah...you must...
Her legs churned in the sand, her body hardly able to form coherent movements any more. She was on the verge of being frozen from fear. Who knew that all those sayings were true? That one could be so frightened as to be unable to move, to think, to do anything but watch their impending death come closer and closer?

"AUGH!!" Searing pain suddenly exploaded through her back, the breath stolen from her lungs as her face met the sandy ground. Her shoulders twitched with the pain that she could not describe, feeling something hard grate against her back.
Crimson blossomed around her as the bandit moved his blade from her back, the slash curling diagonally from her right shoulder to her left hip. It had been surprisingly shallow, with only the middle of the blade catching her spine a bit.
Still, it bled profusely, and Atarah trembled with both fear and pain. Sand stuck to her cheeks, and she realized she was crying, crying the tears of someone struck with terror.

She was going to die.

She was going to die!

(Well, that was randomly dramatic ^^;;; Lol, sorry about that. And I tried to make her reaction as real as possible, since really...she has no clue how to fight, and she really is just like an 18 year old girl after all...so she seems like a coward ^^;; )

Who is Mistress afraid?
Asked litter sister to her older brother, feeling the fear roll off of Atarah in thick waves.
Let's just say it was a good thing that the little leapord could hold her head.
Becuase she beleives that Master more powerful, like momma, and will keep her safe. Lepaord cubs.
As her mother lunged ahead, she resisted the urge to join in, but at just that point, someone had tried to kill Atarah.
Her Atarah, Mistress.
With an angry yowl, she lept on them, sharp claws out and baby fangs bared, hair on end and spitting all the while.
His face was suddenly disformed, with scratches everywhere, and he couldn't see partly because of blood, and partly because of a furry body.
Move, Niroku!
She heard a snarl, and twisted free as her mother barreled into the man, effectivly killing him.
Be more careful, darling.
Was all she said, before the Great Cat was back in the frey.

She took stock carefully, fur blending with the sand as she looked around, despretly trying to find a stable rock.
Kei was surrounded by 6 bandits, but was managing well besides a long gash across his shoulder and shoulder blades.
Momma was advancing on one, snarling, and Miroku was at Kei's heels, defending him best he was able to.
But where was...
MISTRESS!!
The cub scrambled around, following the girl up the sand dune, yowling a warning loud enough for her to hear, fear, panic, and warning in the little voice.
Kei, who heard it, whipped around, effectivly killing another person with a slice, and staring in horror at the blood covering her back.
Niroku was kicked aside, and Montrosse went to him, purely pissed now.
The kitten, despite the soild ache in her ribs, scrambled up, limping as fast as she could on three legs up to Atarah, where the bandit was raising his sword with a vicious grin on his lips for the final blow.
"Ahh..."
Was the last sound he ever made.
As the bandit's body fell slowly over, with a blade coming out of his chest, Kei came into view, with a long thin scratch on his cheek, the hood having been cut completely off, bleeding from various places on his body, running up the sand dune with murder on his face.
He had thrown the blade, a long 14 in. dagger that he kept in his boot, and he thanked the stars that he had took so much time to learn how to do that fast enough.

Niroku, who had cracked her rip, and broken her paw, finished limping up, her first worry the girl that she had decided was her Mistress.
As a Great Cat, they needed Mistresses to take care of, and her brother had Kei, so she would guard Atarah.
Her spotted face thrust itself in hers, and she mewled, making sure that she was all right, leaving her mother to guard Kei's feet as he took up the attack position over her body.
However, it seemed that they were quite done.
The Leader had perished by Kei's sword, but about 7 of them still lived, and they ran off.
Any other time, he would have gone after them, but now he had proiorities.
"What the hell is your problem?"
Finally lowering his sowrd, he turned around, and immeditaly went down on his knees, seeing the sand coverd scratch, a bit of bone showing in the center of her back.
"Oye.. We need to wash this. Can you move?"

[Sorry about the wait.]
